Yeah, I am really late getting in here today. It has been a rough, emotional 24 hours.
It started yesterday when Caitlyn texted me that she found out some bad info about the rats they use in her Psych of Learning class. After the experiments are over, they are "sacrificed." No chance that they could be adopted, something to do with ethics laws (????!!!!) and federal funding of a public college.

She gets home very upset and doesn't know how she is going to successfully take the class/run the lab experiments knowing that they will be killed afterward. We looked online and she can drop the class w/o academic penalty but she will only get a 50% refund of tuition. She talks t me, Gary, Scott, my dad, Brendan and we all agree that she wouldn't be able to do it without getting emotional. After hours of debate, checking to make sure that she won't have conflicts with graduation requirements, she drops the class.

This morning, I went up to her room when I woke up to say good morning and I could see that Clover wasn't doing well. She wasn't interested in her walnut or cheerio. I let Scott know that she wasn't looking good and to maybe say goodbye to Clove before he left. When we went up, she was even worse. You could see that she was having a hard time breathing and her tail and ears were white and cold. Soon after, she snuggled up to Caitlyn and passed away while we were all there. Caitlyn is naturally devastated. I know you all have heard how much she adores those girls. I am heartbroken, for both Clover and for her.

I scrapped a page for a challenge a few weeks ago about grief and I guess it is time for me to post it. :(

Aw, Chris....hugs to Caitlyn. What a rough time for her. Good thing she was able to drop that class but sucks about loss of money. Then to come home and lose little Clover.

I saved a little rat this morning. Taz was barking and scratching at the fence where a few pieces of 2x4 are lying. I got dressed and went out to see what was there and Taz was standing beside the wood with a little rat in his mouth. I made him drop it and with much coaxing I got Taz back into the house. I went to pick it up with a shovel and it started moving (he was playing dead). So I spoke softly to him, moved slowly with the shovel and was able to place him over the fence into the bush/green space behind us and off he ran.

Today we'll be heading up to see B after work and I still need to make some dessert bars for B as I never got time yesterday to do it. Taz and I need to go for a jog this afternoon too.

I'm head over to VV to see what exercise clothes they have. I need long sleeved tees and maybe a warmer running jacket.

Hope you all have a great day. Talk later.

bless your hearts Chris.

I'm thinking that the inventor of bubble wrap was secretly looking for a cool way tp paint fish. Seriously, it's a super cool and fun way to paint fish.

Hi Ladies... I was MIA all day, but it has been a very busy day for me. Got my laps in very early in the morning and the pool was nice and quiet and nice and clean!! They just re-opened after the yearly cleaning. Then I came home and had a nice facetime with Heather and Hunter. Poor Hunter has a bad cold so he was not his usual happy self, poor little man! Sure hope that Heather does not catch this cold! Then I met a friend downtown for a coffee and had a nice visit with her. Then my sister Pam called and said that she had 2 dozen eggs for me and could I meet her downtown and have a cup of tea with her. So I have had my quota of caffeine today LOL. My sister started keeping chickens a few months ago and they are laying like crazy, so I get lots of free range eggs from her at a really good price! They just finished making another chicken coop so that they can get some heritage hens, they are really getting into this chicken busniness :becky: So I just recently got home and I am enjoying the sunshine streaming through the kitchen window! It is so nice out that I think I will get DH to BBQ some burgers tonight for supper :hungry:

Chris - Oh my, how very sad for Cait and all of you! I know how much she loves her girls, so heartbreaking!! It is also too bad that she has to give up half of her tuition, but really no sense taking a course that will be too upsetting to complete! :hugs: for all of you! I will have to check out your page for sure!

Rae - Tenderhearted you saving that little rat from the jaws of your Taz! I hope that you have a great visit with B today! Nice that you are baking so many good things for her! Hope that you find some great excercise clothing at VV! I know you will, your shopping karma is always good! Enjoy your jog with Taz this afternoon! The sun is shining and it is nice and warm out so I know you will love your time outside!

Angela - Painting fish with bubble wrap??? Who knew?? Sounds like fun though! Enjoy!

:hello: Jean and Felis! Hope you are both doing well !

I will hopefully spend at least an hour trying to finish off my newest Paris page. Wish me luck LOL.

Chris, oh,
I'm so sorry to hear about Clover! The fact that you gave to her best life she could have is not any solace of course, but it's not less.
Hugs Caitlyn strong from me!
I think it's sad enough to can share, that this month was really awful for me too. I'm dealing with the loss of gorgeous babies kittens I had to fostering. And really, really, hate the life right now. So I know exactly what she feels.
But support of the family have meanings.

From a while I not stay up date about the events into the life of the others girls, so excuse me my dears, but I'll only wave to you and hope that you doing well!
