25 Days Until Spring!
It's getting closer, O-Fam!
I have to focus on that because we are getting Winter Storm Advisories for tomorrow night into Friday. I really don't want to deal with more snow. But look at that cute squirrel, isn't she adorable, all ready for spring?

I said that I was going to dedicate yesterday to Oscraps and I was able to get a little bit of scrapping done. A little bit of commenting. Not as much as I wanted because I was getting distracted. Honestly- I was distracting myself. LOL
Good news, Caitlyn put the babies in the top level of the big cage, and OMG they were hysterical to watch as they ran around and explored. Cait had been keeping them in the smaller cage thinking that Cordelia would not be here still- *looks at the calendar in surprise* almost 2 months later. (WOW) The cage she uses has four levels so she decided to block the top two levels off for the little ones. They were so funny as they were trying to maneuver around, especially on the climbing ropes. Badger started to climb across it, slipped, and caught herself by her hands. Then she climbed the rest of the way down hanging by her arms. They aren't sure of the wheel just yet. Squirrel went inside and it moved a bit- freaked her out and she bolted. Badger walked in it a bit and decided that she wasn't too keen either.

Scott cooked dinner for us last night, chicken parm sandwiches with vodka sauce. Very yummy! Sam came over for dinner which was nice seeing her too. She always has some crazy stories to share.
I am off to pick up groceries this morning and then clean for my friend in the afternoon. I hope I get to see his new kitty! He is about 6 months old but was skittish when he first came home last week. Maybe he will be comfier around people by now?

Hope you have a great day!

@LSlycord GOOD LUCK today!!!!!! Enjoy the first day at work. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
Hmmph doesn't seem like you got off to a good start setting up the computer. Or anything else that day. Hugs!
I know how hard it was with W at first, and I had 4 adults who kept eyes on them at all times. Ray pretty much stayed out of the way so that is also one less dog involved. It is a lot. :(

I read farther down and saw that they think he might have a bait dog. That breaks my heart and infuriates me. If that is the case, he will be much more comfortable in a single-dog situation. I hope he finds a good home- I know how wonderful you would be but he might not ever feel 100% safe. :(

OMG, what an end to the day too- I did something similar and the only way I got the little shards up was with damp paper towels. How disappointing to have to throw out the shrimp on top of it all.

@taxed4ever "lovely" North wind?? Really?? LOL I wish I could say the same thing, that I got lots accomplished but I am happy that you did.
I don't even want to think about MILs cupboards. Not cleaned since 2010... Although I bet the house and yard look amazing, even better that you did it all with family together. Hope you get to the pool today, that will feel so good!

@BrightEyes Sending you big hugs! Hope that you are relaxing and feeling better. Send some of your scrap mojo to me please :D

@Cherylndesigns That is crazy that Chuck found out he has two siblings on Ancestry!
All of these secrets and stuff... makes my brain turn over in my head a bit...

@bcgal00 Good luck in finding movers- it sounds like there is a lot of coordinating to do. You are super smart to focus on a few things every day, thank goodness you are so organized. You got this xoxo

@mom2triplets04 Can I come to your house, please? All of your baking making me drool a bit LOL
How did Myla do with training?

Hugs to you all!

Morning everyone! Another chilly morning, but the sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky. It is however 0 degrees Celsius brrrrrr!! I am heading to the pool soon, so sure hope that it isn't too busy and by now the New Years resolution people should be done LOL. It will be hard to get back into doing laps again, its been far too long. The music should help though. I hope to get a page done today and do a bit more commenting in the gallery too, not much else happening here.

@faerywings - Wow Cordelia is hanging in there longer than expected, good for her!! Sounds like you had a good time watching the young ones get accustomed to their space! How nice of Scott to cook dinner for you last night, the meal sounds yummy!! Hope you cleaning goes well and that the kitty will come out and visit with you for a bit!

@felis - Hi sweetie, so nice to see your lovely face again! I hope that you are keeping safe and that things are going ok for you! Your little "tiny" looked so sweet in his jacket that you made for him!

@Cherylndesigns - That is so fascinating that your Chuck found two siblings on Ancestry! We found out a few years back now that we had a niece we never knew of. My sister Joan had a daughter when she was quite young and went to live with my Mother's sister while she was pregnant, she made her swear that she would never tell our Mother. Sadly our Aunt died from cancer when she was in her late 40's and she never did tell our Mother. The daughter did find our sister Joan however and they met up and then our sister Joan decided it was time that we all found out. Our Father never knew as he passed before Joan told us, but our Mother met her new granddaughter and so did all the rest of us. She is a lovely woman who now lives in Australia and we all keep in touch with her. You never know what secrets some family members have!!

@bcgal00 - Oh the joys of moving!!! I have moved more times than I care to remember, but we were lucky enough to have the RCMP take care of all the hiring of movers etc. I hope that you can find a good company and that it happens quickly for you!! You must be so anxious to get into your beautiful new home!! You are very organized so I know that you will get this done. Like Chris says, You've got this!!

@mom2triplets04 - Wow you were very busy in your kitchen! I bet the house smelled heavenly!!

Ok I better get my swim bag all packed and ready to go. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Good morning ladies. I am on hold with telus to try to arrange the transfer of services for April. I spoke to one guy who says they have the fiber optic in the new home which is the same as here so its a matter of getting everything hooked up there. I've been on hold for 45 minutes so hopefully any minute now....

