that was good. i enjoyed his defense of technology as authentic. but i'm always a little amused by people with tons of serious photographic "kit" who think that all they need is MORE of it, and they'll become Ansel Adams.

Agreed. But true his view is very interesting especially about time itself is what gives many photos the respect they deserve.

I like his philosophy that it's about capturing the event and the mood. That's what it is all about for me. I've come to accept that I will not ever be considered a photographic Artiste, but my family's history is being written as I photograph with whatever camera is in my hand, and even more so as I scrap them. I will send people to the library or bookstore who want to see photographic Art.
 
Thanks Heather for sharing - some really interesting thoughts there. I fell in love with the phrase "I was here and this is what I saw." Perfect title for a LO :)
