I just packed up all of my 4th of July decorations today. I was undecided what theme to decorate with so I decided to pull out my fall decorations! My house is all cozy and fallish! I guess I'm used to decorating for the seasons because I decorated my classroom for over thirty years. Do you decorate your house for the seasons?

I decorate for Easter/Spring, Summer/4th of July, Fall/Halloween/ and Thanksgiving/Christmas. I have a different wreath for our front door for all the different occasions, too.
I have always wanted to be a wreath girl.....I only have a seriously crappy looking Christmas one, and if it is not a happy time during that time of the year for the other holidays, not happening :pokestick::killer::voodoodoll::giggle4: I DO really want to try to make a really cool Halloween wreath. I missed out on decorating for the last two Halloweens, and it was just painful. I have SO wanted to create some cool epic wreath....maybe I can ask my son to pull out my Halloween stuff early enough so I can see what all I have and create something cool from that. We shall see.......muahahahaaa..... :hiding1:

Girls, I took a floral arrangement class several years ago and I learned how to the "basics" for just about any kind of floral thig you could ever want to make. I didn't want to go at the time, a friend dragged me, but it was one of the best things I ever did. Once you know what basics you need, they apply to everything. I make a lot of my own wreaths - I buy grapevine wreaths at Walmart, etc. and decorate them myself. I also find them at places like Walmart and they're VERY reasonable. My 4th of July wreath came from there and it's beautiful.

I decorate for winter, valentine, easter…..then fall, halloween, Sinterklaas, Christmas
I have no clue what to use as summer deco, since a beach theme isn’t my thing, so nothing from easter till mid september usually. Depends a bit on the weather. If it’s grey and raining a lot I start fall decorations sooner.

I just usually have a big pot full of artificial sunflowers in my house for summer, Sonja. I found some beautiful, big ones this year at Walmart. That's about all I do and I cut some flowers from my garden and bring them in once in awhile.

Sure - I'll be over as soon as I get my shoes on. Seriousy, I can talk you through it - it's easier than you think. You live about 700 miles from me - I just looked. I'm in NE Oklahoma.
Yeah, it is like me driving to Anna, Texas to visit my family, back in the day....that was an 11 hour trip, for the most part...alright, we will do it your way :floorlaugh: We have family on Tim's side in Broken Arrow, OK, BTW!

Way back when, I would decorate for the seasons/holidays. I was a PreK teacher so it was in my blood.;)Then my kids' school projects were added to the decor that I had made myself when I had time to make my own. (Hard to tell the difference between my "art" and a 4 yo's Bwuhahaha!).
We still decorate the house fully for Halloween (usually that happens in late Sept) and Christmas.
I do a small amount of decorating for the summer- seashells/sea glass, beachy-scented candles etc. But Halloween is the *b8g* one here.

That's awesome! A lady I know used to teach wreath making classes and I always wanted to go. She's had some health issues this last year so I'm not sure she still does them. I would have loved to have gone.

That sounds great, Sonja! I bet it's beautiful there at Christmas!

SAME here....Halloween comes first, and then I take it down to do Christmas. DONE. And then I still leave lights up because I love lights ALL year round :heartpumpred: :heartpumppink: :heartpumpred:

@joyfulheartdesigns Make a steampunk Hallowe'en wreath. That would be so cool and very different. Add lots of metal objects to the leaves and autumn flowers.
I dressed as a steampunk witch one year which went over really well.
I decorate for Christmas only and have made my own wreaths and garlands. DH loves Christmas and wants the house decorated from top to bottom. I have so many wreaths I have run out of doors and walls.
