Sure it snowed in New Jersey, but it's still getting closer to Spring.
13 Days to go!

Yup, it snowed alllll day yesterday. It only added up to a couple of inches but still. And more is on its way this weekend. Bah humbug.
At least I was busy with lots of chores all day so I didn't have all that much time to stare out the window and curse. I was able to pay all my bills except the electric bill. I contacted them again, looking for some help with the assistance program. I contacted someone at the State Level (a different person than the week before) asking for help getting the application moving and still haven't heard back after giving them all of my information again. This is the last ditch effort. I have run out of people to call or email.
Scott and Cait had their friend Sam over for dinner and it was really nice hearing her tell stories about her brother and laugh. (for anyone new who doesn't know: my kids' best friend's brother was killed in a car accident in Sept which set off a large domino effect- ended with her breaking her engagement to Scott's best friend who was in turn cheating on her with Scott's GF of 9 years -- who was also *her* BF. Can't make this s*** up)
At any rate, it was nice to see her talk about her brother and laugh. He sounds like he was a character and a half.

I have a few things to do around the house today plus Cait gave me some of the info I needed for her taxes. I also have to keep working on my nephew's b-day album. I have 10 pages to go and at the rate that I scrap it will take another year or two to finish it. LOL

Wishing all of you a happy and warm day!

I hope everyone is doing okay!! I have to admit I'm a little overwhelmed trying to keep up with commenting and what not but I really wanted to pop in today and say hi!!

It's much milder here today, although breezy, but that's moving the clouds along nicely and I can see some blue sky and sunshine peeking through at the moment. It felt like spring at school as there was a team of staff working on the grounds and cutting the grass etc. and the daffodils are sprouting, also saw green leaves on the Willow trees in the Park ❤️

Stonking headache today though as I had a late night and Mackenzie got up at 5.30 ish this morning, too early and my poor head can't seem to recover from it!!

Working on some fun paper packs at the moment for the March Color Play, I've been having fun working with Collage and manipulating vintage papers etc layers glorious layers inspired by nature and our longing for Spring ❤️

@faerywings so sorry to read about all of that tragedy, life is like that sometimes - so complicated (and sad and cruel)

Those poor people in Ukraine . . heartbroken yesterday watching the news about the Maternity/Childrens hopsital that was bombed despite a ceasefire deal :( :( :(

Well I suppose I had better get back to it for a little while the little ones are at school/nursery, I have about one hour left of this peace and quiet he he.

Take care everyone and have a good day

@Lynn Grieveson It stayed cold enough where I am in the mountains to be more snow than sleet, and yeah I am the same. Snow is much better than ice. The pics of the govt running around catching snowflakes is so cute!
Oh no! That stinks about the photoshoot. *fingers and toes crossed that you stay healthy*

@BrightEyes I was teasing Scott again about how happy I was that he didn't take the job at The Great Swamp that was over an hour away. I am so happy he is staying local, gas prices just being one of the reasons.
I'd love to see more of your jewelry when you come across pics of them. You are very artistic and talented! And ITA-- Linda's family is the best, I don't think I would be able to take Decker back temporarily, it would break my heart. I am so happy for him that he has her.

@taxed4ever Any updates with the pool? I hope that you can get back swimming again soon. Smart of you to skip the far away hike, I am sure you aren't the only one taking gas prices into consideration Who knows, maybe an upside to all of this will get the world to rethink fossil fuels and reduce the issues with climate change.
Walruses are very cute in the large roly-poly way :) Can you take the photo of Poochie and turn it into a "sticker" image for printing?
Raynauds definitely makes it harder to be in the cold which is why I am always amazed that Scott can do it. His feet are usually weirder shades of purple than mine are. I guess when he hikes, he is prepped with wool socks and base layers under his jeans. I still think he is nuts

@Cherylndesigns did it warm up for you at all? The sun is out right now so I am hoping that even with the air being very cold the sun will melt a lot of the snow. Do your dogs do the Zoomies when they get out of the bath? W tears around the house and then rolls all over the sofa or bed then zooms around again.
Good luck with Chuck and the new phone. But be happy is his much more tech-savvy than my mom. I tried helping her with something on hers last weekend had to give up.LOL
I hope that and Adrienne ahead a good visit together and that perked you up a bit.

@felis what a funny dream, I miss @nancyr too. It is so funny that she took us to a hockey game :D
I am hoping that I will see some of my flowers in a few weeks. Please share your new crochet projects with us soon!!

@LSlycord we are thrilled to have you pop in whatever time you can!
When we adopted the Husky sisters a looooong time ago, it was really hard to give them up even though it was really hard to do that. I came to terms with it by realizing that we were the necessary stepping stone for them to find their perfect families. It sounds like you are doing that too- and I am proud of you and your family. It can't be easy on you. big hugs and love

love to you all!

Good morning, girlies.

It' 55 right now! Looks like it's going to dip back down tomorrow and Saturday, then the highs will be in the high 60's and going up into the 70's next week. I've definitely found out that it's cold weather that makes my shoulder/arm start aching again! UGH. I do so well when it's warm - then boom! Hopefully, it won't be this way forever.

