Happy Wednesday to everyone! I feel like I am having a tough time staying on task. Not surprising this time of year, but darn if I can get a handle of any of it.
I was busy all day yesterday. Food shopping took longer than it should have. There were only two registers open and the line I was waiting on had a new cashier. When they revamped the store, they put in a lot of self-checkout lines. Those are great if you have just a few items but not for a full cart. But they seem to be putting fewer cashiers on the schedule now, guess the company thinks it can save money that way. I waited for over 15 minutes and I was the second person on the line. SMH. The cashier was sweet and what can you do, it isn't her fault.
When I got home, I called the State to find out what I am supposed to do if I need to see a Dr before Jan 1st when my HMO coverage kicks in. I waited on hold for 30 mins and finally hung up.

I went into the attic to get bring down some Christmas decorations and our Santa Mickey dinner plates. Caitlyn was very excited to see them, it has been many years since I took them down.
Then I spent the rest of the afternoon painting some of the ornaments Gary made for the Open House.

My plans for today are 100% wonky. I was going to make Gary's shortbreads and the dog cookies this morning while he was at the eye doctor. But now we have to go from the eye dr to a furniture store. My ILs are buying us a new sofa for Christmas since the one we have is literally falling apart. There is one on clearance that they want us to look at and Gary's dr is halfway there. Sitting in a Dr's office isn't how I want to spend my morning, but again... what can I do?

I better sign off, I need to get in the shower soon. xoxoxo!

Rae- Heather/Kibs did that to me every time I tried to do yoga-- had to try and lie on top of me. Taz is such a cutie. I am very happy that your new schedule is working out so well

Trudy- Good luck getting all of your shipping taken care of. Stay warm with the frosty weather. Did you find anything to wear to the party?
The kids have separate health insurance plans as of right now so there coverage will stay until Jan 1st.

Kay- Thank goodness that you called for an appt. I would have been in tears if I drove that far only to be told to come back.

Stacey- sorry to hear that you aren't able to bring Dory home yet for her Slumber Pawty. (still love that name!). I guess I assumed she was already spayed. Maybe spaying will help her "settle" a bit? I have no idea how that works with older females, we always had ours done right at 6 months.
Caitlyn has been in touch the foster family for her rats and it is really such a nice thing to be able to do. She had questions re: the abscesses and the foster mom sent her copies of everything the vet sent to her and it really makes such a difference.
You know all of my fingers and toes are crossed for the best outcome for you and Dory.

Oh, Chris... what a delightful photo!!! You all look so happy! Thanks for sharing with us. Sending thoughts that everyone stays healthy so you don't need to go to the doc for any health issues until next year.

I agree... I feel like I am spinning my wheels, too. You have been so busy and have accomplished so much already this month. Can't believe what all you have done. Yes, I am so glad I called the toll free number and got the appt with SS set up. Would have been so disappointed if I had made the trip then had to make an appt and come back. Hope to make it to the base on Thursday but the cold front is suppose arrive with rain/snow mix. So may have to put it off for another week.

DD#1 will be coming over this morning so only have a short time on the computer before she gets here. Haven't seen her since Thanksgiving - although we have talked on the phone. She was raving about their new adjustable bed that they just got. I have had one for about 15 months and love mine. Helps with my reflux so no more coughing during the night... same with DD#1.

Been going crazy trying to catch up on doing the LOs for the 12 days of Christmas challenges. Love the Chain Scraplift... so much fun to see what everyone is doing with it. Also have a lot of other LOs that have to done this week. Always a busy time at the first of each month.

Stacey, sorry there was a delay on bringing you pup home. Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

The girls sewing projects are still works in progress, I expect the youngest to finish hers this weekend, by the older will either need to decide on a smaller number or work for longer on them.

Chris, no we don't have any pets. I have enough to do with two of my children having a 24/7 care needs medical condition.

Santa Mickey dinner plates sound like lots of fun.

Lovely photo Chris.

