Daily Ooos: Wednesday, June 21

It's a beautiful day out there, sunny and clear blue sky. I hope my parents are able to enjoy the day because it is their 59th wedding anniversary (and they never had a fight. ). Crazy, right? I better make sure that I call them early before they have a chance to bicker at each other and my good wishes fall on deaf and irritated ears. LOL

In spite of the instability in my house yesterday, I was able to get quite a lot done. I packed two more boxes for the donation pickup. That was the big project, just trying to walk in the attic is hard enough as it is with everyone's junk shoved around. I finally swapped out a box or two of winter/summer clothes. I am trying very hard to donate or throw out clothes that are either falling apart or I'll never fit into again. Cait and I placed an order at Shein which is my guilty confession. They are an awful company but the clothes are cute and cheap. I got 4 T-shirts, pj shorts, leggings, work shorts, and my little baby dragon (Theo ) for $60.

I didn't have any luck with the dress though. I looked online and it was out of stock in my size. The only color in my size for that dress was taupe and *blech* - that would look terrible on me. Caitlyn and Tom were coincidentally right by the store for dinner last night and she went in to see if they had it anywhere else nearby. The closest stores that had was in CT and Albany, NY. It's fine, I am sure that I'll be able to find something similar. *fingers crossed*

Gary is feeling a little better today, the glands on the back of his neck have gone down a little and his stomach isn't as bad. Did I tell you he is doing a liquid diet, his diverticulosis was very bad this past week so he is trying to calm that down. Such a mess, poor guy...

I am picking up groceries and then doing yard work. Something is eating my milkweed, some of the leaves are chewed almost entirely off. My coneflowers are soooo close to blooming, then I'll have lots of butterflies and bees. Yay!

Congrats to Urban!!!!!!! That sounds incredible and so very impressive. You lucked out for sure, he's smart and handsome. Just teasing, you make a great team together. ♥
Where will you be going along on the research trips? I am so happy for you both.

@vickyday How did it go at the dentist's? I hope everything is all fixed up and not painful. Poor Asher, my dogs don't like going out in the rain either-- how is his stomach doing, no more accidents?
That's a pain in the butt about the extra fees. $90 for cleaning? That's bonkers. Is it an Airbnb or a hotel?

@taxed4ever Ugghhhhhhhhh! What a chaotic day, you couldn't win if you tried. And you tried! Please tell me that yesterday was a better one and that your blinds are fixed. Have fun on the hike today, that should work out any of the mental bugs you have lingering.

@bcgal00 You are on a roll, you are getting that room all ready and set up, I bet it looks great! Can you show us a picture?
How is D feeling? Does he still need to go to the wound care center or is he back to normal, or whatever his normal is?

@Cherylndesigns I know that the Finger Pointing posts have to be a ton of work, but have gotten a few of them, I will tell you how fantastic it makes me feel, it's like I am on You and the GSO Team are the best!

Popping in quickly to say hello and then I am off to my hike, its to a stone circle today. I will try to get photos although I am not expecting anything to exciting. We are doing this hike because it is Summer Solstice today. I am running late so I really have to get moving. Good morning ladies. I have to get outside with Remi, then hop in the shower and get ready to head out for morning coffee with the ladies. I'll bring Remi and then go to the dog park down the road from the restaurant. It's cool enough to leave her in the car. It's nice to be able to do this b/c soon it will be too hot again, as the temps are going to rise again in a few days.

I ordered a new scrabble game and will check thrift shops for a used game b/c I need the tiles for my other game (I had used them for wedding props for my biz before), otherwise I will order those online too. That way we can get two games going at the same time on game nights.

@faerywings Yes, I will post pics of the room when it is completely done. It's nothing special, it is an eclectic mix of furniture and art work, full of chairs that are easy to move around and rearrange as needed. I hope it will feel warm and inviting, which is important b/c there are no windows so I don't want people to feel closed in. I think the art work helps to provide a relaxed atmosphere.

I'm going to go hop in the shower and get on with the day. Funny thing is, I am not going out for photo walks much these days, I am too busy with other things but I don't miss it. I think it just makes me enjoy the less frequent times I do go out with the camera.

@faerywings That sucks that the dress wasn't available but I feel like it wasn't meant to be and you will find the perfect dress (maybe even cheaper, wouldn't that be nice?). Glad that G is feeling a bit better.

Good afternoon!
Left early with my daughter to go to the bin store again. We did better because the clothes were $1 each, too. I got 2 sweaters. Then we went to lunch and then came back here and played a game of qwirkle and Rummikub before she went home. Her oldest daughter, who just graduated was with us.

No other plans outside of church tonight. Hotdogs and fries are on the supper menu.

Hello my lovelies.

I'm running late today - slept in a little later than usual the had a few CT things (for other CT's) that I needed to post this morning. Got them done by last night but was too tired to post them. They're all posted around all the social medias except Instagram. Then I'm done. I always laugh that I can create tons of layouts much faster than I can post them all over social media. That's the time-consuming part. Creating them is the easy part.



Thanks so much for your kind words about the GSO blog team. We work pretty hard, but it's so rewarding to see scrappers get so excited when one of their layouts is chosen. It's a very time-consuming thing, too. I actually start the evening before, by looking through all of the galleries. I also keep my eyes open when I know my day is coming up.

I'd love it if you and Scott can come up with something that I can use indoors to heat a mug on if we lose power.

I'm going to scoot because Adrienne wants me to find a picture for her and it's in one of my boxes. HugS to everyone and @tanteve Eve, you sure did pick a winner in Urban!
