It's Wednesday at Oscraps and now with even more smilies *said in announcer voice*

Well. It's going to be an interesting few days ahead. Last night, after a delicious dinner they cooked for all of us, Scott and Sam both tested positive. They had colds that were lasting for a long time-- both had tested negative last week- and thought they should restest just in case. Gary and Cait are negative and I am going to test tonight or tomorrow since I not going anywhere other than ShopRite to pick up groceries today. I am supposed to be cleaning for my friend tomorrow so I want to test as close to that as possible. He usually comes up here while I clean but that is also up in the air. Sam (and Pup!) has been here for the last few days since she has to drive up the mountain to get home and the weather has been bad. They are going to see if they can stay at her Grandma's house since she is back in the hospital. I feel so bad for them. :(
I have been loving having Puppa here, he is a pit mix and is a sweetheart. Because he lost so much weight from cancer, Sam has him wear the cutest little sweaters- yesterday he had on a red/black buffalo plaid with a hood and pockets ♥
I have to postpone the Murder Mystery Party and reschedule shopping with my mom on Friday. Even if I test negative, I am not taking any chances with her or my dad's health.

I can't wait to get started on Karen's Story project. I scanned a bunch of pictures yesterday and got 100% lost down the rabbit hole. We used to go on vacation to Rangeley Lakes, Maine every summer. I found an advertisement for it in a newsletter from the 1970s. I was texting my brother and shared the Google Doc with him to see if he could help fill in some of the banks on dates. He called last night to find out how I tracked the newsletter down- I have to remember to email it to him.
So much fun!!

Today it's supposed to snow/sleet most of the day. I am glad that no one has to go anywhere, Cait is working remotely and Scott is going to have to take sick days.

More #coffee-2 or :hosed: all around! Maybe both might be nice LOL!

@Cherylndesigns I hope that you are still fast asleep as I type this. I hope that I didn't jinx you when I made the joke saying Good morning/midnight to you the other day ;)
#crazy-2 <~ spot on!

@vickyday Asher sounds like he is quite the character, my dogs go all bonkers when they see suitcases
How was lunch with the girls?
I bet your ring is going to be stunning when you get it back, and how nice that it is covered under warranty!

@BrightEyes Best of both worlds: Snow on the mountains but not by you
That's amazing that you got your mom's 2 books done but then *surprise* More pics!

@LSlycord LOL As I am reading yesterday's thread, part of my brain is yelling "It's all out of order!!!" Seems like you felt the same way.
Thank goodness for techy kids. WTG Shaun for fixing Syd's phone. I hope that more birds keep coming to visit. How did the interview go? *fingers crossed it went great!*

@taxed4ever Heh, yesterday was the first day it was sunny in over a week and today we are back to the gloom. I hope that you get good weather for your hike today. Thank you for asking about the rolling pin smilie in Jenn's thread, I love that one.
Are custom earplugs expensive? You should get them even if they are, you love swimming. Just wait until Feb 1st when all of the Jan people are gone :rotfl:

@bcgal00 The grassland photos were just incredible- my favorite of the dogs in the trunk of the car. I just love Taz's expressions
I am, sorry that you have to be alert all of the time. It really stinks and men don't get it. When I switched cars with Caitlyn at work last week, she gave me her whole keychain with her pepper spray and cat ears. Wanted to take only the key so she would have all of her defense. And this was simply walking from work to the car at 4.30 pm on campus with security. Gary didn't understand why I wanted that. But better to be safe than sorry. It stinks.
I explained the situation to the vet's receptionist and apologized for messing up the vax schedule. I am sure I am not the only one and I hate that I left it to the last minute. She said that as long as I upload the app and certificate online before the deadline I am good to go, and I have an appt on Monday. Thank goodness for online applications

@Cherylndesigns No doubt you felt like an alien (love the monkey butt!). Glad that you were able get some more rest even if you didn't sleep
How was last night's sleep?

Good morning. It's warm here but it is windy...feels like springtime back home. It is 65° on the way to 83°. But highs tomorrow back in the upper 60's. Brian is getting ready to take Andie to the groomer this morning. Then he will come back home and get me and we will head to Gainesville to take Sydney's phone to her. She wants us to pick up McDonalds before we meet her. Shaun has class so Hayden will be alone for a couple of hours and that will be a first. Not sure how that will go...she is definitely our nervous Nellie. Thought about taking her but 3 hours in the car with her would also be a first time experience. Poor little pandemic doggie.

The interview went well yesterday. I really like the people that I would be working with. I was the first panel interview and they want to make the decision in the next two weeks. Who knows how it will turn out. That means that it will be a month before I'd get started. This hiring process is just a total pain in the fanny anymore.

I talked with my niece yesterday that has the two boys. She loves what I am doing with the old family photos. She sent me some pics of the boys and I finally got up the nerve to ask her if she cared if I scrapped a few pages. She said of course she didn't care. So I will now have some additional material...instead of pics from 15 years ago of my two!

Well, I need to go get cleaned up...would like to have a pajama day. This stupid cold is a real annoyance. But I do love seeing Miss Syd's face, even if only for a short time.

