I cannot tell if it feels more like another Monday or maybe a Thursday. Definitely not a Friday...

I did get a bunch of stuff done yesterday, but I still have more to do today. I went to work, did yard work, went for a walk with my friend. Then watched the final episode of Season 2 of Orange is the New Black. I liked this season but it wasn't as "gritty" as the first one. But I did like the last few episode, a lot. Some good twists and some funny stuff in there too.

Today is babysitting my neighbor's son, food shopping, Dollar Store and Health food store. Interesting combo, right? :)

Ya'll are so quiet again, I hope that everyone is enjoying nice weather and being outside.

xoxo!!

Looks like I scared everyone off again, except for Nancy this time. LOL

Hey there! We are having some amazing weather here in NJ! Love it. Still a bit colder up here for me in the mountains but def doable.
You are the Grill Master Queen! I always said that I cook inside, Gary cooks outside. That worked until he got so sick that there were days he couldn't stand on his feet long enough to grill so I had to learn. Like I said in Nini's BBQ thread, now no one eats meat so I have to find grilled veggie recipes.

Caitlyn told me that mosquitos are learning how to ignore bug spray and I am learning that she is right.I was doused with the stuff, and got bitten a lot of times, darn buggers.

Tip on Tuesday
This time of year we end up with fruit flies in the house which makes me crazy. I found a way to catch them without chemicals. I used apple cider vinegar for mine

Good morning - yesterday was just a simple Monday until my son called. Turns out that as he was driving to work he was behind a dump truck and a stone was thrown and now he has a broken windshield. I called the insurance and now just waiting to set up the time for them to fix it. Fortunately not so bad he can't drive. Then he calls me at 1:30 in the morning to let him in the house as when was walking to the back door some animal was there and he was scared to go the rest of the way. Too funny but not for me as it woke me from a great night's sleep. I let him in and then went right back to sleep. That is good! He called his dad 5 times before he called me and his dad did not hear phone at all LOL. Watched soccer and the Mexican coach is a crack up at how excited he gets. I think he would be fun to play for. Watched Wimbledon and Sloan Stevens was an upset loss. Got in a good walk. Got some scrapping done. My travel book is almost done but I need to even out some pages for printing.

Chris you don't scare people off LOL. Too funny about us Grill Masters ladies. If you want to eat you have to cook. Like the fact that I do not have to heat up the kitchen and don't have pans to clean. Hope baby sitting goes well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning ladies, yup its me!!! I know I have been so very absent from here! I have a few precious moments to be on the computer while DD and Mason are catching a morning nap. Mason has been all screwed up with the time change, but we are slowly getting him back to his schedule. :rain: today so a good day to go do some shopping. Long weekend this weekend and hubby wants to do a Costco run. It will be a total madhouse there!! Not sure why he wants to do this on a long weekend :loco:

Chris - You could never scare any of us away!! We love you too much!! Hope you can find some good veggie grill recipes! I only have to BBQ when hubby is not around, he loves to grill, but he is a fair weather cook and will not BBQ in the rain or cold. I also use apple cider vinegar for those pesky fruit flies, they keep trying to go for a swim in my glass of wine and it drives me crazy!!

Nancy - What kind of animal was at your door??? Racoon, Bear?? I would be scared too!! So happy that your son was not hurt from that flying rock! Not long ago a man was killed here following a logging truck and a huge stone flew out from his tire and went right through the windshield and hit him in the head, he was killed instantly, his poor wife had to pull the vehicle over and stop the car. It was horrible. Now the logging trucks are not allowed on the highway until there tires and wheel wells are inspected for rocks. Sounds like you are having fun watching your sports!

Hope everyone forgives me for being so absent, I am trying my best to get back here, but it is proving to be very difficult with a one year old in the house!! I have so many photos that I want to scrap, but not sure when I will ever have the time to do it. Probably not until summer is over and everyone is back at their own homes. Then I will be sad and empty nest syndrome will hit me again. :hurt: Oh well try to have a great day everyone!!

Good morning all! I'm very hit and miss when it comes to posting here but I do try to check in an read at least a few times a week.

I'm off down east tomorrow to visit with Diane in Montreal for a couple of days and help her alter her wedding dress, then up to the cottage to meet up with Les who is on the final couple of days of his biking trip! He's four days ahead of schedule so will be arriving up there before us! Sneaky guy! We had hoped to be up there to welcome him with banners and a party!! The trip has gone amazingly well for him but I think he's about had enough - 3500 km down so far!

I hadn't heard about the apple cider vinegar tip for fruit flies before - defnitely going to have to try it.

So yesterday we went to the amusement park that is 2.5 hours away. (By Linda S. for those of you who know her.) We left early, got home late, and were exhausted. So I'm catching up now.

Jode - My SIL has been unstable like this for 40 years...nothing will change. LOL We are all done trying to get MIL see it too. Whatever. One more final baseball game with their team tonight and then we won't have to do anything with her until the end of July. yay.

Chris - I can't believe June is almost over. Insane. We have a dumb law that alcohol can't be purchased before noon on Sunday. A year or two ago it got changed to just hard liquor. What the what? I know it's rooted in the church practices, but still...#1 - Wouldn't it make more sense to limit it during the week when more people are out and about and working? #2 - Wine, beer, etc....just as bad!!!, #3 - Just dumb. Mickey lights sound fun!! Sunday shower was fine. No drama. She refused to speak to anyone in the family. I did confirm that she did take down her whole FB page either that or she literally blocked the entire family. (Not just defriended, but blocked.) Oh well. She's a horrible person and I'm sorry to say that her son is a horrible kid...so the less interaction we have with them the better. At some point, you would think her mother would say...Hmmmm...who is the common denominator in all of this? Why does no one at all want to be Tara's friend or Cameron's friend?? And I mean truly...she has a guy friend who is close to her and has been for years. An older gay man who has battled cancer several times. And she has another gal who is divorced twice and foster mom to several kids. That's it. No other friends....I'm dead serious too. There is no one else that does things with her, goes out with her, etc. Anything else comes from the school and sports of the kids. Which is why she has her son in 9 activities for next year. He was bragging about it at the shower. "I'm the most active kid you'll ever meet!" You know why? Because you wouldn't have any friends or anything to do at home and your mom would have no life and can't deal with you at home!!!! *sigh* /rant
Thanks for the tips on the flies. I wonder what works with Mosquitoes! Hateful little creatures!

Nancy - You're making me hungry. We desperately need a new grill, but I can't get DH to commit to one. He is so wishy washy about purchases. Ouch about the bees. Who would have thought they'd build under a pile of leaves?! Oh my goodness with your son! That's a heck of a story. Good thing the stone did not go through his car! We had a woman killed when some teens dropped a cinder block off an interstate overpass bridge and it went through her windshield. I don't recall if they caught them, but I wish they would and do something series. How do you not expect that to hurt someone?? Glad your son is safe though and you got to go back to sleep later!!

Hi Trudy!!! I bet it's crazy having people there when you aren't used to them. We do miss you here. And curse those flies for touching your wine! We found a good gewurztraminer that I really like and I'd be ticked if they took a swan dive into it!

Hi Jane! Sounds like an eventful time for you! Hope the biking trip ends well for him! Enjoy the time together!

We have our last baseball game tonight. They didn't bother making up the rained out games. The last two Tuesdays have been forfeits. Hopefully, they get to play tonight since it's the last game! I think we will switch leagues next year (not the least reason of which is my SIL. I didn't want Ben to be on her bratty kid's team, but I think she specifically requested it. How else would an 8-yo who has never played end up on a team with 9-yos who have been together for two years?). Maybe it will be better. :)

I'll check in tomorrow, though I do have to work! :) Talk to you all later!
