November 30 Days Challenge - Day 9

vickyday

Love my O Family!
CHEERY O
Welcome to Day 9 of the 30 Days Challenge. Today I am grateful to be living in the southern part of the USA. My daughter, who lives in the NE area of Ohio has a weather forecast of a winter storm watch! YIKES! Ready or not.......here it comes! Winter is just around the corner!

Thanks for stopping by! And welcome to a little bit of history of my digiscrapping. I really do hope that I have given you some inspirations for your own 30 days project to tackle at a later date! You can check out the first 4 days for inspiration for building your own project.

To continue my story from yesterday, after I bought PSE 5 back in 2005, it was full steam ahead! Eventually I ended up joining some designer CTs and continued to learn lots about my PSE program. Eventually I broke down and upgraded to PSE 6, which was not a whole lot different than PSE 5. You still had to buy the program on CD back then, maybe 2008. After moving to NC in 2008 from WV, I started dabbling with making my own digital items and gave them away on my blog, "Today's Scrap by Vicky Day (Whittemore, now)". And then I took the dive into becoming a "designer". I joined a site called "Faith Girls". I was there for just a short time when the site closed down. I think I was still on a couple of CTs at that point, too. When Faith Girls closed down, I joined the "Digital Scrapbooking" site and joined the store CT. I did that for a couple of years before I joined the designer team. I never did much as a designer, but I had fun. Eventually, it became more of a chore than a hobby, and my husband got sick with melanoma so I quit designing and even quit digiscrapping for awhile. I really didn't pick it back up until several years after my husband died. That is when I found OScraps. I knew Ona from some of the previous sites and was thrilled when she asked me to join the team! And I haven't looked back! Thanks, Ona, @wombat146 for the chance to join an amazing team and work with amazing designers!

Here is my Days 7-9, left side of the spread. I will begin the right side tomorrow.

And I have been so very happy to have you on the team Vicky! :beatingheart:

I love this page, how awesome to select tiny moments from each day to be grateful for, such a great idea for November. The 9th was my anniversary with hubby, 40 years together. :) We had a REALLY BIG night out, went down to the beach and had fish and chips for dinner with our four dogs!! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I lead such an exciting life! :lol23:

Thanks, Ona!
Actually, your celebration sounds more exciting than our celebrations usually are! Mark has tinnitus so his ears are constantly ringing....but when he is around lots of voice noise, for some reason it escalates! So, we rarely go out to eat during the "normal" eating hours! Lunch is at 11 and dinner is usually around 4 so we miss the crowds!
Happy 40th to you, sweet lady! :heartpumppink::birthday2:
