If you put up a Christmas tree, when do you put it up?

I won't decorate for Christmas until after we celebrate Thanksgiving. After that, I start bringing my "little things" out. We usually put our tree up about the second week in December. When the kids were home, we did it right after Thanksgiving. We leave ours up until after New Year's Day so it's up for quite awhile.

Thanksgiving for us was in October (Canada), but I always wait until after Nov. 11th (Remembrance day) to show respect for that first. I feel like I'm late this year, haven't got it out yet - but plan to this weekend! It goes down between Boxing Day and New Years, I like having the house clean and uncluttered again after Christmas is over.

But to make it up I let him stay very long. One time it was near Easter..

Anytime between the week before and the weekend before christmas. And it stays until the first week of january.

We decorate on December 6t Saint Nicholas Day and keep it to January 7 as in the Gregorian calendar this was the Christmas Day and we are country with ancient traditions, so my family tries to respect the old beliefs too.

We decorate the Christmas tree after Sinterklaas (6 December). He will remain until after Epiphany (January 6).

We usually try to put it up the first week in Decemeber. Sometimes we would do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. I prefer to have it up early and down early. I feel like my limit for the chaos expires within 48 hours after Christmas Day.

Today we hung Christmas decorations outside and inside our porch. In our living room it will probably be 2 weeks before Christmas

We stopped putting one up several years ago because Sano and Zume just paid no attention when they were running and Sano's tail could be brutal. Maybe, I'll give it a try again next year. Inuyasha and Ishka are slightly less insane. lol

Usually our tree goes up the first wkend in Dec but this year I’m not sure. I might wait til mid month b/c it’s going to be tricky with the pup, she jumps and wrestles with Taz a lot and I can see both dogs knocking the tree down when they are racing around and wrestling.
