GooOd morning, O-zies! I read an article on the Atlantic this morning about how the pandemic is messing with your brain and memory. The author called it "microdoses of stress." That really seems to sum it up, both good stress and bad stress. I woke up with a mild anxiety attack at 4 am this morning, triggered by something in a dream. I don't remember what the dream was about but it was enough to keep me from getting back to sleep at all. I am going to need more coffee today than usual.
At least the sun is shining and it isn't supposed to be too cold- 50* today. Nice! Tomorrow is going to be about the same and the kids are having their 2 best friends over to hang by the fire in the afternoon. They might need to walk through some snow but I bet they aren't going to care that much.
I have more good vaccine news to share! Gary got his first dose last night too!!! One of Cait's best friends works at a CVS and called Caitlyn at 7 pm to see if she was available to get a shot before 8 pm. They had a leftover dose that was going to need to be trashed otherwise. She had classes until 8.30 and couldn't go, so the friend asked if Gary wanted it. He almost didn't go at first. I gave him the "WTF?? Look "and he went. *G* Now he is going to be set too. We just have to get the kids taken care of at some point and things will be better.
One of the tips that has been suggested in getting an appt on the CVS website is to click on any of the states, see if there is an opening, and then search with your zip code. I was looking for Gary yesterday morning and clicked on FL. I was shocked at how different the eligibility requirements were there. I know that it was up to the states how to distribute them but I guess I didn't realize how different.
I finished my shopping order and I think I only cursed once or twice. My pickup is tomorrow so whether I get everything I need or not is a different story. This afternoon, Gary and I have phone appts with our LLMD. I hope that she is on time, or close to it. The last time Gary had a phone appt, she was running so late that she ended up rescheduling it to the next day. One of the benefits (I think) of not having to be in the office is that waiting at home isn't as bad- but-- you might not get the appt time you had booked.
I have to go make sure Cait is awake, back soon!
