Hi everyone! I'm Sonja, an avid journaler and memory keeper who loves finding creative ways to tell my story. This month, I have a challenge that will push you to think outside the box: Create a layout with lots of journaling—NO pictures allowed!
We often let photos do the storytelling, but words can be just as powerful. This is your chance to dive deep into your thoughts, memories, and emotions using only your writing, embellishments, and design elements.
Need some inspiration? Here are a few themes to get you started:
- Embracing Change – As winter transitions to spring, reflect on changes in your life and how you handle them.
- Fresh Starts – March symbolizes renewal. What new habits or projects do you want to begin?
- Letting Go – Explore what mental, emotional, or physical clutter you need to let go of.
- Energy & Movement – As days get longer, how can you boost your energy levels and integrate more movement into your routine?
- Mindful Living – Focus on being present in daily activities, from eating to walking outside. What small moments bring you joy?
- Connection & Relationships – Reflect on your relationships, how they shape you, and whether you want to deepen or redefine them.
- Creativity & Expression – What role does creativity play in your life? How can you nurture it, especially in photography?
- Spring Cleaning for the Soul – Beyond decluttering your home, what emotional or mental baggage needs tidying up?
- Nature’s Influence – Observe seasonal shifts around you. How does nature inspire or affect your mood, routines, or photography?
- Gratitude & Growth – Reflect on what you’re grateful for and areas where you’ve grown since the start of the year.
Use your favorite fonts, stamps, stickers, and textures to bring your words to life! Let’s celebrate the beauty of storytelling through journaling. I can't wait to see what you create! Oh, and don't forget to use wordbits...they are great to add an extra focus.

RULES:
- Create a layout with lots of journaling—NO pictures allowed, more info at the top of the post.
- Please use 80% Oscraps products that are currently in the store.
- Non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not.
- You need to credit all the products used on your layout.
- You need to credit the source of any photo(s) as per Gallery Guidelines
- Your layout can not be used for more than one challenge.
- Your page must be posted in the Challenge 1 gallery by midnight PST March 31st 2025 and linked back to this thread (see below on how to add your linked layout).
- And do not forget to update the CURRENT MONTH'S TRACKING THREAD to be eligible for your coupon.
Adding a linked layout from the Gallery to a thread:
1. Upload your layout to the gallery first. In your forum post click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
2. This will open your gallery, simply click on the layout you require, then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Continue button.
3. Your linked layout is now in your post, the image will appear once you have clicked the Post Reply button.