I'll try to get back for personals before we leave. If not, I'll be back later today. Have a good day all.

Wow... had a great night's sleep, Can't remember waking up at all. Hope that continues. Well, I will be busy today cleaning up the garage. That chore went from 'I will get to it next week' to 'Have to get it done ASAP'... The reason is I got a call yesterday from the salesman at the dealership. He said 'you car has arrived' and my response was 'here in the states?' as the earliest date it was suppose to get here in town was Feb 12th. He laughed and said 'No... it is here at the dealership!' He will be calling today to set up the appointment for me to come in to get it on Friday or Saturday. When I told him I would need to get someone to bring me over for it, he asked where I lived then volunteered to drive "My Car" over to pick me up!!! Wow... great service! So, today is get the garage cleared so I can park both the SUV and my new Sonata in it. Tomorrow is get the check to pay for it and then Friday pick up the car and get the insurance coverage on it. So if I am not around here much the rest of the week.. you will understand.

. . . . . . . . . #cheer-3#cheer1 My new Sonata has arrived!! #cheer1#cheer-3

I have been bouncing around the house since I got the call. Then the mind went into over-drive about what I need to get done. Of course, I had to call some of the family to share the good news. They were as excited as I was. I plan on taking my camera with me to have the salesman take some photos of me and the new car. The weather forecast looks like it will be clear and on the cool side (in the 40's)... no rain or snow.

WOW! 83° is too warm for winter, LOL! For me, anytime.....especially if it is humid!
Things will turn out as they should from the interview, but I cannot imagine having to go through all that again! So glad I won't, Lord willing!
How cool that your niece has more fodder for your scrapping pleasures!
I wish I were having a pj day today, too! It will have to wait!

Good Morning All!
Quick in and out today. I'm headed to get Ilene as she is going to go with me to pick up my ring, go to Olive Garden for lunch and then to COSTCO. I won't be spending the whole day with her, however. It is raining and I have a nice sinus headache to go with it, drats! So, I will probably be spending half of my day later in jammies!

It's currently in the 40's and NO sunshine at all! I think the rain is in for the long haul today!

Hope everyone has a great day!

It is not too bad weather wise and it looks like there is actually some blue sky out there so Hooray!! I just wanted to pop in and say Hello and hope that all of you have a wonderful day! BTW @BrightEyes CONGRATS ON THE NEW CAR!!!! I am so happy for you! :heartpumpred:

Well, it looks like I have time for personals after all. Because...where is the appropriate emoji...I just tested positive for Covid!#angry2I am so angry! I don't feel that bad but we had one test left and I had the presence of mind to think, I should just take it to be sure. It was positive...no other possible outcome. So I'm sitting here while Brian makes one more trip to G'ville on his own to hand off the phone to Syd. Anyway, I'm sick and tired of the way this world is.

Probably be a good day to sit and scrap a page or two of the cutest little guys...I sure do wish that I lived closer to them. But first, let me catch up on personals.

@faerywings I just read about Scott and Sam. I am so sorry that they got this stupid thing. Is Scott's workplace understanding about this? I would think places would be...but who knows how people will act. I guess the good news is that they have it together so they don't have to isolate from each other. I have decided to isolate in Sydney's room. And I am so excited to see your photos. So sorry that you have to re-schedule things.

@BrightEyes so happy about your car! Nothing ever happens early! And how great that the salesman is coming to get you. Can't wait to see the pictures of you and the car. Looks like the emojis got here just in time!

@vickyday I agree that 83° is hot. But if I'm getting an 83° day, I want it in January!

@taxed4ever I'm glad that you have some blue skies to enjoy your hike!

Good morning ladies. Today I want to putter around the house and do some scrapping. I'll head over to the dog park later this afternoon. I need to do some banking stuff later, we are slowly moving accts and funds from the lower mainland bank out to Kamloops. I forgot my password so had to request a new one and after going thru all the steps it told me to contact the branch, the app is not working properly right now. We always had trouble with that bank so will be glad when the day comes and we can close it down completely. We have an appt on Fri with our bank here to talk about transferring RRSP's and other things. I just do whatever D suggests b/c I haven't got a clue about that kind of thing.

@faerywings Sorry to hear about S & S. Hope they recover quickly.

@BrightEyes Yay, your car has arrived!

I need to go feed the birds (according to Remi whining at me) and then hop in the shower.

@LSlycord No, so sorry about you having it. Has Syd been tested since you came up positive??

As you can see, I am back on the computer. As luck would have it, one of the grandsons stopped by to see how I was doing. I asked if he had time to help me move a few things in the garage and he could. He carried out and broke down a lot of boxes, moved the 50 lb bag of potting soil and then moved the rest of the things for me. All I did was point and tell him where it needed to go! What would have taken me all afternoon to do, he had done in about 45 minutes!!! Then we had a nice visit for about 30 more minutes. So glad he was able to help as it is hovering around freezing with a cold wind blowing... had to have the garage door open while we worked. He put a few things for GW in the SUV so I will drop them off tomorrow morning on the way to the bank. The good thing is recycle pickup is tomorrow so the full bin will be emptied right away!!!

I'm going to cut this short, so I can do my workout. Be back.
