All architecture related and inspired by the theme of my designer spotlight; Altered Architeture.

Zen & the Art of Architecture
I’ve created this product since I’ve always wanted to create a kit about architecture, but it all came together when I was looking at some mixed media houses.
I knew I wanted to make it part of the ‘Zen & the Art of’ Collection, but I couldn’t really figure out how to combine it. Until, I realised that these mixed media
houses are a perfect example of putting different parts together to create something new. And this reminded me of my graduation direction, called RMIT,
which is all about reusing old buildings and giving them a new life. With this in mind I created this kit as a mixture of vintage elements, hand drawn parts , etc.

Mixed Media Houses
While thinking about challenges for my designer spotlight, I came on the idea of creating mixed media houses for a challenge.
And ofcourse I had to try with real paper and paint; and these are the result

Miss Flora
In the Netherlands, reuse of existing buildings will be the main architectural challenge. And as I’m focussing on the RMIT direction within my
architecture study, this is of course one of our takes on sustainability. We can’t ignore it anymore, every design project we have is based on sustainability.
And therefore I’ve created Miss Flora, who wants to become a green queen.

Cut Out Overlays
One of my other fascinations besides reuse, is a diagrid. A diagrid is a type of façade, where strong diagonal lines are present
as a grid layer over the façade of the building. But I also like the more organic like shaped variant of this type of façade. so I took this
principle to create cut out overlays for your layouts.
