Napping

Do you take naps? As in, do you specifically take some time out of your day to catch some sleep? Chronic sleep deprivation is a big thing in the USA, and many experts suggest taking a nap during the day can help make up for the sleep we don't get at night.

I have never been one to purposefully take a nap. I do occasionally fall asleep while watching TV or reading a book, but that doesn't happen on purpose. I always plan on just getting to bed early if I'm feeling tired. Two of my sisters are well-known for taking advantage of naps during the day, but I just can't do it.

Oh I wish I could make it happen on a regular basis. But I just can't fit it into my schedule daily. However, on weekends, I do like a nap. I got one on Saturday.

I am one of those people that feels worse after I nap. It doesn't matter how long it is or it is deep sleep or not, I always feel groggy and more tired after it. The only times I have "successfully" napped was after my surgeries. Gary and Caitlyn can nap and still be ok the rest of the day and sleep at night. Scott and I can't, he reacts the way I do.

Only when I am very tired I can take a nap in the afternoon ...
My husband - he sits on the couch in the afternoon and within 10 minutes he is in dreamland ...

When I work with the morning shift, I am really sick of it, this week I managed not to take naps, but usually I do and I take a nap every day when I get home after work.
I don't do that with the afternoon shift, but when I come home at 10 p.m. I don't even get off the couch anymore and I also fall asleep in front of the TV to wake up at night and then crawl into my bed

I absolutely do it, as I can't survive anyway! Instead to over caffeine my body, I'm taking short nap. This is much better for my nerves! :p As the time and duration depends of the season.
