Do you make a big dinner for Easter? If so, is it a tradition to have the same foods? My kids like me to do the same thing each year.

Ham
Corn Pudding
Nutty Green Beans
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Rolls
Strawberry butter
Orange Sherbet Salad
Deviled Eggs
Rolls
Cheesecake

That's a great menu, Linda. We're all going to our daughter's but we haven't firmed up our menu yet. I know we'll have ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, those are always a given. We'll have salad and appetizers and usually mimosas for a holiday. There will be a couple of pies or cakes, too. Adrienne loves her charcutier board, too. Her hubby had a really big one made for her (us). LOL

Sounds excellent Cheryl! (Shaun may insist on the green bean casserole instead of my nutty green beans. That is one of his favs.)

Nope, we don't really celebrate Easter as it is so no big dinner is necessary. My parents come up for brunch. My mom makes Italian Easter Pie and we have bagels and mimosas.
We did egg hunts in the house when the kids were little. They turned the tables on us in 2020. It was just a few weeks into lockdown and I guess feeling a bit punchy from being isolated. They hid Easter eggs filled with junk they found around the house. It was absolutely hysterical!

We do not really celebrate Easter, so no big dinner. We do have two Easter days, so an extra day of work is great!!

This was the quality of what was in our Easter eggs :lol23:

It was also the inspiration to have our Theme Nights all summer because, like Linda and Cheryl, I love having fun (and loud) family dinners

My sister usually has a giant potluck dinner. I usually take apple slices and strawberries plus marshmallow topping/cream cheese dip. Divine! The "kids", all in their 20's now, still do easter egg hunts! (they humor us old folk!)
Got to love kids that humor the old folks!