I had a medical funding meeting at school today. My children need a carer ins school and we have to reapply every year for funding towards her salary. It's really hard work having to justify everything over and over again. This was for my son's funding, we had the same meeting for my daughter last month. I got soaked cycling home and am sitting in front of a heater warming up before walking out to collect my youngest. I'll be on foot for that so will be able to use the umbrella. Hubby is hoping the rain stops before he collects the older two on the bike in an hour.

Morning ladies... another busy day for me today, I have my hike this morning which will take about 3 hours, then off to have my hair trimmed so I don't look like a hot mess for our Christmas Party this Saturday. Still looking for a nice Christmasy type of top to wear, but man the pickings are slim! A couple of other shops to check out this afternoon. I am having a hard time finding time to do any scrapping here for the 12 Days, but really want to catch up on all of the fun! So tomorrow I will dedicate most of my time here at the O and hopefully my day will be free of interruptions.

Chris - Love your photo!! Crazy fun!! Sorry you had such a long wait at the grocery store! But like you say what can you do, its not the cashier's fault! I did get my parcel out to FedEx and it cost a lot, but still the same price as the Post Office and I know it will get there on time!

Waving :hello: to everyone else... I need to get my lunch packed into my backpack for my hike and best get busy doing it. Have a wonderful Wednesday ladies!! I will catch up with you all tomorrow!

good morning - wow it is cold. It is in the 20s and I really am not sure I am ready. Yesterday I had my assessment for the aqua therapy. And I am signed up for 3 days a week and for an hour. I hope this works since it is really not my favorite to be in water that often for that long. My DH was home and that always changes the times in the house so I did not get much accomplished. I did go out to dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter. I have found a new drink hot chocolate with Baileys. Not drinks at Panera's but this other restaurant there is so we went there for fun. Tonight lol we are going to Panera's. I have a lot of scrapping to catch up on so that should keep me busy while I watch hockey. My team does not play until tomorrow night.

Chris I never pick the correct check out line in a grocery store. Every where I go I pick the slowest moving line. Glad to hear that the rats will soon be coming. And OMgosh that photo is perfect! you, family and dogs so cute!

Trudy have fun on the hike! Did you see that Tom Wilson got hit by Ryan Reaves of the Golden Knights and had to helped off the ice. He coach was furious but it was pretty much the same hit Wilson did against my Devil Seney. I think Reaves is about the only player who can hit Wilson equally. I don't want Wilson hurt but I was glad to see that he was getting back some of what he seem so carelessly to dish out. But the worst is to see the coach be such a hypocrite saying this hit was dirty but never seeing his player is dirty. End of hockey rant. But how about Seattle becoming of rival to Vancouver. Sounds be fun having a new team again. Now to worry what player the team will lose but not for 2 years and so much changes.

Rae saw the photos on Facebook and they are gorgeous. How fun that Taz likes to help you work out.

Kay I have always wanted a flexible bed. Sounds awesome! Have fun with your daughter. Glad you got an appointment. Hope it all goes well.

Angela glad the sewing is going so well! I am glad it is not me out in the rain. I would not be pleasant about it. I don't like being a drowned rat.

Felis so good to have you back here!

Stacey hope you get your puppy soon!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. My busy work schedule continues. It'll be nice to have a lighter load for a few wks at Xmas. Looking forward to that. This afternoon I want to make some tomato soup in the instant pot and will put some riced cauliflower in it.

Chris - love the holiday pic! Nice props. Our pet store doesn't have great props but its still fun to bring Taz and also watch the other families with their pets. How sweet that C was excited for the mickey plates. I too was thinking that I might pull out a few old Xmas things this year that will perk Jen up. We're excited to spend it with B but its also sad b/c of the situation.

Trudy - have a great hike. Looks like a cold, crisp, clear day. Perfect for bundling up and getting outdoors.

Angela - hope the funding gets dealt with without any problems and hope you stay warm and dry. We have clear weather for a few days but our rain is coming back for at least a wk or so, starting this wkend. Hate the rain at this time of year.

