I miss my coffee. So darn much. My head is fuzzy and I am tired and I really want to lick some coffee grinds. Other than that, I am physically ready to go. We are leaving here a little after 10. Check in at 11, surgery is at 1. I should be back home around dinner time.
Yesterday was just another easy rolling day in the Faery House. Yes, that was 100% snark. Part of pre-surgery prep was that I had to put clean sheets on the bed/clean towels/clean pajamas etc. I stripped the bed and threw that in the washing machine, got the second load ready to go as soon as they were done. I get home from shopping, put away the groceries. I go upstairs, put the laundry on the Drain and Spin cycle and the machine starting to make very loud and scary noises. Opened the drum and there was shredded plastic all over the inside of it. What a mess. Gary takes a look at it, researches some stuff and thinks it is some bearings inside the drum that have broken. $700 to get the parts. He tried a small load to see if is happens again, thinking that maybe the sheets and blanket when off balance and water started to leak all over.
Just great!
So we don't have a washing machine, no money to fix or buy a new one. The nearest laundromat is over 20 minutes away.
I sent my parents home with a load of towels and she will bring them up later this week or maybe we can meet her at my Drs offce when we are down there on Monday. SMDH. Thank goodness that they can do that for us.
Then as I was going to bed, my MIL texted Gary and me that her brother passed away suddenly. She isn't close to her brother, they haven't spoken in years but I know it is still sad for her. I told Gary that as soon as they take me away, he should go over to her house and see her but he doesn't want to leave me. Heck, I will be fine... I feel bad for my MIL.
Guess it shows that no amount or planning organizing can cover all the bases.
Have a wonderful day, my friends! ::grouphug
