Hello, O-zies. Can you believe that we are halfway through the party? Today is Day 7!
How was your day yesterday? I was out for much of the day and then needed to be with Jaida. I was able to do a little commenting in the Gallery and am blown away by the fab pages there.

My grocery order was messed up and things I knew I had in my cart - at one point- didn't make it into the final order. I decided based on the way my day started that I was going to head right out to shop, then mammo, hit one or two stores on the way home, and be done. Shopping was mostly a bust, mammo was a pain in the bust (get it? punny! LOL), and by the time I got home, I was toast.
Jaida started to put a little weight on her back leg and wants to jump on the sofa even though she is totally off balance. We aren't letting her of course. She lets us work on the PT exercises up to a point and then you can see she is saying "no more."

I'm cleaning for my friend this morning and then home to take care of J in the afternoon. If I have it in me, I'll bake pecan pie bars and pop them in the freezer. We'll see. I was awake again at 4.30 so I am on fumes.

Have a fantastic day!

@vickyday You know that Jaida is out of it when the Amazon delivery person doesn't make her jump at all. Rambunctious is a good word for her.
And how are you feeling, did the headache/IBS ever go away? Hope so!

@taxed4ever how festive that you and your Gary when on the Christmas hike together. Was Hunter able to make it to the concert? Hope he was all better.
Yes, ma'am, I do have several Christmas songs stuck in my head. :lalala:

@BrightEyes Hope that you felt well enough to get everything done that you needed to do.

@Cherylndesigns have you scrapped the pictures of Ava yet? Or just in your head so far?
I had a heart attack checking in at the breast center. I had called Atlantic Health before I made the appt. They accepted my insurance under the regular hospital/medical center, it was the breast center that wasn't listed. The person I spoke with said that if my insurance is accepted in general, it covers all the departments. I handed in all of my IDs and the receptionist is having trouble with my insurance card. She had to cal over a supervisor and they finally got it accepted into the system, But for a few minutes, I was thinking Oh Crap!

@tanteva Oh no! Feel better!!

Had to laugh at your pain in the bust pun!
Sounds like J is getting back to her antics.....or trying!
Take a nap today!

Hi Buddy!!!
Still have a slight headache and coughing. Some nausea. Mark came home sick yesterday. I think we have picked up a bug from somewhere. Ilene and I were supposed to go to COSTCO today, but I reneged because I don't want to take a chance on giving her something. She is already fighting with something! We don't need to be hanging out together right now! Like it or not!

Good Morning,
Not up to much activity today. A bug has bitten the Whittemore household. However, after coming home early yesterday, Mark got up feeling much better today! We both stayed home from church last night, however. I think I need a "checkup from the neck up" as my dad would say! Except I've been nauseous off and on, too. Who knows!

Hope you all are doing much better than I am!
HAGD!

Awake again at 3AM... took awhile to go back to sleep! UGH!!! Don't like that at all. Maybe it is caused by going to sleep too early (9:30 PM). Will try to stay awake later tonight and see if that breaks the cycle.

I got most of the errands done yesterday. Came home with 7 DVDs - now I need to get them into the inventory. I didn't get gas so that is on my agenda for today along with a stop at the bank. I missed a call from DD#1 - who said she would call back today. My new Covid test kits arrived... just need to stop by my neighborhood PO Boxes and pick those and my mail up. Mailman was late delivering yesterday. Heard on the news that RSV cases (both kids and seniors) and flu cases are on the rise here in the last couple of weeks. Seeing a lot more people (along with me) wearing masks again. And the scam calls have started rising again. Got 1 about a 'new' Medicare card - reported it to government... and another one supposedly from "my son" - but used the wrong name. This is an old scam but seems to be going around again. Didn't let them finish their spiel before I hung up. Normally I don't answer but was expecting return calls from a couple of people.

Just got Day 7 challenge LO posted around digi-land. Yes, Chris @faerywings ... it is hard to believe we are passed the halfway point on the 12 Days of December event! I am hosting Day 12 challenge which will keep me busy once it arrives. Glad J is improving. Sorry about the mix-up on your grocery order. And had to LOL over the 'pain in the bust' comment.

@tanteva Sure hope the fever burnt out whatever it was that had you down.

@vickyday - Yes, there seems to be a lot of sickness going around. You are wise to not be with others while it is going on. Sending healing thoughts to you and your DH.

@taxed4ever Hope you and DH had a nice hike yesterday. I admire that you are still going on them when the weather is colder.

