Daily O's Thursday, Aug 8th

Hi Fun O Fam!!! I can tell this is the calm before the storm. We are all getting our kiddos ready for school and it makes for less time on the laptop, for sure!! I'm hiding out in my craft studio this week trying to get projects done before I get back in the swing of things this year.

I have two kids taking all of their classes in outside classes and one (lil) doing writing and literature with me and the rest in outside classes. For a homeschooler, outside classes are just other hsing moms who teach my kiddos so I don't have to figure out the square root of something or the physics (or chemistry in our case!! eeeeeeek!!) of something! sheep2

I love the place they take these classes because they've hired me to monitor (keep kids quiet in study hall, etc!). So I get paid to stalk my children and their friends. (happy mom!!) And that will feed my fabric habit! super fun!!!

I'm off to blog about what I created yesterday. It's my birthday month, so I'm trying to create everyday and keep a record of it, too!! I'm thinking of doing a digital quilt journal soon!! Someone needs to get me more hours in the day!! Please!!!

Jean, I love that puzzle!! We are big puzzle people here...we usually start one at Christmas and get it done by the Superbowl party (early Feb). That would be a kicker here!! Send down some of that cooler weather, please!! ♥

Phylis, I had gotten where I cooked perfect amounts so we had awesome leftovers everyday, and then mr gorgeous's cousin moved in with us. He moved out 5 months later, but my amounts have still been off!!! :O crazy sally!! And btw, if everyone new here is from Texas, that'd be enough warm bodies! LOL!!! ♥

Sally, i love that idea about other HS moms taking over physics and the like! if i had ever home schooled, math and science would NOT have been my forte. for sure. :der: absolutely. and, wow, you are a creative dynamo. EVERY DAY?? i can't even get my act together to make a digi page lately. :hurt:

well. it's HOT here. not really hot, but the humidity is a killer today. and here's me, cleaning like a madwoman in anticipation of the arrival of my son and The Grandmen in a few days. yikes! i would have liked a few more days notice, but i'll take them where and when i can get them. it'll be another whirlwind visit involving a trip to a big local amusement park and me straightening up the bathrooms every 10 minutes. probably i'll be getting a few laughs, too. my older GM has decided that his little brother's name should be "Dop." so, no doubt there will be more stuff like that in store, which always takes First Prize my "Laugh of the Day" contest.

so, back to dusting and putting "away" my various Piles o' Stuff. hope your day goes beautifully, any Ozies who read this. :becky:

Sally, you sound so busy and productive. Congrats for that and for your birthday month.

Phylis, I know the coming of the GM will make all the cleaning up worth it!

Anyway, only scheduled event today is getting my teeth cleaned. Oh joy. Then tonight having football on TV, not my favorite thing. Just give me baseball!

Good afternoon - I had errands this morning including the eye doctor- about as bad as the dentist- first we played eyepatch try to see the dots and then eye drops and more eye drops and eyes are doing well so back in 6 months. Then the run around and the humidity oh my never thought I would beg for rain. Then we had rain over an inch and my power went off and I had to shut the internet down. Yikes quite the afternoon. REady for a quiet evening!!
