This is the Holy crap Edition!!!!!!

1. I feel like a truck hit me.
2. I have to go food shopping this morning. Not only is it right before Thanksgiving, it is also the day before a snowstorm. OMG!
3. Yes, snow. Y'all know how much I hate snow. depending on the forecaster we are looking at over 6-10" for tomorrow. It was 69* when we got down to the hospital yesterday- tomorrow it is going to be 30* colder???
4. My house is a MESS!!!!!
5. 3 additional phone calls to healthcare.gov yesterday, creating a new account, and I *still* can't get logged in. But I am baby stepping closer. I have picked the plan that works for me financially and I confirmed that my Gyn and Breast surgeon are in the plan. Today I get to call healthcare.gov back and sign up on the phone.
6. It is only Tuesday. :faint:

But there is good news in all of this- if it does snow tomorrow, then I won't have to work (not worrying about money, not worrying about money...) then I have a full day at home!!!!
The other really good news is that Cait's BF doesn't need surgery and if the CAT scans today show that the hole in his lung is not getting any bigger, he should be able to go home today.
When we went to visit him yesterday, his mom was there too. She needed to go out for a smoke, so I went with her so they could get some alone time. Well, as much alone time as ya can get in a hospital!! When we came back up to his room, they were sitting next to each other on the bed, he had his arm around her and she had his head on his shoulder. They looked so cute. I know it meant a lot to both of them that they got to see each other. She made him dinosaur cookies too. And made him eat his salad before he had a second cookie LOL

So that it about it here... You read my rant about yesterday and today.

QOTD
I am being inundated with Back Friday sales circulars and emails. I have never and will never shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. (online doesn't count, but even then, I wouldn't necessarily shop online just to get a deal ;))
Do you do Black Friday shopping? I know some people love it, but I don't get it at all all.

Morning Chris-and the rest of the O fam!Chris, I hope you don't get hit by the storm. I have decided to drive to my brothers for Thanksgiving- trusting that the furnace man is correct and there is nothing wrong with my furnace. Today is my last day of work till next Monday- did you here the excited scream?? I have much to do to get my house ready for my son, his gf and their dog's visit in mid December. Other than that- off to an enjoyable day at work.

quickies form Monday- I need to help cait print some photos before we head out to school.

Laurie- I hope you haven't blown away with the wind! The jingle boxes sound adorable! I bet you can't wait to have DS home :)

Phyllis- I should have saved that Weather Bitch photo that I posted the other day. I should photoshop that a bit and make it my avi!!! I hope that the snow stays far away from you.

nancy- it has been so nice outside. Gary is in a manic phase, so he has been out there raking so my yard is almost done.
I have said it before, and I will say it again MEN!!! :frusty:
Why are they so...clueless????
Pecan pie-- oh yum......... :D

Trudy- how did you feel doing laps again? I hope that you didn't push yourself too much, esp after all of that cleaning.
I thankfully slept well last night. I took 2 trazadones. I am prescribed 1-2 at bedtime, but I only take one unless I am in bad shape. They are non-addictive but I still hate the amount of meds I take every day. But I only woke up a few times and was able to get back to sleep. yay!!!!
They don't know why he got the collapsed lung, there was no injury. I hope that it doesn't happen again.

I better get running... TTYS!!

xoxo

'morning. almost afternoon, really. the sun is shining, and so far i've heard two different versions of our TG forecast. Intellicast and Weather.com say a very little, remote chance of snow. Weather.gov says 40% chance. you know me. i believe that most things that end in ". gov" are probably wrong. i guess we'll see. even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Chris, your own ".gov" experiences are just reinforcing what i already think!! good luck with the waiting and waiting. and waiting. glad that Caits boyfriend is improving. that had to be really scary! nice that they have each other. i hope the snow is less than you're expecting, and that it's wet snow that doesn't make the roads insane. good luck!

