es yes...I am up....way too early.....I guess this pounding headache woke me up....

Well....mission "CLEAN OUT MY CLOSET" went well yesterday....took me all day...well that's mostly because I didn't work too terribly fast at it....I still have a pile of clothes to get up that I cleaned out to get rid of....YAY!!! I think today is clean out the pantry day....I try to keep it very well organized....I don't like not knowing what foods I have in there and then having to throw things out...but over the last few weeks (starting back to when I was sick) it has just become a cluttered mess in there!!! Oh..but I may not get that done....just remembered my Mom called last night and wants me to go to the mall with her. Guess that's what I am doing today....sounds better than cleaning out something...huh?

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS MONTH IS ALMOST OVER??? what my Mom used to tell me is sooooooooooooooo true....time flies by when you get older....crap...I guess I better not blink when I am in my 70's...I might miss months at a time

I hope you all have a wonderful day

WEll Nana- hope you caught some shut eye after being up so early. I am up and draining- can't wait for the meds to begin to kick in. I was fortunate enough to have them call me in prescription. Glad I had all my vitals/info done for them and they know I have had many sinus infections over the years.

Nana, PLEASE go have your head examined!! (you know what i mean. not the other thing....) i'm remembering your bump on the head, and now you keep having headaches. go let someone have a look, OK? please?

i actually slept around 7 hour straight! amazing! and in a recliner, too. i think i might be getting good at "recliner sleeping." i just keep thinking about my brand new, wonderful mattress upstairs, though. all warm and puffy. ah, well.

it's aproaching 60 degrees here today. but raining. gotta go grocery shopping and then try to reinstall my printer, which for some reason stopped wanting to print yesterday. i hate this. it'll take me hours. last time it kept saying that it was incompatible with y version of Windows, even though i'd been using it already for 2 years before it started acting weird. technology. it doesn't SAVE time, it WASTES time.

have a Happy Tuesday, O-zies. find the funny. :becky:

Phylis - how was the grandman visit- did it happen or did the weather interfere? Did you recently update printer drivers- sometimes that can move it out of whack.

hi, Laurie. glad you got your meds. i've working on trying to cure a bladder infection, and i was able to call in the med request, just like you. no sense in wasting anyone's time when you already KNOW what it is!! hope you're feeling better soon. i'm guess winters where you live are pretty much just like winters here: lots of sinus trouble, dry air and crappy weather....

The Grandmen Visit was excellent!! they even recognized me!!!
no, the drivers were up to date. it just STOPPED printing. the "jobs" would show up in the queue, but no printing happened. annoying.

Pretty much same weather, but you are just east enough to get more of the nor'easter weather than we do here, so usually not as much snow- enough to make me happy, but not enough to cause consistent trouble- I would have to buy snow tires then! I am semi hoping my nose keeps running- then I can call off work today- can't blow my nose constantly and treat kids, but I am guessing it will settle down soon. I still have to go in to have my arm rechecked due to straining it last week. It has been fine since then as long as I wear my brace, guessing I can slowly wean from it.

Oh I feel like such a slug-a-bug. I slept until 4 a.m this morning. Oh, to be able to sleep like a teenager again. Sleep is surely wasted on youth!

hahahah!!! Its not even 6 am and y'all are having a party without me.

:D

I didn't get as much done as I had hoped to yesterday. I really wanted to clean out my inbox. Its just as cluttered as everything else in my house. But I did get most of the kitchen done and lots of laundry done too. Today is going to be more of the same, but I also want to try and steam clean the dining room. I have used so much carpet cleaner on the pee spots (darn cats!) that the fibers are stiff and sticky. I am going to try to steam clean when with just vinegar and water. Hopefully that will help?

I am so sorry to hear that so many of you are having crappy sleep issues, and worse than normal.

Nana- have fun woth your mom today. Shopping with Mom is way better than cleaning!

And ITA with Phyllis- please check in with your dr about your head!! Don't take any chances.

Phyllis- woot on the decent sleep for you in the recliner! We didn;t get too much snow/ice- just enough to make it slippery and schools had an early dismissal. Tomorrow-- Thunderstorms and 55*! Crazy crazy!
FWIW- my printer does the same to me. If I shut it off and then turn it back on, it resets itself and then prints. Then it will print normally for a short period of time, then stop working again. Its enough to make me nuts.

Lauire- TY again for the card! Its right next to my monitor so I can see it all of the time. Feel better, glad your dr gave you the meds.

Tip on Tuesday:
Today I am actually going to ask for a tip. I have been battling hemorrhoids for a month now (sooo embarrassing!) . DO anyof you have any home remedies that really work? I feel like I have tried everything and they are just not going away. :(

TTYS!
Hugs and love!

Chris- re: need for tip, I find if I eat lots of fiber it helps mine and drink lots of water. That is all I do and they usually stay non problematic for me.

Oh forgot to mention a somewhat less than vigorous workout done and now to get ready for the work day- sadly my nose stopped running.....

Thx Laurie. I am sure that is adding to the issue- I eat way worse in the winter (no fresh veggies) and drink tons less water (too cold!) so I live on carbs and coffee. I have eben trying to take dulcolax as I need it but even that isn't helping.

quickies from yesterday!

Linda S- how cute is Syd! And excellent point made by your niece. I am sure Syd looks up to her and you can't get much better advice than that.

Trudy- I hope that your MIL does end up taking some courses. That would be really good for her. My MIL has been going to the Senior Center every week for the last 18 months for watercolor classes and she LOVES it! My mom- yeah, she says she doesn't like to be in groups of people so she goes shopping instead. I wish she would be more active.

Terry- the weekends go way too fast! Ouch onthe car costs!! My DD is going to be just like your son. When she worked with me over the summer, she would blow her money on gum and candy and then would look to me when she needed money for something important. My son, he is good. He borrowed some money out of his savings acct when he went Christmas shopping. Then he got money as a gift and he is paying the account back. Not bad! I wish that would rub off on her. LOL

Nancy- sorry to hear about the Devils loss, but WTG Patrick!

Phyllis- so happy that you had a great visit with the grandmen. That has to make your heart smile! Sorry to hear about your eyes. I wish there was something you could do for that. It must be such a PITA!

Nana- I am making beans and meatlaof tonight for dinner. My mom sent up the meatloaf and I am trying northen beans. They are soaking right now-- how do you cook them? Never made beans like this before.
Your dad is going to be 80? Wow, he seems so incredibly active- your mom too. That is nice!!!

Hugs to all who pop in today! Have a great one!

good am I enjoy watching Rachael Ray cook because she really likes to cook and I dont. I really like her 30 min meals. Yesterday I tried her Chipolte stroganoff and it was so yummy. Both husband and son went back for seconds. Makes the cooking worth while.
And I am loving her oblong pot that I got for Christmas - makes cooking the pasta or noodles so easy. Problem is when they eat seconds then I dont have left overs and that means I have to cook again. LOL It has been a good week for birds. The sharpie was in the backyard looking for birds. Our cat saw the hawk and did not like it at all. Opps a delay in finishing this - my hubby for got his keys in his coat pocket and sense the weather is so warm he left without his coat he had to come back and then I drove him to the train station!

Phylis so fun to hear you had such a good time with your Grandmen. Glad the drive was not bad too either

Chris I have no tips for you but feel better

Hope the rest get some more sleep tonight

Have a great day!

Well ya'll are up early today! I had a hard time pulling myself out of bed this morning. Stayed up way too late.

Guess what? Supposed to be 90 here today! The bad thing--a cold front will come through and the temps are dropping by 30 degrees. I really don't like such big swings in the temperature. Seems like everyone gets sick then.

Phyllis--hope you can enjoy that mattress soon. At least you got 7 hours sleep! getting better. Glad you had a good time with the little grand men. I'm looking forward to seeing our little grand daughter in March---hope she recognizes us!

Nancy--sorry to hear about the Devils loss.

Chris--eat fiber. drink water. Lots of fiber and lots of water.

Nana-I need to clean out my closet too. Need to find some motivation for it. It's one of those things---don't see it, don't do it. I only think of cleaning it when I walk in it. Otherwise--I don't think about it.

Laurie--hope you start feeling better soon!

Well I'm off to the dentist this morning---getting crown work done. One of my very first crowns has to be replaced. Yuck!

I had planned on playing golf late this afternoon, like at 3:30, with my golfing buddy. Then last night while at a basketball game I made dinner plans with some friends that are in town for the week. Then I remembered I was supposed to play golf. Uh oh. guess I need to call the golfing buddy and go earlier than 3:30 so I can make the dinner. Doesn't sound like I'm going to work much today. That's ok----I deserve a break today!! Now--to tell that to my brain----I feel so guilty.

Have a good one!

Morning all you early birds!! Sorry that you are all having sleep issues!! I wake up a couple of times during the night every night, but have not had trouble getting back to sleep for change.

Nana Linda - The first thing I thought of when you said headache was that bump you got on your head!!! You better get it checked out or Phylis and I will come there and drag you to the doctor!! :boxing: don't be messing around with your health now :nono: That being said, I hope that your trip to the mall with your Mom goes well, after your trip to the doctor!! :becky:

Laurie - Sorry you have another sinus infection!! But nice that you could just get the prescription phoned in for you! It saves so much time for you and the dr.!! Hope the meds kick in and you feel better soon! I saw the card you made for Chris, it is just beautiful!! Did you use your new machine that you got for Christmas to do that?

Phylis - So happy that you got to see your Grandmen!! they recognized you too, that's even better :becky: I got to see mine of facetime last night, but poor Isaac is kinda out of sorts because he is missing his Daddy very much!! Sadie only wants to talk to her Grandpa, so my hubby got most of the time with the conversation. But anytime is good time with them!! I sure hope you get to sleep in your beautiful new bed again soon!! What has the dr said about your pain??

Chris - Ouch on the backside problems!! I suffer from them also once in a while and drinking lots of water and having lots of fibre is the best thing for them! And noooo coffee does not count as fibre!! :becky: Have you tried the creams? They are messy I know but they give you some relief at least! Let us know how your beans turn out, My mom used to make them all the time, but I have never tried them, too lazy!! Easier to open a can!! LOL.

Well off to work for a short day and then home to play at the "O" and get some treadmill time in! I can't wait for spring and warmer weather so I can go for long walks outside and get some hiking in again!! Have a lovely one everyone!
