Good Morning everyone! I am starting the chatter this morning as I am sure that Chris has got her feet up and hopefully is feeling good after her surgery! Sending you lots of pain free wishes this morning Chris!! :hug: Yesterday was such a beautiful day, with a ton of sunshine (I got a sunburn). I forgot to apply sunscreen before I left for my hike and my face and arms now have a lovely pink tone to them LOL. The temps were summer like and we all basked in the warmth of the sun while eating our lunch at the top of the mountain. It was a more difficult hike and we hiked over 12klm. Lots of uphill but that made for an easier descent down the mountain at the end LOL! One of the hikers had to be escorted back down after about 2klm he was having a difficult time catching his breath! He had returned to hiking a bit too early after a bout with Pneumonia, so our hike was a bit longer in time than we had all planned, but we were thankful that our fellow hiker was ok! That started a conversation about other hikers who had gotten into trouble healthwise in the past. One had to be airlifted by helicopter to the hospital after suffering a heart attack!! Yikes, thank goodness for cell phone coverage!! Anyway I slept like a baby last night after all that fresh air and enjoyed my outing with my fellow hikers!! Gearing up for the Birthday party here at Oscraps and hope to complete my page I started two days ago.

Felis - So glad to hear that your Aunt is home from the hospital and is feeling much better! I love your black cat Avatar and have had a couple of black cats in the past, we have had many cats in our lives and I have a soft spot for the ginger ones like my AVI, so many of our pets were ginger kitties I was heartbroken to lose each of them! Please send me some of your rain, we are already very, very dry here and if we don't get rain soon, we will be on water restrictions soon. Usually March and April are so wet, but not this year, it has been such a crazy weather year so far!

I am off to grab another coffee :cof3: then get my morning chores done, hopefully I will get my scrapping all done and then perhaps make it outside (with sunscreen this time) and finish off raking the back. Have a wonderful day ladies and tomorrow will be the big start of the Birthday Bash, hope you are ready!! :wave:

Trudy, thanks so getting this thread going for Chris. Hope all went okay with her surgery yesterday. Will be keeping her in my thoughts.

Wow... that sounds like it was quite a hike yesterday! So sorry that one of the hikers had to escorted down. Glad there was cellphone coverage of the area. Oh, my... a sunburn!!! Seems like it is too early in the season for that!

We are having some rain today.... not heavy - just enough to make me want to stay in and snuggle under a throw and read the day away.

Hope everyone is gearing up for the Birthday Bash! Saw a lot of people got their wishes granted. What a great way to kick the Birthday celebration off.

Good morning, ladies. Thought today was Chris' surgery day. I guess I was off by a day. I hope she is home with her foot up and being pampered by her family.

I've not been online half as much as I used to and I'm enjoying it. I'm scrapping more, going out jogging with Taz and reading a lot. It's been really good for me. We got the all-clear to start bringing up Taz and Noel (Jen's cat) to visit B so we'll start bringing him with us which she is going to love.

I booked a table at a scrapbook garage sale in mid April and then will stay for the 12 hour scrapbook crop (I'll make some cards). Haven't done that in about 5 yrs. Looking forward to it. They meet once a month so I might start joining them sometimes. It means I'd better start going thru my scrap supplies and figure out what I want to sell, what I'll keep and what needs replacing.

So that's whats been happening with me lately.

Chris - sending lots of love and healing prayers to you. Hope you got lots of books to keep you occupied during the recuperation period.

Trudy - wasn't yesterday a gorgeous day? Your hike must have been wonderful. I'm heading to a new place early Sat morning (weather permitting) I've always wanted to go to but never got around to it. Finn Slough. Lots of old weather beaten cabins/homes and boats.

Kay - enjoy staying inside today and reading. I'm reading Lisa Gardner Never Tell and its hard to pull myself away from it. It's good.

I'm getting to work now. Hope you are all well. Talk again soon.

I hope you'll be able to get part at the O fun! And I hope that recovery period will force you to be at least little bit selfish and get some 'ME' time (I know how bad sounds this, but unfortunately it's true, you always put yourself on the last row)!



Trudy, to you send some rain. :rain: We'll have few rainy days, or to be correct nights, but the days are still very nice even gloomy. Hope this man from the hike to be alright! Wow, I just can't walk for so long, you are hero! I bet the nature is been gorgeous in it's Spring wake up. But still wow, this is too long.

Ughh, you can't imagine how hard is for me to keep my mouth shut and to not push you forward to get new cat. :shock: You are such a lovely family, someone will be so blessed with you. I didn't say it out loud, I'm trying to accept your choice. :tape::boom:

Rae, I'm so relieved to hear that Noel is in good shape. I remember you was told us he have some health problems because of the age. Hope the pets will help to B and jollify her! You are so right, sometimes is so good to step back from the screen and to do something with your hands. Especially into the warm seasons.

Kay and Sharon :wave: , the O party with sure will be spectacular!
