Many of us know that money can't buy you a healthy life.
Every day that we get up healthy is a gift, and we can be grateful.

For a moment we were afraid that my husband wouldn't be okay. Fortunately, everything is going to be okay with him again.

It has been a tough and hectic year, last September the health problems started, with my husband, with my father. I myself had to recover from a shoulder operation.

In December we moved my father to the residential care center, and we were able to take care of him there for 5 months before he passed away.

July this year we went on vacation, to relax after all the sadness and worries.

And in August this year my husband gets sick again. And I break my wrist and have to have surgery.

And now we know that everything will be okay, the loss of my father is still very great. Mentally I have had a tough year, but I am strong, I am slowly climbing back up.

I enjoy our wonderful granddaughter and the countless little moments of happiness.

Vera, Ik had ook enkele jaren zoveel op mijn bord! Er komt weer een betere tijd! Geniet zoveel mogelijk van dit lieve schatje! Je hebt nog zoveel moois rondom je! Ik ben blij dat ik dat ook al die tijd steeds gezien heb, het geeft zoveel kracht! Wat een prachtige foto's heb je weer gemaakt! :heartpumpred:

Ik weet het dat jij dat die periode hebt doorgemaakt. Vandaag heb ik echt even een emo momentje, maar huilen kan zo'n deugd doen. Hoe gaat het met jou man intussen ?

Het gaat beter maar het zal niet meer helemaal herstellen. Hij is jaren ouder geworden in gezondheid en daar moeten we samen mee leren leven!

Dat is wel een hele boterham om te verwerken Vera. Heel begrijpelijk dat je een zware tijd hebt gehad ...
Toen ik deze week de mooie foto's van Oone op FB zag dacht ik bij mezelf .... niet te geloven dat ze al bijna 7 maanden is .... een zonnestraaltje om je aan op te trekken ...
Ik hoop echt dat jullie het nu gehad hebben en dat je man snel recupereert ...

Dat is hier ook, elke ziekte zorgt voor een stapje achteruit. Maar we blijven ons optrekken aan de goede momenten.

Je hebt het enorm voor je kiezen gehad! Ik hoop dat alles nu in rustiger vaarwater kont! Geiet van je kleindochter, het is een schatje! Je hebt erg mooie foto's gemaakt!

Oh dear Vera, you've been through so much with your father, husband and yourself. Sending lots of big hugs to you as you make it through your "new normal". Part of your "new normal" is that precious grandbaby. We have to be thankful for all our blessings, that's for sure. Grandbabies are God's gift to us and I like to think of it as "getting a second chance to be a Mom". My big joke is "if I'd know how amazing they were, I'd have had them first".

Sending you lots and lots of joy with your precious little one. They sure help take the pain of life away, if only for awhile, but they DO take it away. :hug3::hug4::heartpumpred::heartpumpred: I know you do, but treasure every moment with this little Gift from God. They grow up so quickly. I spent a delightful day with one of my (now 24) grands and I can't tell you how she lifted my spirits.

Och, wat kun je dan ineens veel op je bord krijgen. Het is moeilijk voor jullie allemaal. Maar zo fijn dat er zo'n lief en mooi zonnestraaltje in je leven is.

My daughter was 30 when she became pregnant, so be patiënt :giggle4:

Yeah, very true...so far my son would be the closest chance of having grandbabies because he is actually engaged to a wonderful woman :lovey3: I was 20 and 21 when I had my two oldest, but I ended up finding out I was pregnant with my youngest 8 days before my 30th b-day :thud: It was a huge difference for me, body and tiredness wise, compared to my first two pregnancies! LOL There are peeps having babies in their 50's, just have to keep my hopes up!! :dancingelephant:
