New Year's Celebrations

It's almost time to ring in 2025! Is anyone planning anything fun to celebrate? I was planning on going to my daughter's house on New Year's Day, but I came down with a cold last night so I'm reserving my decision whether to go or not until tomorrow.

Having said that, I haven't gone out for years---I like to stay home, watch something fun on TV, and turn in after midnight.

New Years Day, if the weather is fine we are going for a drive to see a local waterfall and have a picnic lunch - just the two of us.

In Belgium it is tradition that children at school write a New Year's letter with wishes and then read it out on January 1st...

I was actually in Las Vegas for NYE. I was staying with Susie @pachimac and we spent NYE Day driving through the Red Rock Canyon. We headed home and watched the new year come in by watching the local fireworks on TV.

Also, our dogs HATED the fireworks, and I swear it sounded like a war zone!! Fireworks are illegal here but that didn't matter - LV people find show quality fireworks and set them off in the neighborhoods!! It's cray!!

I was reading in bed at midnight and heard fireworks going off. They are legal here but only during certain holidays...I don't remember if NYE is one of them. I'm glad you and Cheryl had the chance to celebrate together!
