Does anyone else remember the April Showers Bring May Flowers rhyme? We have not had much in the way of april showers, with the exception of a few downpours. And the how cold it has been, I don't think we are going to have many May Flowers either. Dang, it was freezing yesterday. 40's and *windy* So not liking this. It is supposed to break 50 today so my fingers are crossed for that.

Crazy emotional roller coaster day for me yesterday. I started to cry in the SW's office. Which I hate. I pulled back on that and a few minutes later, I had to laugh. I literally had my body wrapped up too. Legs were crossed tight, arms crossed tight, head down...The only thing missing was the fetal position. I asked her, Are you reading my body language here? LOL
I swear, it was text-book classic!

Today I am off to tx, then working this afternoon. I wish I didn't have to, but after grocery shopping yesterday, I am down to my last $20. I know that all I have to do is say something to my parents and they will help, but I Just. Can't. Ask for More.

Catzilla is here and is saying hi to all of you, while she head butts me.

Temptation on Thursday:
Run away! hahahahah!!!!!!!

Quicke personals while I am still getting pushed around by a Fat Cat.

Phyllis- ugh about the grey days. Its cold here, but at least we have some sun. ITA -- if we don't get a summer here too I will LOSE IT!!!!

The PICC showering adventure is such a drag. I would get a different covering if I could find the paperwork on the one the hospital recommends. The one I got was $40 from a surgical supply place- and it should have lasted way more than it did. It doesn't make sense to spend that much for something that only works well for a few weeks. So saran wrap and rubber bands it is ;)
Yeah, the radiation is making more tired than usual. But only 2 more weeks!!!!!! :cheer2:

Sara- sorry to hear about more family drama. Just breathe and let it all go! (easier said than done!) What did you decide to do on your day off? We have a nice science center here in NJ that would be perfect for Ben.... just sayin' :p

Nancy- I am so jealous of your weather and your walking! Wish I could do that too!

Trudy- oh no! Were you able to get to talk to the dentist yesterday? Hope that you are not still in pain.
Yes, I started the Outlander series, I think I got up to book 4. My library doesn't have the next one, so I have to request it and I keep forgetting which one it is I need to ask for. I just re-read Shadow of Night, Book 2 in the Discovery of Witches series and am anxiously awaiting the third on sometime this year. And I started reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill- Stephen KIng's son and woooow-weeeee, he has his father's gift of creepy!!

Gentle hugs and chicken soup being sent to you Jean! Feel better!

xoxo!!!

good morning - woke up to 40 degree weather. Really! However they say it should be near 65 by mid afternoon. I just wish the wind would go away. My backyard neighbor and her daughter came over and we all agreed that they could take down the falling down fence that used to separate our yards. We had parts of the fence installed as we had a dog and he could not escape but since it has been 30 years and the fence has deteriorated it is nice of them to take it down. They are selling their house soon so this is a good fix up for us all. So funny went to pick up my car and just as I was about to be heading to the highway I got a warning message about low coolant and must get in for service. I had to go back and have my son fix it. He said it was just air in the lines but he took a lot of ribbing that his mom's car came back. It runs so smoothly now.

Chris I think it is wonderful that you have an unbiased non family member to listen and help you. Glad you are resting!

Phylis sorry your Pens are not doing well but I have to say I love the tenacity of those Blue Jackets. And example of heart and hard work or skill.

Trudy I hope your tooth is feeling better or if not go to the dentist! It should not be bothering you!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ladies!

I am enjoying the quiet at the moment and not being at work. :) I haven't even checked my school email yet. The museum where one of the (apparently closed to the public today) science "expos" is also has a 60 Days of science event going on with lots of stations with exhibits and such. So I think we will go out there and do that and see if we can sneak a peek at the science expo too. Then we have to pick up the house a little bit because Ben will have a friend coming over tomorrow and it's a busy three days. We have a baseball game tonight, then tomorrow I have a conference and go straight to pick up Ben and his friend from school. They will come back to the house and eat dinner and then we take them to go see Jeff Corwin (which Ben is so excited about). Saturday morning we will go to the public science expo at a different museum and then straight to another baseball game. At some point, I really need to go to the grocery store. Sunday is another baseball game. Fun times. LOL

Chris - I can't imagine the roller coaster you are on right now. Two more weeks has got to be a reassuring thought though. Why do things have to be so hard for the nicest people? Love you girl. :)

Nancy - It sounds like everyone has weather that can't make up it's mind huh? Maybe it will turn nice for you. Our fence is falling apart too. It's so nice the other people are cool about taking it down. Works for everyone!

Trudy - Annoying things those crowns when they don't work right. What did the dentist say? And I have the Outlander series on my TBR list. I have to get through some more kid things for school, but then I think that one might jump to the top of my adult list. :)

Jean - I hope you feel better soon! That kind of pain is annoying on top of being painful!!

Well, I think I am off to try and clean up a bit before Ben and I have to leave for the science thing. :) Have a great day gals!

Thanks for the kind words (and chicken soup)! Things seem to be progressing normally though I feel a bit like a zombie today.

Chris, always hoping your days are gentle to you.

Sara, I know you'll be enjoying being away from work.

Trudy, have you talked to the dentist?

Wishing you all a good day.

Morning everyone... It is :rain: again today!! I will never get all the weeds out of my garden!! Hubby is taking tomorrow off so that we can finally get the rest of our soil and yard work done! Hopefully the rain takes a break for us over the next few days.

Chris - I am late getting in here today because of the darn Outlander book that I just can't put down! You should try to get the next one as an Audio Book and then you can listen to it while you are working or while taking your nap! Glad you are enjoying your Joe Hill book, I am not the biggest fan of his father's work so probably would not like his stuff either. I am not into creepy LOL. Hope your PICC line cover fix works for the next few weeks, what a shame that you would have to pay so much for something that just won't last long enough to justify spending that much!! WTH is the matter with these companies???

Nancy - glad that your car is running smoothly again, your poor son getting teased aside! My poor hubby is getting a ribbing about his Bruins, there are so many Montreal Canadian Fans at his office. Well really they are Canuck fans, but since they are out of the picture they have jumped ship and gone over to the Dark Side :becky: Sure hope the Bruins give the Canadians a good spanking!!! Cheer loud for us!! :cheer2:

Jean - Sure hope you are feeling better now that your poor tooth has been removed!! Last night was my first pain free night and so far this morning I am feeling ok, but the minute it starts to bother me again I will be at the Dentist Office for sure!! I know that it should not be hurting anymore!! She would like to give me another cap on the opposite side of my mouth, but I think that will happen when pigs fly :flypig:

Today my DD is showcasing her Peek-a-boo-beans clothing in a fashion show! She was asked by the Optimist Club if she would do this fashion show with a few others in the area that also either make clothes or other accessories. Mason will be in the show with his Daddy carrying him and they have about 6 other you children in the show too!! I told her that there had better be lots of pictures!! Can't wait to share! Have a great day everyone!! Hope the sun shines on all of you today!!
