Daily Ooo's: Tuesday, February 4

That is how I want my day to go.
We ended up with a good 10 inches of snow yesterday. brutal! And now tonight is an even bigger storm coming in. 8-12, with significant icing. And yes, my dr's appt is smack-dab in the middle of it.I called yesterday to see what they do in snow storms and they said that they do everything possible to be there but they don't do re-scheduling until that day. :Cry:
Gary is a really good driver in the snow and he is telling me over and over that he'll get me there. I just can't handle any more stress.

Cait and I got to the supermarket and back with no problems. But I wasn't able to get to my job, so I am off to that today. But when my brain gets flippy, I have to keep moving. I scrubbed out my fridge, put stuff in the attic and shoveled the driveway 3 times.
I wonder how much I will get done today?

We have a delayed opening, which makes my day wonky to begin with..... hoping for some calm vibes!!!

good morning - my town looks like a winter wonderland. This is one of the few times that after a snow the wind has not come to blow all the snow off the trees. I made it to the game because of my train. There were lots of us Devils fans and these really sweet high school kids even remembered me from the last snow game we all went to. I love it when kids are willing to be friendly and talkative to adults. This evening did not end well. Devils let in a goal with less than 2 min to go in the game and then lost in OT. Riding home on the train was fun because as I was leaving I notice one of the coaches for the NJ Devils was on the train. It was the Devils goalie coach. That surprised me to see him on the train. But I had a good time at the game catching up with my son and DIL. She has been sick and spent some time in the ER on Tues. My son of course says nothing. She is still undergoing testing. But on a good note she game me her ticket today to an autograph signing at the Rock tonight. So that should be really fun. My DH met me at the train station and we had a beautiful walk home. I went to look out to see if I needed to fill feed - it was filled again and yes based on snow footprints I have determined that my nice next door neighbors are filling my feeder.

Chris I think we only got 8 inches. I do not want rain and ice on top of all this snow it will be a horrible mess. Good luck with everything tomorrow.

Morning ladies... brrrr!!! Its cold here this morning!! But that means that the sun will be out later today. I got up with DH and made us both a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, it was nice and warm to start off this cold day!

Chris - I am thinking of you dear friend as you approach your dr. appt. and keeping my fingers crossed that the weather cooperates for you and you do not have to reschedule!! Keep yourself busy, so that you do not have to think about it so much! (easier said than done I know) Love your little tip for the day... who knew?? LOL

Nancy - Wow you are one determined hockey fan!! Glad that you made it to your game and I bet it is so pretty with the snow all over the trees!! I love that look!! How nice that the kids were talkative and that you had a beautiful walk home with your hubby! What nice nieghbours you have, filling up your bird feeder like that!!

Vicki - Hello Momma "O" how nice to see your smiling face here in the daily's!! Hope you decide to stick around and join us more often! I know Chris will be so happy that you are thinking of her!!

Well I am going to try to do a bit more scrapping today, got a layout done yesterday and even got a standing "O" for it Had a beautiful photo to work with so that makes it so much easier to get done! Hoping to start on some of the challenges today! Enjoy the day my friends, I hope that the weather improves for all of you!! Seems we are going to get winter's cold breath for the rest of this week, so I am staying put and keeping warm at least for today. :wave:

Nancy, sorry about the Devils. For me, baseball season has started. The equipment truck left for Arizona Friday (but didn't take me with them?) and should arrive today. Pitchers and catcher report in a week. Then they'll call it spring training. Does anyone know what that word spring means?

i was SOOO fuming with the dishwasher repair guy. :rant: get this: the part costs $48. the TRIP FEE is $75, and the labor is $60. so, almost $180 to have the latch on my dishwasher fixed. if i decided NOT to go through with the repair, i still would have had to pay the $75 trip fee. i told the guy that i could drive to New York City and back for that amount of money. everything is JUNK these days, and to get anything fixed costs a fortune. as does buying a NEW piece of junk. this country has gone mad. maybe my next dishwasher will be me. stop the world, i want to get off....

Just making a quick drive though the O's today! :kev: <-- when did we get that guy? First time I have ever noticed him!

Not much on my agenda today, no snow still here and I'm okay with that! I have therapy in the morning and a doctor appointment in the afternoon tomorrow. Originally they were calling for snow here today (that was last week) but it has somehow changed to all rain on the radar for us! I'm tired of all forms of precipitation and would like some sunshine please, Maui sounds good!

Tips for Tuesday -- I'm sure I had one until I read the whole bit about goldfish laxative which at that point I lost it! Bwahahaha....that's hilarious!