Nancy. i'm with Trudy. tell your son if he doesn't shape up you're calling in an International Task (like changing tires...)Force to whip him into shape. that would be one Canadian and one American. honestly, don't we all need to be careful what we teach our family that they're allowed to do to us and what we will and won't put up with. yes. we doooooooo!

Trudy, how did the swimming go? please, don't overdo it!! this is the time of year when we're supposed to GAIN weight. not try to lose it! :pound: is it still raining? i'll have to check your radar.

Laurie, does that mean you're driving up to Rochester? well, if so, hopefully all the weather stuff is over for the time being.

Hi, Jean!

Hi, Cinda!

got up early today for my bloodwork appointment, then had some eggs and sausage from the McDonald's drive-thru in the neighborhood. i am now in the midst of my FOURTH attempt to bake bread for TG. dunno why, but my recipe keeps coming out wrong. i now have six loaves of mediocre bread in my freezer and am hoping these two turn out right. if not, i give up. i told DH he'll be eating a lot of toast in the near future. tomorrow is Make the Pies Day. all i have to do after that is get salad ingredients prepared on TG morning, then we're ready to go Over the River and Through the Woods to SIL's house.

QOTD: my approach to holiday shopping is get as much of it done in October and online as possible. nothing gets me right OUT of the Christmas Spirit than rubbing elbows with Mad Shoppers. :suspicious:

hope everyone has a lovely day. hopefully that snow storm on the coast will not be too impressive. :becky:

Morning O-Zies!! A very :rain: day here today and sounds like it will stay that way for the next 3-4 days. Well like I always say, "you don't have to shovel rain"!! I did make it swimming, however I almost turned around and came home when I saw the parking lot! It was jammed packed full, but the crowds must have been at the hockey arena next door, because there were not that many at the pool. I did not swim as many laps as I usually do, but I was exhausted after a half hour and called it a day. Hopefully tomorrow it will not take quite so much out of me. Slow and steady and I should be back to normal soon!

Chris - Glad to hear that you finally got a good nights sleep! Sorry that you are not having a very good morning though. I hope that you get to the grocery store and get everything you need before the snowstorm and the terrible crowds of people have shown up!! Good news about Cait's BF!! I wonder what on earth caused his lung to collapse like that??

Laurie - Hope your furnace guy knows what he is talking about, please drive safely to your Brother's house, it will be nice for you to spend Thanksgiving with him!! So happy for you that you get such a nice long break from work!!

Phylis - You can send some of that homemade bread this way!! I haven't made bread in forever, although if I did eat it I would probably suffer terribly with heartburn, but it would be worth it :becky: I hardly ever eat bread anymore and I miss it ! LOL on the weight Gain this time of year, no danger of me ever losing very much I love to eat too much!! :hungry: Yes it is still :rain: here, but thats ok as long as its not snowing anywhere but the mountain tops. Hope you manage to get everything all packed and ready for your trip to the SIL's ! At least you don't have to supply the whole meal!!

 Hi Nancy, Hi Jean I hope you are having a great day!

Ok I need some breakfast then I am scrapping the day away today, both for layouts here and for my calendars, gosh I am so far behind on those I don't think I will ever get them done!!
Enjoy the day all!!

QOTD: I never shop day after anything. Hate crowds. One year I did do Black Friday sales online though.

I have to hit the grocery today too, but no weather crowds to expect. Sure hope you don't get clobbered with the storm, Chris. Sweet picture you paint of Cait and BF at the hospital. Dinosaur cookies sound great.

Phylis, goodness, sorry the bread is not cooperating. Hope that last batch behaved.

Laurie, good luck on the drive. Hope you have only good roads to travel. Congrats on the days off.

Trudy, so good to know you did get in some swimming. Hope it goes even better today. And you're right, no shoveling rain. Even the wind here yesterday had a good side as it blew away many of the leaves in our front yard!

Hi to Nancy and Cinda and anyone else dropping by. Hope it's a good day.