Chris, @faerywings it's so nice to hear that Sam was over and the kids could laugh (to keep from crying on some of it???) again. That had to be nice to hear, even if it brought up bad memories - just curse them out, girl! Sorry you're having trouble with your electric bill. I love it when I have to tell the same story to 5 different people and still get no results.

Chuck is having fun with his new phone - he's having trouble with the "no home button" but I had trouble getting used to that, too. He's so heavy-handed and I told him he has to have a lighter touch. Hahaha He's like a bull in a china shop. We played with it some this morning and I've helped him get all the settings right. I just showed him how to get a picture on the background. and he got so excited when it worked! He went from an iPhone 7 to an 11, so it's a huge difference and a bigger phone. He's actually pretty techy - he just gets impatient. He's the TV tech guy - I "don't do" TV's. We have all these apps on our TV now and he's the app master. He got all geeked because we get Apple TV free for 3 months with his new phone. Hahaha One more app to add to the mix.

Rachel @Rachel Jefferies it's nice to see you in here - like Chris said, pop in whenever you can. We love seeing you and know how busy you must be! I can't even imagine and 2 little ones besides all of your other work.

Trudy @taxed4ever yay for getting to go to the pool! Enjoy!!!

I'm going to go refill my coffee cup now and pop over to the gallery. Hugs to all and to everybody who pops in here later.

Oh, Chris @faerywings your daily countdown picture made me giggle. :)

Good morning ladies. Had a good time at Reifel yesterday. That was the first time I went during the week (normally I would be working on a weekday). It was interesting to discover that it was busier than I expected, a lot of serious photographers were there along with a lot of retired folks. I never thought about it but of course weekdays would be a better time to go b/c there would be less people than a weekend and definitely less kids who can be noisy and disturb the peaceful atmosphere. It wasn't a great day for pics b/c of the cloudless sky but I enjoyed it nonetheless and got some photos I liked. It was a bit sad to think I probably will never be back again. Kamloops experience will be quite different. There will be a lot of areas to explore but spread out all over Kamloops and the neighboring areas. I will never get to hike them all, there are so many, but the dogs and I will certainly do our best. Definitely, my landscape photos will be more varied than here. The computer is now packed away (selling the desk today) and will use a smaller desk when we move as I won't need 2 PCs and 3 monitors. Any scrapping I do for the rest of the month will be on my laptop and will use my camera phone pics to keep it simple.

D and Jen went to drop off another load at the dump and I'm watching Bella for her. When they get back I'll get started on the basement again.

I'd better go, Bella and Remi are barking at each other so I need to go calm their energy down. BFN

Can't believe that I got caught up in reviewing photos I have on my computer this morning ... It all started because Chris asked me to post any photos of jewelry I had made. I found a few photos... but got so caught up in looking at the photos that 3 hours went by before I realized it!!! Ah, the memories :p:D.... I had to laugh at some of them, smile over more of them, and have to admit to shedding a few tears over some - especially those with DH, Mom, Dad and my sister who are all gone. And then I got distracted making a LO for Rachel's Mixed Media Challenge. o_O  :D At least I did get her LO made and posted so the day wasn't a total loss. I had planned on running a couple of errands today but it is too late in the day now. And we have snow in the forecast for this evening and maybe through tomorrow.

I would love to, once when I get back to crocheting. As with scraping I wasn't in mood to do anything new for a long time (nothing after my last photo shared here, I think it was in January?!).
As we had lots of troubles at our extended family and my mood was very minor.

Good evening ladies. I feel like there is nothing that happens now. I work and I go to bed and then I repeat. I am dreading the "springing forward" this weekend. I am looking forward to having more daylight in the evening but I sure am not looking forward to getting up earlier. Shaun took Decker to a vet who specializes in ophthalmology. The vet said that he doesn't think Decker has sight problems which is good. Syd and I head over to Gainesville tomorrow night so that we can check out the location of the different dorms on campus. We will eat dinner and then get up early and wander around the campus. We will leave around 1:00 and come home so that Brian and I can jump in the car and head to Orlando for Billy Joel. It's outside at a football stadium and the temps are expected to drop to 44*. I guess I'll be taking my winter coat. LOL Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to it!

@faerywings I think that I am kind of seeing our stop for Decker the same way...as a stepping stone. He needed someone to help him understand what a family was. And to convince a family that Decker is worth the time! I still keep my fingers crossed for the next week. I bet that you and the kids had a good time seeing Sam.

@Rachel Jefferies don't worry...I can't keep up with all of the conversations either. But I am so glad that you and @Lynn Grieveson are popping in every once and awhile. It makes it feel like I really "know" you.

@taxed4ever I'm so glad that you are able to swim again. Because of this little cold spell we are having, I think my swimming may be about 2 weeks away. I'm ready though!

@Cherylndesigns I love to hear about Chuck's enjoyment of the new phone. And I agree...I don't do TV either. The other night, I texted Shaun to come downstairs and fix my TV. Ughh.. Hope that the cool weather is over after this weekend and your shoulder starts filling better.

@BrightEyes it sounds like the photo review was a very nice walk down memory lane! I can lose all track of time when I get into the computer.

@bcgal00 I saw your beautiful bird photos on Facebook. They were stunning!

@felis I hope that things turn around for your family soon and that your creativeness returns soon.