Need more coffee then get my shower and get dressed. HAGD

Good Thursday morning ladies! I can't tell what kind of a day it is out there yet, it is still too dark outside. DH and I had a great time on the hike yesterday, there were 26 of us on the hike and over 30 for the Christmas luncheon! They always put on a slide show of all the hikes we have done over the year, it was great to see some of the ones that did not get to go on and to remember the ones that I did! It was perfect weather for the hike, not too warm, but not cold either and the sun even came out for us for a bit. Then we headed down to the In-Laws and had a good visit with them. FIL needed help with some computer issues and with his Prime Video (I have fixed that for him numerous times lol). He just can't seem to leave the settings alone and it infuriates MIL to no end. Oh well it is working again for the time being :giggle4: . Just before we headed home, my Gary ran back up to the Bar and Grill where we had our lunch and ordered fish and chips for his parents for their dinner. They were thrilled and thanked us over and over again. We had gone together with SIL Linda for a Christmas gift for MIL and FIL, delivery of meals from Heart to Home meals. They have delicious meals all prepared and frozen and deliver them right to your door. Well I ordered a bunch of meals for them and requested that they be delivered to our home and not to theirs as we did not want the delivery to be before Christmas. Anyway the company phoned them and told them that they would not be able to deliver to them until Saturday. There goes our surprise for Christmas!!! :rollingpin1:WTH!!! Why did they contact them and not me!!! Nothing we can do about now, MIL and FIL were very happy with the gift though :wehaveawinner:. Hopefully they will like the meals and continue on getting them for themselves!
Today will be more Christmas Card making and more Calendar pages worked on and a layout for day 6 and maybe day 7. The days are flying by and I still have some gifts to get out to the family. There just are not enough hours in the day.

@faerywings - You had a busy day yesterday, but sounds like Jaida is doing well and that you are taking very good care of her! Sorry your grocery order got messed up! Hope the cleaning goes quickly and that you get your pecan bars made, they sound yummy!! The restaurant had sticky toffee pudding for desert yesterday, but DH and I were good and did not partake in that. We have both been watching the scale go up a bit with all the Christmas parties and goodies. I don't want to go down that road again!! I have been sitting far too much and need to get back into an exercise routine again. Perhaps in the New Year?? I am not sure if Hunter made it to his Christmas Concert or not, we did not get a chance to talk with Heather yesterday as we left early for the hike, but will most likely find out today.

@tanteva - glad to hear that you are feeling better and hope you can get back into a regular sleep schedule again soon!

@vickyday - Oh dear it sounds like you have picked up some kind of nasty bug!! Take care of you!! Good idea to not see Ilene for a bit, but sure hope you are all feeling much better soon! :hug2:.

@BrightEyes - Uggh on getting up so darn early! We have been going to bed earlier these last few nights also and find that we are awake a lot during the night. Its hard to try to stay up late, but I think that is probably the reason for the bad sleeps! Tis the season for scammers that is for sure! We get several calls a day and don't answer unless I recognize the number. It is so infuriating :angry4:. Hope you are enjoying all the scrapping you are getting done I have some catching up to do!!

Time to bump the heat up and grab a second cup of coffee:coffeedrinker:I hope you all have a wonderful productive day! :elf2:

I'm in The Zone ~ The "O" Zone
CHEERY O
Good afternoon.

It's 61 here right now - I know it won't continue, but we do have fairly mild winters. We'll get a blast or two and I keep reading about El Nino whatever that's going to bring. The worst weather we had was a couple of years ago with that Polar Freeze. We got caught in that.

Chris @faerywings I have not scrapped the pictures of Ava yet but of course, they're in my head. :floorlaugh: The light was getting just a little low by the time they got here, so I had to go out and "scout out" the best light. I had them stand next to the big tree, with the mountains behind them. We think Ava is pretty serious about this new guy, I haven't said anything because it's Ava. LOL His name is Drake and he's Cherokee and SO cute. He just cut his hair - he had really long hair, just decided to get a lot of it cut off. It's not real short, but he couldn't wait to show me. I'll have to dig up the picture of the two of us with our long hair over our faces. We looked like 2 Cousin It's.

Sounds like Jaida is doing as well as expected. Poor thing - I'm sure she's thinking "just stop" when you do the PT. Is Whiskey being a good dog around her? What a scare you must have felt at the breast center. I hate when that happend! Glad they got it straightened out. It's a panicky feeling when you don't think your insurance is going to cover an expensive procedure! Whew!

I'm going to cut it short today - I want to get my Joyful Heart Designs December Challenge posted, along with the corresponding video.

Hugs to everybody and I hope all of you have a good day. :hug4:
