Yippee! I slept pretty well again last night. I even had to get up around 1 am to take W out and was able to get back to sleep easily. Woke up around 4 and was able to fall back asleep again. Thank goodness. I was a mess, wasn't I?
Honestly, I still am a mess but at least I am not bleary while being messy.

I am so excited, I ordered two gifts yesterday, One for Gary and one for my parents. The one for my parents is from Walgreen's photo Dept. They have a sale 60% off wall decor. I ordered TilePix, 3 8x8 framed photo prints. I used three LOs I already scrapped-one of Cait and Tom, one of Scott and Leah, and one of me and Gary. I had to tweak them a tiny bit so they would be more uniform with the colors and they are all ready for pickup.
It's a start.

We also discussed Christmas trees at dinner, we did it while Cait wasn't home and I was the one who brought it up. Gary has wanted to get a fake tree for a very long time but I LOVE having a real tree. Last year was not a fun experience trying to get a real one due to shortages, the cost, and trying to work around Caitlyn's school schedule. I think we might get a fake tree this year. Scott offered to do all of the research on it. It kind of makes sense... I doubt the kids are going to be here for many more Christmases and Gary and I would never go pick a tree together. We have always done it as a big family tradition but they are going to be doing their own traditions soon. *small sob*
(nah-- it is all good, I am happy for them. I can be sad for me, but the happiness is much stronger)

Let's see, what I am going to do today?
1. Resist researching Christmas trees. Must. Learn. To Delegate. And Stick to it. :D
2. I am thinking I will make up some of the hand creams today, That is easy enough to do, and then I can also get the EO's mixed up for the muscle ache rub. I also ordered arnica flowers so they will need to be infused with the base oil before it gets mixed together.
All of that means I have to scrub down the kitchen before I get started. And-- Gary is cooking dinner tonight so I need to do that early so I won't be in his way.

Sounds like a decent plan to me. :D

Have fun!!

@BrightEyes I am so sorry to hear about your friend's passing :(
Did you end up going to the credit union? How did your knee hold up? Hope that you didn't push but I also understand wanting to get out before it gets too cold and windy. The mail delivery is really awful and it is only getting worse.:(
Do you do any online banking? I do 99% of my bill paying that way. My mom doesn't feel comfortable with it so I know it isn't for everyone.

@Cherylndesigns hugs to you too, it has to be emotional when someone you love does even if it is expected. Hopefully, your memories will only bring you joy and not sadness.
One good thing is that I don't have a problem falling asleep, it is the *staying* asleep that is my problem. My brain seems to be under the stupid assumption (you know what they say about assuming LOL!) that it can sleep for a few hours and then it is sufficiently recharged to continue on with its anxiety full speed ahead.
Oof. That was a gut punch about Ava and Drs. Both of my kids were cutters and the shame they felt and how people treated them was heartbreaking. For people to ask her that must have been really hard on her.
What a fab photo!!! It is perfect for her shop!

@bcgal00 My goodness, the photo of the dogs in your backyard was both adorable and awful. It wouldn't be so bad if you actually had a pond in your yard, you now-- like a design feature. yikes. Remi must be having a blast, she looks like the muddier, the happier she is.

@taxed4ever hhhooooooooooo boy! How much water is that??? Did a lot get into the building?
Hope you had a good dentist appt

Kay-- whew. I was worried about your knee so I am relieved that you ended up staying in.

@tanteva are you finally feeling better from your cold? Hope that you are catching up on everything.

@scrapinmom Wow!!! Congrats on getting such an amazing trip! I have been to Sandals a few times (our honeymoon was in Antigua) and they are wonderful resorts. What a way to come back to real life with a toddler. LOL
Hope your back is doing better

@vickyday I hope you like the books. However, I know that you mentioned you don't like books with swearing and these might be too much with some of the subject matter. Honestly, a lot of the subject matter. Just a head's up. :)

Up and dressed early this morning... the Pest control guy will be soon. So glad that I decided to stay home and off my feet yesterday even though the weather was nice and on the warm side - 71*. I was able to pull on sweatpants over the brace so hope to stay warm. It is much colder this morning and the wind is blowing, so think I will take another day resting the knee.

I did pull the turkey out of the freezer, put it in a double paper bag and slipped it into the fridge to let it thaw. The double paper bag will absorb any leakage from the bird. Think it will be ready to cook by Sunday. As my birthday is Monday, I decided to fix the holiday meal early to celebrate it. So will be making the cornbread (for the dressing) and pumpkin pie on Saturday. Then tearing up the bread/cornbread, chopping veggies and mixing all the dry ingredients and spices for the dressing together so it can marry them overnight. There is nothing better than lifting the lid on bowl they are in and sniffing to see if I need to add more sage! Heaven!! Holiday cooking is always a 2 day affair for me. And with my bum knee, I am glad to spread it out so I am not on my feet all day.

I did manage to get a challenge LO done and posted yesterday so that made me happy. Not as far behind on getting those done as I thought. Whew. I do need to download some photos from my camera. Took a few of the change in color on the neighborhood trees. Guess I should use them in fall LOs before winter arrives. :D

Pest Control guy is here and DD#1 is calling. CYL

Good morning ladies. Enjoyed the night with the power on :) 3 power outages in 4 days was too much...ugh. I got lots of reading done though. Today it was almost freezing which is probably good so that the yard wasn't even more muddier with the water dissipating. I need to go get some groceries this afternoon. Looks like the panic has hit again here and store shelves are emptying out quickly. Many stores are out of the staples especially bread. I'll see if I can what I need for the next week or so. There's a lot of road damage, still lots of road closures and delivery trucks can't get through. What a mess.