Kay - the scraplift was fun! Enjoy your visit with your daughter today. Having an adjustable bed sounds wonderful.

Hope everyone is well and have a great day. I'd better get another coffee and get to work.

Hi girls!
Just quick pop up today, because I'm overwhelmed. I didn't planed my day good. It was too cold and icy to go out past few days and I procrastinated many tasks. That almos never ends good. So today finally was better (even with rain) . but I'm turned off the morning alarm without to realize it and everything was on rush. But looking up in your posts, it's like we all are in this boat today.

Chris, I L O V E your christmas photo!!!!! Did you tried to take home the horse too ;) . I'm pretty sure that these Disney princes fall in love so easily just because wants to own horse. Today wasn't the most funniest day for you, but your support is make happy Gary and your ILs and that's the point of this season, the family things, right?! Personally I go to furniture store just to watch, maybe it's kind of strange, but I like these places with clean energy and new promises.

Nancy, hope the aqua therapy to give you some relief. Are that mineral water source? Here is very popular, we have few towns with mineral water pools and separated to SPA and Medical procedures, if one of the family needs medical exercises the other can go also and go to SPA.

Aww Angela, but exist specially trained dogs which actually helps to improve the condition of children in many different medical cases. They deserve the beauty of childhood to take a pet promising to be response for it and then to let mom to care for it.

I'll combinate both days personals to others, today and yesterday's:

Rae, oh, Taz is so adorable in his role of personal trainer, you couldn't have cuter assistant!
And thank you so much for the compliments about my LO! Hehe, I love to try my luck at giveaways, and I think I have good balance between won and disappointment, but mostly for small things (books, DVD movie, last year was amount for the jacket). My mom's best friend is really lucky person and was won amounts for home appliances few times. But she play with paid lottery tickets.

Trudy, good luck with the shopping and hope it's will be fun too! Hope the weather to be good for your hike! I going well with the scraping, but far behind with gallery comments and they are most important part of the party for me, so really have to fix that!

Kay, sounds like you had successful day, I'm happy for you! uh, but annoying that will have to deal with formality exact on a Christmas Eve! Hope this would not to mess up to much your traditional tasks on this day! Have fun with your daughter. Actually how many kids you have (sorry I'm missed this) !

Zanthia, yes it's have many differences between the foundations here and in US, with Chris we often discuss this :) . Hope Dory get better soon and you can get it! Did you prefer to call you on your name, Stacey?

Meant to post yesterday, but it got lost somewhere in my head apparently. I started yesterday with the computer genealogy board (and DH) having lunch at a Chinese restaurant before the board meeting. It's been a December tradition for a number of years now. I had done the day 4 challenge before bed and so got to do two designer challenges yesterday. Now I've got week 48 to post and the Santa list LO to do. Meanwhile, there are, as always, all these thing that I'm really supposed to be doing. We may get the new vacuum today or perhaps tomorrow. Tonight is the bird club meeting and tomorrow DH and H&S play at the senior center for their potluck. Then I have a few days where I need to buckle down and get things done.

Chris, the photo is delightful! I can see it will be fun to scrap. Personally I hate self check outs as somehow they always seem to malfunction. But then I'm very old school liking personal contact. Well, going with G to the eye doc on the way to the furniture store could be a time to relax if you let it. Stress over the tasks later when you can actually do them.

Kay, the bed sounds great and DD#1 must think so too now that she's got one. Hope it helps you sleep longer!

Angela, hope the sewing projects are going as you predict. I can see how pets would be way too much more to deal with.

Trudy, hope the hike is wonderful and that your shopping comes up with something as great as the "Paris dress".

Nancy, let us know what's up with the aqua therapy. Sounds interesting but wet. :-D At least you've got hockey to watch and friends to eat out with.

Rae, you really deserve the lighter workload and time to enjoy the holidays with your family and Taz. The description of Taz and your workout was so sweet.

Felis, turning off the alarm sounds like something I'd do. Then you do have to rush. Glad you're getting into the party here. Love your LO that got lifted in the chain lift and the sweet kitty you did there.