Slowly getting things done. Got almost all my clothes packed up except for a few of everything to get me thru the next month. I bought some hats yesterday for the cold winter days in Kamloops and some warm gloves. I keep looking at my friend's photos of Kamloops winter and can't wait til next winter when I will be out getting those photos too. Lots of snow and ice shots.

Today I'm tackling the basement again, have to run errands, have a dentist appt at 2 and want to take the dogs to the park for an hour. How did I ever have time for all these things when I was working before? I do enjoy the quieter morning, Remi is starting to get used to it. She is a creature of habit and tries to herd me along in our schedule but she now accepts that I sit at my kitchen stool for a longer time in the morning, about 45 minutes longer, and then I get dressed but don't go right into my office like I used to. She follows me around, I know she is trying to figure out what the "new" schedule is.

@faerywings Watching the rat babes sounds fun. I can just picture them :) Hope you enjoy seeing the kitty today when you go clean.

@taxed4ever Have a good swim. We have 4 movers coming for quotes at the end of the wk so hopefully we get something confirmed by the wkend. I'm enjoying the cold this wk, its chilly but dry which I like so much better than rain.

I'm going to go grab another coffee and I think telus should be coming on the phone soon, I've been on hold for a long time.

Morning, all. Woke up to 19* at 7 AM. Still below freezing at 11 AM. Looks like the cold front/storm will be here later today and tonight. Glad I am staying in and not getting out when it is bad. Yesterday morning, I got a call from my primary doc's office to schedule me for a chest x-ray and CT scan. It has been a year and she wanted a check on a small spot they found back then. I had to LOL as I had both done on Sat and I was getting ready to let the doc know all about the weekend event. Got a call late in the day to say that after comparing the x-ray and CT scan... nothing had changed in a year, so no need to do any more follow-up on that. Guess timing on the weekend's event and tests run was fortuitous.

@taxed4ever Hope you were able to get a spot for swimming laps. Bet the music will help you as you get back into the routine of swimming again. Hope that it warms up for you soon. Sounds like it was a very good working day at the in-laws. So neat that a lot of the family turned out to help.

@faerywings Saw the LO with one of the rats you did... so cute and fantastic LO! Bet the babies are enjoying the new play-area. Guess it will take a bit of time for them to learn how to use all the stuff there. I had to LOL over the one hanging on by her fingers as she moved back down to the floor. Who would have believed that Cordelia would still be alive... just goes to show that you never know when it will happen. Did you get to see your friend's new kitten when you were over there cleaning??

@LSlycord Hope your first day on the new job goes okay. I still get the shudders thinking about the accident with the bowl shattering! Hoping the cuts you got were minor and won't affect your working. Such a shame to have to throw out the shrimp. You will probably be finding glass shards for awhile. Yes, using a wet paper towel is the best way to wipe up the tiny ones. I was in the pantry a couple of weeks ago to put the Geo Forman grill away.. when I realized that putting it on the top shelf was just an accident waiting to happen if it slipped as I was taking it down or putting it away. Moved it down onto the floor under the shelves along with the waffle iron and a couple of other heavy things that had been stored on the top shelf.

@bcgal00 So glad to hear from you... sounds like you have a good handle on what needs to be done and when. Moving is the pits.... but it will be so nice once it is over and done. Had to LOL over Remi trying to herd you into your 'old' routine when you were working. Packing and sorting while still leaving out things you need for the next few weeks is a challenge. Nice that you found some caps and gloves for the colder area you are moving to.

It is time for lunch... but need to decide what to fix. CYL

I'm in The Zone ~ The "O" Zone

Good afternoon.

It's so cold here and sleeting and snowing (mostly sleeting). It's a balmy 19 degrees, but by next week, it's back up to 70. Kay @BrightEyes we must have gotten in the same cold front. UGH - they said we had one more coming up from the south. Adrienne was going to walk down and Chuck told her not to try - it's like an ice -skating rink out there. I think she may drive down later.

Trudy and Chris @taxed4ever and @faerywings isn't this family secrets thing something? Trudy, that's so interesting about your aunt. Unfortunately, Chuck found out that one of his "lost siblings" died at a rather young age and he thinks the other one did, as well. They would have been quite a bit older than him, but still, how interesting to find that out. Trudy, that's so nice that they did get to meet.

Linda @LSlycord hope your first day at work is going well.

I'm going to get off of here and go see what all is going on - lots of activity here today.

Hugs to all.

Good evening ladies! Work went well...thanks so much for all of the good wishes! The entire day was spent in reviewing CBT classes, etc. Probably another day like that tomorrow, but so far so good.

Got the call from the rescue folks and we will take Decker back to boarding tomorrow. I am so sad...he is such a sweet dog. Sometimes, he just cuddles up to me and then puts his head on my lap and goes to sleep. I am really going to be sad. But I think it will be best for him to find a home without other dogs. It's going to be hard on Shaun...he will still see him each day that he works. We told Mary that we would be willing to help with introductions at events.

Enough sad news. It got over 80 today. It was over 80 upstairs this evening so we turned the air on. I know...it sounds crazy. Our flight is at 7 am Friday morning. My paper chain is getting shorter all of the time.

@felis, first day down and it was good!

@faerywings I love that the rats are doing well. Sounds like they were having a good day!

@taxed4ever good job on getting the swim bag ready. I'm thinking that another week or so and I should be able to get back into the pool.

@bcgal00 a busy few weeks but that new life is right around the corner.

@BrightEyes brr. Glad that the spot was a non-incident!

@Cherylndesigns oh my...Oklahoma is cold right now!

Off to bed! Wishing you all a great day tomorrow. I'll be in tomorrow night to check in.