I'm getting to work quickly this morning so I can get out at lunchtime to take dogs to the park and hopefully grab the groceries I need.

I'll be back later to read personals.

Good afternoon all.

Chris @faerywings I'm so sorry I gave you a gut punch. Then you totally understand why Ava got so upset every time she was asked that. Her brother was/probably still is a cutter, so she's ultra sensitive about it because of him. He never wears short sleeves and he's going on 23 - he's probably still cutting. It's such a horrible thing to deal with. I'm so sorry you've had to try to cope with it, your kids, too. Gosh, we have so much in common, it seems like.

Most of my memories were wonderful - I remember, when I was a kid, wishing Aunt Martha was my mom or at least wishing my mom was more like her. She was so sensitive to how us kids felt and so gentle in spirit with us. She always had that same smile on her face (the smile she had on her face in the first picture I posted on FB).

Kay @BrightEyes I think I missed your post, but I'm SO sorry for your loss. Hope you're feeling better and that your knee is getting better.

I'm really tired today! It's kind of a big let down, I think. Oh, Ava took pictures of us yesterday afternoon. Me, Chuck and Daisy. They're actually pretty good. A little light for my taste, so I'm darkening them up a bit. Ava likes a "light and airy filter" and I like a more saturated filter. LOL Some of her clients prefer the darker and saturated look, so I edit those for her. All of her shop pictures and Little Vintage Elephant have that same filter used on them - that's just her preference. I edited a whole wedding shoot she did because the bride wanted them darker. She sends me a shoot as soon as she gets home so I see all of the pictures she takes of people. But, I like our pictures, in general.

Going to try to accomplish something here - I need to finish a pre-release if I don't get anything else done. Hint: I'm using a few of our new pics on it.

Waving to all.

Is this week over yet? lol! First time I've had a chance to check in - I've enjoyed reading what everyone is up to! I've had a stressful week at work and more stress at home - hubby is really not feeling well, he's lost nearly 30 lbs in 5 weeks and trying to get in to see the dr and get in for bloodwork testing or anything is super frustrating. He's tired because he's not retaining anything, and the dr thinks he knows what it is but can't confirm it without the bloodwork test, which he can't get into for 3 weeks. 3 weeks is just not acceptable!!! So been trying to navigate how we can get the test done and the quickest ... and also trying not to worry about it being something malicious causing everything. So ... all this to say if I'm quiet just have a lot going on in my head!

Hello girls!
I didn't wanted to be heartless and disrespectful to Cheryl grief, once again sincere condolence, my dear! It's looking so rude to celebrate when she is in pain, so I backed away silently. First from respect to her, second because it's not good to speak for something before it's happened, to not tempt the devil to spoil it! Will told you only that I had big dose skepticism about these visualization and law of attraction. But now there is huge opportunity that one of mine wildest dreams will get real next summer. It's not goal or plan, it's a dream and everything about it is outside of me, you can get it by work, it comes from the fate and I created it only with my thoughts. Eventually! Eventually, because it's still too early to celebrate. But it's possible which makes me so happy! I'm never bean happier in my life! This definitely is the best year at my life (even with the loss of 2 my very favorite cats in it, I'm had way more awful time in past few years).

Ok, now let's get back on present things!
Chris, thank you for asking, I would love to share these face cloth which I'll make, but they are more like project for for December. As now I'm concentrate on crocheting one gentleman who grow mustaches and beard for Movember. For these of you that aren't on IG here is a pic. Screenshot_20211116-114057.png
Chris, Trudy and Nancy (wow Nancy is not posted even longer than me, @nancyr are you fine my dear?), probably are sick of hearing this story ;):D , but for the other girls I have to give explanations. Movember is cause dear to my heart, as my grandfather was suffering for depression, melancholy, unprovoked Mood swings and irritability. He has also alcohol addiction and was few times in recovery program forcedly, but never finished all the steps. He has childhood like in Grimm's Fairy Tales, with evil step mother, and was from these tough guys that never speak about feelings with no one. So the men mental health topic is really something very important for me and my family. Last year my most favorite singer was ambassador for Movember, so I learned from him about them and their wonderful work! And I really wanted to join with something creative. My country is not allowed to have personal fundraising campaign, but I'm reaching out to the prime link for donation.
Unfortunately it's not went like I expected, as the only persons that showed some interest to my idea are Trudy, Cheril (thank you so much girls), one other friend of mine from the scrapbook community and one men which often comment my posts. I'm kind of disappointed and wondering did I put enough effort, but the month was so strange, sad news from everywhere, so I couldn't find motivation to make daily funny stories, it's wasn't looks appropriate at all.
So that's for me, let's go on personal notes:

Chris, congrats for finding some gifts. I'm waiting Black Friday to finalize my Christmas shopping. I don't think I told you but from this autumn we have small coniferous tree at my garden will show pics when decorate it next month! And fake inside from many years, as I can't risk some per to step on fall needle. I just don't clean fast enough. :p

Kae, your festive food plans sounds pretty good!

Rae, hope that your shopping will be successful and the more important that things will only gonna improve from now!

Cheryl, again hugs and sympathy! How nice to helps Ava with her photos, work in team. Sounds as she have her own signature as every artist.

Oh, Trina, I hope that they will figure out what is suffering for your husband and will help without to cost your whole fortune! This sounds so scary, how is possible doctors to act so slow?!
