It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 02.21.20 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.
HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.
Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!
Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

THIS WEEK WE ARE LIFTING:
Turn Upside Down by scrap-genie
Expressive and emotional accurately describes this week’s subtle lift. Four different sized blocks fill the page—each block visually conveys a different emotion as the artist experiences a life-changing event. Using a tonal color palette cleverly emphasizes conflicting feelings and documents the ebb and flow of her experience. The upper left square is darker in tone communicating negativity followed by a whiter square signaling static then another square with some darkness representing ambiguity and ending with a bottom square filled with brighter colors and positive patterns. A spray of blooming flowers symbolically conveys a new beginning or perhaps a rebirth. Small phrases place throughout the layout help chronicle her changing thoughts and emotions. This very talented artist has channeled her transformative experience into a creative and compelling design that like all great art evocates an emotional response.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Create a photo-less layout that conveys a feeling or emotion. Or use one photo that conveys emotion.
• Try a tonal color palette where you use different shades of one color. Or try a
pastel palette.
• Use color blocking in your design or use separate sections.
• Incorporate an ArtsyKard or two into your art.
• Add a meaningful words or quotes throughout your design.
• Accent with brushwork, stains, or splatters.
