Morning everyone :welcome: I am just here for a second to start this thread and then DH and I are headed out to Saison's for brunch. I will try to get in here later on today to catch up with all of you. I know that Chris is away at her Mom and Dad's place, hopefully having lots of outside time in the sunshine? Wishing you all a wonderful day!

thanks Trudy - waving at you and your MG as we watch the Stanley Cup Final! Lets go boys! Today was a beautiful day in NJ. Partly cloudy and 80. My son's BBQ company catered my girlfriend's daughter's boyfriend's 30th birthday party. It was outdoors at a near by park. The family had been sweating the weather since they decided to do it outdoors but it was a perfect day. We were invited and went. We helped them set up and it was great! Everyone said just how tasty the food was and so many were going back for seconds. Makes a momma very proud. We had to walk aways to get to the car and I of course did my birding and we saw a great blue, red-winged blackbird and mallard parents with the mom leading about 8 ducklings. An awesome day for me. I even went and fed their pets while they still partied and probably cleaning up.

Trudy have a great brunch and enjoy the game.

Waving to all who are having a busy Sat!

We only saw the 1st period, but see the Bruins won big tonight! This morning was the genealogical committee meeting after which I reviewed a manuscript in the collection that we're going to feature in a newsletter this summer. It was fascinating. Lovely day with some rain this evening, storms around but missing us.

Trudy, know you and your MG were happy with the score. Thanks for starting this for the weekend. Chris is sure to be enjoying her time off to the lake.

Nancy, the BBQ sounds like a great time especially with the weather, and you even got to see some birds, but not quite like what you saw in Florida.

It's nice to have a pleasant day in June!

good Sunday morning - Congrats to those Bruins they did everything correctly. Trudy I think I heard Gary yelling here in NJ. They looked so good. My former Devils really came through too! Good to see. The BBQ was a great success. A number of the people there asked for his business card so that was awesome. And there was not a lot left over so that was great as they did not over buy on food and the guests loved the food. Got more scrapping done and that made me happy! And this morning I am watching the French Open Tennis. Will eventually take Luther on a walk.

Jean your meetings always sound so interesting. I would be attending if I was there. Glad that the weather was not too bad. We were to have rain at night but nothing happened yea! Today we are expecting thunderstorms late. But now it is gorgeous sunny and high 60s.

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone! Did you hear us clapping and screaming last night?? Yes that was DH and I celebrating a great win by our Bruins!! They really played their best!! Before hockey we were busy as per our usual Saturday! First we had a great brunch at Saison's it was a lovely sunny and warm morning and the Omelet was superb! The market and restaurant is situated on a vineyard, so pretty and peaceful, but a very popular place LOL. It was the first day of the season for them to be open and they only are open on the weekends, so we were very lucky to get a spot outside to enjoy our brunch! Then we got our grocery shopping done, then home so that DH could get the grass cut and I vacuumed the house. When the shade was one the fence later in the afternoon we both went out to get some more staining done. Just one more section to do today and it will be finished. I got supper ready before the hockey game, home made pizza :hungry: We enjoyed it very much especially when the game ended so well :becky:

Nancy - Yes your former Devils have been playing so great!! We sure made a good pick with those two!! Your son's little BBQ business is taking off, how wonderful!! I hope he gets lots of business! You should be very proud of your son!! How nice to see the birds on your walk back to the car! The momma duck and her little ones would have been so cute to see! Enjoy watching the French Open!! You are such a great sports fan!! Hope you and Luther get your walk in before the T-Storms start!!

Jean - So happy that your June is starting off with some nicer weather! Yes your meetings always sound so interesting! Is there a way we can see your newsletter when it comes out?

Chris - I hope you are getting some sunshine and you are relaxing on the beach!!

DH is sleeping in again this morning, but I hear that he is in the shower now, so I will start a fresh pot of coffee and hopefully we can sit out on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee together! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!!

I forgot to pop in here yesterday...sorry. I was busy doing scraping and up-loading LOs where they needed to go. The first couple of days of the month keeps me busy as can be. Fell into bed before 9PM but read until I dropped the book at 9:30! Guess my body was worn out as I slept in until almost 8AM. Couldn't seem to get going even with coffee. Still feeling 'blab' and on the cold side. It is 83* already - so decided to open the house up and see if that helps warm me up.... along with a hot shower. The wind was blowing like mad again in the afternoon and evening but is calm right now. Dug out a pair of pedal-pushers and ss tee to see if dressing like it is hot will help. :eek:hwell:

Sounds like everyone is having a good weekend with winners in hockey and eating out or having a good meal at home. I had some of my eggplant-zucchini casserole for supper last night (one of my frozen ones). Think I may run over and pick-up a Mexican dinner for supper tonight. Don't feel like cooking.

Good morning lOvelies!
Trudy, thanks for opening the thread! Especially when you're so busy too! Is that the same vineyard, that was closed previous time when you try and you had to put it on hold on in your plans!? It sounds me as good award for the good job you did with the staining.

I hope that Chris is enjoying on the lake vacation, she was talking about vacation so passionate and I know it's not a Disney World, but is beach vacation, so must be fun!

I was thinking often for the Nancy's BBQ too, because here is raining whole weekend and I was worried. So, Nancy, I was so happy to hear that it was such a hit!

Jean, ditto to what Nancy said. You makes me very curious about your genealogical meetings, I'm sure it's very intriguing to be there.

Kay, It's wonderful that your creative mood continue and you are able to scrap!

As I mentioned it's rainy all weekend, with starts and stops again. But this was not an obstacle for us at Saturday to go on the Big Spring Book Sale. I came back with 6 books and with the speed of my reading I have enough to the end of the year  . I can't wait to the next weekend to start the book that Trudy was told me about! "Never Knowing" by Chevy Stevens. Unfortunately this is the only her book released here. But better than nothing!
