Hey there and hello!
Are my O's having a magnificent day so far? It is only 6 am here, so it is too early to tell. I think it is going ok. :cof3: It was really cold yesterday but you can tell that the sun is so much stronger and the days are longer. Both of those things help my mood a lot. Cait and I had a silly morning together at the Drs and we also talked a bit about her career path. She is at the point where she needs to figure out what she wants to do after she graduated next year and she really doesn't know. It took Scott a long time and many changes in his major but he is really happy where he is at (minus the Chem!). She hasn't had the same level of variation as he did but still hasn't found the "right" one. We talked a bit about her maybe working with therapy animals. Training and/or matching them with people in need. Personally, I think she would be amazing at that but she has to figure out if it is something that she wants to do. And then how to go about doing it!

Today I have a pre-Admin testing phone appt, then the food pantry, then cleaning in the afternoon. Long day ahead.

Hi Kay- that is too bad about not getting a picture in your RH outfit, hopefully, next time! You timed the rain perfectly :rain: I honestly cannot tell you how jealous (but happy for you too!) I am that you are seeing new growth. We are still covered by lots of snow. It is never going away... *groans*
I was able to get a good deal on printer ink on Amazon. Maybe that could save you a trip.

Trudy- How was the hike? Fresh air in the lungs... also very jealous of that!
Mocha's surgery went well. My niece texted and called Caitlyn a bunch of times with updates. She is all stitched up and eating and drinking which is a really big deal for tiny animals like rats. They have a hard time metabolizing the anesthesia so that is important.
Ugh that your Gary's mirror is falling too. Cait isn't super-comfortable driving on a good day so if it fell when she was going back and forth to school, she would have an anxiety attack.
Yesterday afternoon there was a fatal accident on the road that both kids travel on every day. A 19 yo and a 17 yo pronounced dead at the scene. One was from my town, the other the town next to us. And how much do you want to bet they weren't wearing seat belts? :(

Sharon- It is always crazy at my house!LOL Is it strange having the house quiet after all of the chaos you had last year?

Hugs to all of you, hope you are all well! xoxo

Up early today. Have the Senior Lunch at the church today. Just finished putting the fruit salad together (red/green grapes, mandarin orange slices, nectarine, apples, pineapple, blueberries and yellow bell peppers). Need to hop in the shower as soon as the temp is up abit. While I am waiting for the house to get warm enough, I'm busy enjoying my coffee and :ranger:. Looks like FB is finally back up. Now maybe I can upload my layouts there.

Chris, so sorry that you are still dealing with snow and icy roads. Glad you got some good talking time with Cait. Yes, deciding on a major is a big thing... but she can take 'must have's' core courses before she settles into a major. 3 of mine switched their majors as they found what they were interested in during their 2nd year. Good luck to her.

Sharon, I remember when the house became quiet when the kids left... or should I say... when we left them! DH got a job transfer and we moved away. Sure felt strange without the kids around.

Well, off to get my shower and dressed. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning ladies! I had a pretty good sleep for a change and did not get out of bed until 7:30. It is a nice morning with the temps above freezing for a change. It sounds like we will be getting our spring temps back this week and could even see record breaking temps by the weekend. Oh man the weather is sure going crazy!! Yesterday's hike was great! So nice to see everyone again and it was a good hike to catch up with everyone as there was not much change in elevation. It was more of a good long walk! It was just over 4.5 miles long. Not our longest hike for sure. Anyway, I was talking to a new lady on our hike, who used to be the president of the Art Society here in the valley and she was telling me that it will be next to impossible to sell my paintings locally. She said the market is completely flooded and even the best Artists in the area have a terrible time selling their pieces. They have more luck online, so she highly recommended I do that. I heard back from the Coffee Place yesterday also and the first opening for me to display my paintings there is December 2020!! Gheez Louise that's a long time away! Not sure how to answer the email, do I say ok or not?? :noidea: Today I get my haircut and colour and I am looking forward to having that done! No facetime with Heather and boys today, they have friends over for a play date, so that makes me happy that they will be having fun with friends today!

Chris - Glad to hear that the sun has been out where you live, but sorry that the temps are still not so great! That is so tragic that there was such a bad accident in your area, those poor families!! It breaks my heart! Hard to imagine that they would not be wearing seatbelts?? It seems that it would just be an automatic thing these days at least it is here! Heavy fines if you are caught without your seatbelt on!! Hope that they were not texting and driving, that is one thing that is getting so bad here! Distracted driving is a real problem! How nice that you and Cait talked about her future plans! I hope that she figures it out! Heck I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! :becky: Jason always knew he wanted to join the military and found the career he loves! Heather never got the chance as she got sick during her last year of high school and her life changed forever! She hopes to take some kind of courses to find a part time job that she can perhaps do at home. I hope that she will accomplish that!

Sharon - It is hard to adjust to an empty nest! I feel the emptiness each time my kids and grands leave after a visit home! Enjoy your visit with your daughter and at least your other daughter lives close to you! You are lucky!

Kay - Your fruit salad sounds yummy! I bet there are no leftovers! Glad that you were able to get back on to facebook. DH was telling me that it was down, I was not the computer much yesterday so did not realize it. I started a page yesterday evening so hope to get that finished and posted sometime today too!

Well I have a few things to get done around the house before heading to the hair salon. Should stop into the grocery store and pick up a couple of things I need for supper tonight too. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

Chris- you are so right- last year was pure chaos at my house with everyone home (3 kids) plus an extra dog! It is very different! Snow- wow- we just get rain and more rain. The dogs ruined the back yard.

Trudy- 2020 it does seem like a long time, but it will be here before you know it! 4.5 miles is quite a hike!

Kay- oh I love fruit salad! sounds yummy. Have a great day

Not much going on here. DH is still home, but working from home, so I listen to him on the phone all day! Was going to take a walk, but it looks like rain.

Have a great day O's.

good day - I am home alone with just Luther. My DH has been on spring break and was actually staying home to try to get well ( he has a sinus infection viral so no antibiotics). Today he needed to be back. Had fun at dinner with my girlfriend. Nice to catch up. Tomorrow I am having at late breakfast with another girlfriend. Nice to be getting back to some normal life. After breakfast I am getting my hair cut and colored. Yea! Well my poor Devils. They played the Calgary Flames on Tuesday and lost 9-4. I was sad. The Flames are good. Then last night they played the Edmonton Oilers and won 6-3. You just never know how the games will go. But I am happy to see the win.

Chris hope the pre-Admin phone call went well. Glad the surgery went well and she is healing well. Good luck with cleaning. Don't tire yourself out. My oldest always knew he wanted to be a Marine but my youngest whew it took him years to figure out what he was good at and to find a job that matched his talents. I am sure that Cait will figure it out.

Kay you seem to be so busy and that is pretty cool! Your fruit salad sounds yummy! Did you get hit by the wind storms from the snow bomb? Saw Colorado got hit.

Trudy glad you had such a nice hike! How nice to meet some one new! So sorry about the bad news about artists in your area. So go online and set up your Etsy store. How fun for Heather's boys to have a play dates.

Sharon it is quiet when everyone is gone. I like to have conversations but I do have to say that I like the quiet too, a lot.

Have a great day all!
