Happy Tuesday to you all. How are you today? Nancy is at the hospital by now so I am wishing her a very successful surgery and easy recovery! I bet she is going to be watching hockey and traveling in no time.

I am doing ok- woke up at 4 am but was able to stay in bed until the coffee pot beeped at 5. Yesterday was a decent day even if I hadn't slept great that night either. I scrapped a page for the Web Challenge and I *love* it! It is rare when I am really happy with a LO. I was also able to start one for the Storybook Challenge. not to bad. I was pretty good about not doing too much of anything.

I did clean the kitchen and run two loads of laundry. Unfortunately, there is something wrong with the "new" washing machine. It is making the clothes smell funny. We thought it was when I washed a wool blanket, then maybe the filter needed cleaning. Yesterday, I dumped all of the detergent and cleaned out the dispensers but smells bad anyway. It should still be under warranty. SMH...

Off to the grocery store this morning and then putting the DR back to how it should be.

HAGD!!!!

Good luck again to you, Nancy!!!

Kay- I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. Gary was flipping channels last night and I heard the news announcer say that they would be showing video of the ABQ balloons coming up but he skipped past it. But I thought of you!
Our frost date is Oct 15, IIRC- but the way the weather keeps on changing who knows anymore? In 2011 we had a blizzard right before Halloween- it was nuts.
We ate at the table last night- no table cloth and it was strange. At least with the high-gloss poly, you *saw* that it was protected. The matte just looks-- well, unfinished LOL

Trudy- it was a good day to be cooking hearty, fall foods when it is windy and rainy outside. I have to start thinking about making some soups. Were you able to get started on a painting or a scrap page?
I did take a pic of my table, I will have to post it soon.
Poor little guys of yours- still sick :( Hope that everyone feels better asap.

Felis- It is hard to get out of bed when it is cold and dark. My life is very boring as well. Please-- write about your "boring" days and keep me company in that.
yeah-- what kind of person forgets to buy COFFEE???? :faint:
:p
I go through the same thing in my town. We have very few small shops and they are usually overpriced. I try my best to shop local but doesn't always make sense.
Jaida had to be in one of the pics I took of the table, I will have to share that one too.

Good Morning everyone! It is another cloudy fall day and very chilly in our house! My coffee is tasting good and keeping me warm this morning! This morning I will get to the pool and then see what the rest of the day brings. Yesterday I enjoyed a nice day of just doing whatever I felt like, I managed to get one of my paintings started and really like it, but the second one I had to scrape off the paint and will try again perhaps this afternoon. I started to scrap a page for one of the challenges and while I was doing that I was thinking ... OMG I have to start my calendars pretty soon!! It will be November before we know it and then the panic will start to get them done for Christmas!! Yikes where the heck do the days go??? LOL.

Chris - Your table turned out beautifully!! I LOVE IT!! That grey colour looks so sophisticated and classy!! All of your hard work sure paid off! I can see where you would feel that it is unprotected though, but I am sure it will be just fine and perhaps all you will need to do is protect it from anything that is too hot? So pretty!! Are you doing your chairs too?? I am hoping that when I face time with Heather and Hunter today that everyone is feeling much better! Hunter has been very grumpy and clingy and poor Heather can't get anything done. Tomorrow he will go to Pre-School hopefully if he is feeling up to it and then she can have a break for a day. Yes it is the time of year to get some soups made, I will have to see what is out there that I can have and will make DH's fav hamburger soup for him, he has been asking me to do that for a couple weeks now. Hope you have a good shopping experience this morning!

Felis - Your days sound like mine too! Not really much of anything happening and it is hard to drag myself out of bed in the mornings!! Our shops are the same here, overpriced ! I try to support them, but hate to pay so much for something I can buy somewhere else for much less!! I get my eggs from my sister who raises her own chickens and she feeds them so well, they are lucky hens!! Her eggs are so good, I am sad when I have to get them from the grocery store they just are not as good. Isn't coffee a terrible price! We go through a lot of coffee on the weekends as my Gary will stop for a coffee break several times throughout the day LOL. We have a certain brand that we both like and of course it is very expensive! Oh well one of the pleasures that we are willing to pay for just on the weekends as I drink a different coffee during the week, made with my Tassimo and much cheaper.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day! Thinking of you this morning Nancy and hoping that all goes well with your surgery and recovery!!

Hi all, I am trying to talk between kitty climbing over my keyboard. I am a foster for our local shelter and I was given a cat who was 1 month old and one lb. The shelter likes to place the young kitties in a home to gain weight and socialize. This kitty was picked up by humane officers and its tail was partially cut off and it lost one eye. I was taking care of it while it recouperated from surgery. This cat is amazing. The one eye doesn't bother her and she is outgoing, runs from side to side and loves to play and snuggle. I ended up adopting her. she likes to sleep next to me at the computer desk my hubby and I share. You can't tell but she lost her left eye. I now have a zoo- 2 dogs and 2 cats.

cooler weather has come our way finally after record highs in Oct. of 97. I hope to get the dogs out for a walk if my SI joint will cooperate. Its been giving me a fit for weeks.

Trudy- great on the paintings.
Chris- the table looks great and your dog is sooo cute!

Loving the O's challenges this month! Have a great day.

Good morning, ladies!
To write about ordinary days is boring, but to live in it is actually very comfortable! I don't mind whole life of days like Monday. Yes, I think Mondays would be fine. Not yesterday, and definitely not today, as I feels unlucky today. I'm almost done with one page for the challenges, but I couldn't found the photo I want to use on it. I'm searching whole morning unsuccessful. Tried another page, but again thinks not match, so I only wasted my time unproductive. :frusty: Maybe tomorrow!

Chris, the table is great! You should be proud! I'm see some people to put thinner glass used as a cover on a wood surface. But I'm not sure do this could be functional for you, as I see it is 'stretched out' type.. Love the pics! Hope to can clear what is wrong with the washing machine! Did you have at US this advertise about Calgon and the strange smells?

Trudy, sorry to hear that kids are sick, and wish them fast recovery! Yep, it's again this season. Definitely have to start with your calendars as they takes lot of time. I'm start to think for Christmas gifts too, as delivery takes long to here. Oh I'm a massive coffee lover, and my sister kidding me that I have to open one of these cat coffee, when people comes to drink coffee and hugging cats, till listening music, my most favorithe things at the world! These kind of cat cafeteria are very popular in Europe now. But I'm to lazy to run my own business.

Sharon, oh, congrats for the adoption! That's so sweet! And welcome in the team, I'm foster parent too! I'm afraid that you are far behind me and Chris, in houses become in zoo, but greetings for the first steps in that direction! :cheer2: I want to tell you my big admiration about your decision, and how lovely and important is that you give chance to this little beauty! Ok, this sounds much like I'm flattering myself, but just because everybody here do it, don't change the fact that the world outside is a cruel place and needs more people who cares!
