I bought PSE 2025 and thought I would just love it. However, when making a layout, when you click the selection tool, it will allow you to move an element but does not allow you to change the size or the angle of the element once it has been placed. This is a feature that was available with any version of PSE I have owned but it doesn't work with PSE 2025. I was so disappointed. I was hoping they would say they would fix it. They did say they would pass my feedback on to the appropriate person. I have a Mac computer and have never had this issue with any other version of PSE. I wanted to let you know in case you planned on buying it for their Black Friday sale. Have any of you bought it and not had this issue? They told me my refund will come in 5-7 days.

I appreciate your feedback. As a Mac gal I would have cried had I not been able to change size and angle. That's a key feature of scrapbooking. Why oh why would they take that away???? Glad they're refunding you!

Yes, I don't know why it doesn't work. It was so disappointing. Also, it takes the ease out of the duplicate feature because any element you duplicate, you will be unable to change the size or angle of that element either.

Glad they are refunding you. Thank you for posting this. I had considered upgrading but this is a deal breaker.

that sounds awful ,glad you were able to get a refund. Another reason for me to stay with pse10.

I'm hoping they will fix it. When you hit the move selection tool, it normally puts direction boxes on each corner to make it larger, smaller or rotate but that feature doesn't work in PSE 2025.

Yes, I will stick with my older version which is 2024. I liked some of the new features they had such as remove items from background and change colors in a photo but those don't effect functionality like the move tool does.

Evelyn, I've been researching this since I saw your post. From what I can, the Transform handles are still there and you can manipulate an element just like you could before. Are you sure the the "show bounding box" was checked in the Tools Options Bar? And did you try the Transform command— CTLR+T?

Hey, Vicki! Thank you so much for your response. They are refunding my money so they deactivated my PSE 2025 so I can't check what boxes were marked. I do know that before an element was placed down I was able to resize it and change the angle but once it was set in place, they could not be changed. The transform handles were there until the object was placed down and then they could not be changed. I know, from a friend, that PS 2025 works but I had PSE 2025. I have never had this issue with any other version of PSE so I don't know what the problem is. Also, I never had to check or uncheck any box, in previous versions, to be able to resize or rotate objects that were placed down on layouts. I don't know if it is some type of glitch or if it is a glitch because I use a Mac. Maybe PC users aren't facing this issue.

Too bad you can’t check. That box is deselected by default but once you check it stays checked, so you probably wouldn’t remember having to do that the first time -x it’s something that always confuses people. The videos I saw were on Macs and they all were able to go back and resize. Too bad you didn’t try the CMD-T command. But I’m glad you got your money back! I might try to download a trial version when I have time and then record it for you - I’m a Mac girl too.

Vicki, I downloaded the trial version and that was the problem! Once I checked that box it worked. Thank you so much for your help! I will contact them to reinstate my license!

Vicki Robinson helped me and now it works!
