Daily O's- Monday September 4 - Labor Day Edition

Good morning ladies! It's Labor Day in both the US and Canada! Anytime I can have a 3 day weekend, I am up for it! (I see that I have quite a few exclamation pointsso I will try to calm myself down a little bit. I guess the has kicked in.)

Our big plans are to head to the ocean...and I think we are going to look for a bench or a couple of chairs to sit in outside the lanai. I think that we may pour a small patio outside the lanai for grilling and for sitting outside to watch the birds without a screen between us. Now that the weather is getting nicer (it's 69 degrees this morning and I'm loving that), we may want to be outside a little bit more.

Other than that, no plans at all!

@BrightEyes wow! It sounds like you accomplished a lot yesterday. We had a potato start to rot in our pantry...the stink...just awful. Hope you didn't overdo so much that you are still exhausted today!

@Cherylndesigns were the girls able to see Marley yesterday afternoon? I've never heard of anything like a disease that only happens in one state! That's crazy! I sure hope that all of these tests provide some answers.

@taxed4ever are the fingerprints gone? It sounds like you had a good time at your brother's house. That sounds like such a nice day. I listened to some oldies yesterday as well. Listened to some Jimmy Buffet. I was never a Parrot Head but he had a few songs that I loved. And I hope that the doctor can figure out something with your hand/arm.

@bcgal00 I hope that you had some good traffic at the open house yesterday.

Happy Labor Day Holiday to all who celebrate it.
Just a bit sad this morning - it is my oldest sister's birthday. She passed away in 2017. Sept 6th is my Dad's birthday - he passed in 1994. We used to celebrate their birthdays together. Always called her "Daddy's Girl" as she looked more like him and his family while I took after Mom's family. Going through the family's photos has brought back so many fun memories from the past.

Don't think I 'over did it' yesterday but am going to take it easy today. Glad I found the rotten potato and got rid of it and the others that were going bad. The house smells nice and fresh this morning... Thought about making it a PJ day but changed my mind and got dressed. Will probably just laze around reading and relaxing. Think I will have a hamburger and sweet potato fries for supper. We usually had that or hot dogs for the holiday meal. Just wish it would be cool enough to sit out on the patio this evening. It has been in the high 90's in the afternoons and into the evenings - as late as 11 PM!!! Seems crazy to have the A/C running that late!

Happy Labor Day!

I'm here - just got back from running errands with Adrienne. She needed to grocery shop and we had an order to pick up so we got them both. They're having some people over this afternoon for Ava's birthday, so I guess I'll head up there later on. Some of her friends are having a pool party, if it doesn't rain, and then they're eating about five, so I'll probably go up about four.

Linda @LSlycord Alyssa and her gf did go see Marley yesterday. I guess she's still pretty lethargic, but was happy to see them. Yes, isn't that the weirdest thing about the "OK illness"? I've never heard of anything like that before either. They feel like they've stabilized her and are probably going to let her come home about Wednesday. IF her white count doesn't go back up, that is. They said that the local vet could help out if they bring her home and that happens. They're waiting on tests, but some of them won't be back for three to four weeks, so they're no need to keep her there. They're pretty baffled because of her age. She's a year old today same bd as Ava's.

I'm going to run now,but hugs to everyone. I worked on a layout last night to keep my mind busy, a second one for the Art Journaling Challenge. The first one was just kind of for fun.
