Just. Wow.
It's here and man, I feel pretty "weird" about it all. Scott graduates HS and while I have been talking about it for a long time, it's finally here. It hits me at odd moments. Yesterday, Cait and I were at the Dollar Store and a song came on the radio that he apparently sang at his 6th grade grad. I have no recollection, but Cait told me this as I was looking at some graduation banners that I wanted to hang in the window for today. I also looked at some cards and had a hard time then too. But then as I was trying to coordinate plans with my family, its only just one more confusing PITA thing I am dealing with. LOL

I did say to Cait for the millionth time how I am so happy that he isn't going away to college, that I am not ready to let him go yet. I guess if he was going away, I would have no choice but to be ready but I am relieved that I have one less thing to be emotional about!!

I am going to keep myself busy today. I am steam cleaning (haven't done that in a while hehe!) and I still have a few pages I need to finish for the July Challenges.

Who has some fun stuff going on?

I wish I could just stop time, for a little bit. It is going way to fast for me.

Nancy- Ugh about your DS's windshield. I hope that it gets taken care off without too much of a hassle.
How funny about the animal! What do you think it was? Yesterday we saw a little fox come bounding through the woods across my backyard. The day before, it was a mama deer and fawn trotting down the street. And a friend posted on FB a photo of a timber rattler hiding out under a tree in her yard. Cait was back on the trail in the woods and swore she heard a rattle, so maybe she did. Eep.
That is awesome that you are almost done with your travel book. If you need another page, what I do is add one in the back for Additional Notes. I use a lined/notebook background, blended with a page that suits the theme of the book. Then you can handwrite in any dates, people of info that you want that didn't make it into any journaling.

Trudy!!!!!! We have missed you in here, but I know we are happy that you are getting to spend time with Heather and Mason! Love that you have lots of pics to scrap and hope that you get a bit of time before they leave to scrap them.
Do not stress about being "absent" - we know where to find you!

Jane- wow!!! Give Les a big O-Hug from all of us!! That is just amazing how he did all of that biking. :cheer2:
Sounds like you have a wonderful get-away planned. :)
Hope that the apple cider vinegar works for you. I know that they like wine as well, but ACV is cheaper and not as fun for me to drink hahahah!!!

Sara!! I love t when other people rant, so I know it not just me that does it hahahah!!!!
Oh man, the less that you have to deal with you cuckoo SIL the better for everyone. And her bratty kids too. who needs that crap?
Was the amusement park fun?
Hope that you guys ended baseball on a good note. Enjoy the month off of no activities too.

Phyllis- so sorry to hear that your weather has been so bad. But yes, anything is better than the HORRIBLE winter we had. We have had pretty much gorgeous weather here for weeks. Today- graduation day- rain. So the ceremony will be in the gym instead of on the field. Oh well, what can you do?

Empty Brain Syndrome. Yup, I get that. Although I also get Too Many Things in my Brain that I Can't Catch Anything. Not sure which one I prefer!

Did you get the last Mortal Instruments book yet? I am almost halfway through.

Hugs to everyone!! I'd better get going. The boy I babysit will be her for b-fast soon.

Chris. think Sting: " if you love somebody, set them free." ok. now i'm going to be singing that song all day. try not to be too sad about your DS graduating. if you believe he's starting an exciting and fun portion of his life, so will he. he's such a good kiddo. he'll do fine, and so will you, as you are such a good kiddo, too!

yep, i bought and read the last Mortal Instruments book. not the best of the bunch, but fun to be "in it." i just read the last two "Outlander" books in the last week. i swear, i love all the people in that series. Gabaldon can WRITE!! and she can keep more story lines in the air than anyone i've ever read.

more soggy weather, with a touch of flooding and trees down and roads closed. i had the AC on last night, so i didn't hear any of it. it was mostly west of us. today, i'm finally tackling the odious job of cleaning my refrigerator. and probably i will be running around the house all day opening and closing windows as the storms roll through. Chris, will your carpets actually DRY in this weather? or is all of this still missing you?

Trudy, i miss you. Nancy, who are you cheering for to win the World Cup? Jane, your hubby is amazing. Sara, that family member of yours who is acting like an asshat needs to be housecleaned right out of your life. she sounds profoundly forgetable.

hope the sun shines on all of you today. and i hopes it shines on me soon, before mildew starts growing on me.... :becky: :faint2:

Chris - Yay for graduation, but not yay for the wave of emotions you have to be feeling!! Hang in there and enjoy it a bit too.

Phylis - Your description of my SIL makes me laugh. I think we are done with her until we have to see her at a wedding at the end of July. Then probably at the end of August, but I don't know that will be be fore sure. *whew* I have GOT to pick up Mortal Instruments and Outlander. I need to get done with some of these darn award potentials!

Baseball was fine last night. They were up 5-2 at the top of the last inning, but the other team came back and tied it up. They had a lot of fun though. Ben put someone in a pickle and ended up getting him out.

My MIL was there, but she paid far more attention to the bad kid than she did to Ben. At the end of the game, the team gathered for a picture and and then I took a quick two pictures of Ben at home plate. By the time we got back to the dugout, she was walking away with Cam. Didn't even say a word to Ben. As we were all headed the same direction, Ben eventually ran up to her and Cam and I think she realized it. She tried to offer him some money at the snack shack, which being the adult I am, I found insulting. Ben wasn't very friendly to her as she tried to hug him and said no thank you to the money. I was proud of him. :) I think it was just hot, sweaty, and tried. I don't know that he realized the slight, but my husband and I sure did. We are going to sign up for a different league next year away from my SIL and MIL.

I have to work today, make a final presentation in class, and get ready for leaving for Vegas for a conference on Friday.

I better go get ready! See you later!

good morning! Today is the first time it really seems like summer - the humidity is up as is the temp. Should be rain storms today too! Had a fun night out with the ladies for coffee. One of our friends is heading off to hike along the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire. A group of 4 ladies. I think that is pretty cool! I did all my outdoor stuff when I was young and now I like my comforts LOL. I have gotten soft.

Chris congrats on Scott's big day! Such an accomplishment. It is hard but it is so exciting to see them start the next phase of their life. Enjoy!

Phylis hope your weather clears up! Sounds like a lot of fun reading! I am cheering for the USA but after that I don't know. I do like Germany as long as they do not defeat us but that just maybe because some of their players are pretty exciting!

Trudy so good to see you back. I know you are having such fun with Heather and Mason!

Sara family members can't be chosen so as Phylis suggest you just let them go. Sounds like the trip to the park was lots of fun!

Jane congrats to your husband!

Have a great day all!

Hi ladies, can't type too much today, I sliced my finger pretty good last night with a very, very sharp knife. Should have probably gotten a stitch or two. Sorry no personals today and I feel badly that I am not in here commenting more! Took Mason for a nice walk in his stroller, now he is sleeping and I have to hit the shower, this old woman is sweating up a storm from that walk!! Sending special hugs to you Chris and your fine young man Scott!! He will do amazing and so will you! Hi to everyone else and hope that my finger doesn't hurt so much tomorrow!
