Mistress of Mayhem
Ok, so I have been watching lots of Christmas movies lately, and I have to ask: Do Americans really drink hot cocoa all the time, or is that just "a thing" in Christmas movies?
In Sweden I'd say hot cocoa is mainly for kids. Maybe with sandwiches for breakfast or snack. Being adult and drinking hot cocoa is kinda seen as strange. Also, we don't add half a candy store in the mug. Usually just hot cocoa, and sometimes some whipped cream.
And, how do you make your hot cocoa? I usually make mine (cuz I'm a child in my mind and still love me some hot cocoa) by just microwaveing som milk and stir in some instant cocoa. (Also, love to add a teaspoon of instant coffee to it. Yummy!) Occasionally, I make it the old-school way: boiling milk on the stove with sugar and cocoa powder.
Please, tell me all I need to know about hot cocoa! How do you make it? What do you add? Yummy recipes?
