All members that participate, can everyone PLEASE ensure that you read all the rules for this challenge
so that you can claim your challenge points. Thank you! :)

I am very excited to start out 2022 hosting the Artsy/Mixed Media challenge because I LOOOOVE pages with lots of paint, gesso and blending. For 2022, I want y'all to love them too. That's why I am making this challenge an easy one.

The theme for this page can be anything you want. An artsy page is a great chance to scrap your word of the year for 2022. Make a list of those resolutions that will be abandoned before this challenge is over. Create an uplifting message for yourself. Maybe you just need to release some of the stress you are feeling. Artsy pages are good for all of this. There are just two little things I need you to do.

One, you need to fill your page with artsy elements. I want to see your page filled with brushes, paint splats, overlays, textures, painterly styles, gesso etc. This is not a challenge where you can put a couple of paint splats behind a photo and be done. Your page should be filled with artsy goodness. Two, your page must include some gesso. Gesso is included in lots of kits but if you don't have any, here a chance to add some to your stash.

Gesso at Oscraps

Here's my page.

Forward-2022WordoftheYear.jpg

RULES:
- Your page must be filled with artsy items like paint, textures, scribbles etc and the page must include gesso.
- Please use 80% Oscraps products that are currently in the store.
- Non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not.
- You need to credit all the products used on your layout.
- Your page must be posted in the Challenge 6 gallery by midnight PST 31 January 2022 and linked back to this thread (see below on how to add your linked layout).
- And do not forget to update the CURRENT MONTH'S TRACKING THREAD to be eligible for your coupon.

Adding a linked layout from the Gallery to a thread:
1. Upload your layout to the gallery first. In your forum post click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
2. This will open your gallery, simply click on the layout you require, then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Continue button.
3. Your linked layout is now in your post, the image will appear once you have clicked the Post Reply button.

I love this challenge. It is so not my style and so the word challenge is very appropriate. I'm definitely adding this to my "to do" list.

So can a photo from my upcoming trip be used at all? It makes a huge difference how I go about this one...

You can totally use a photo. You just have to include lots of artsy elements on the page.

Love this challenge. Acrylic Mixed Media artwork blended with digital media fun. Lots of gesso as elements & texture used in my original floral artwork as well as this new digital artwork.
