Tragi-comedy edition!
Our coffee pot died!!!!! I am distraught!!!!!! It was horrible, I woke up, went to get the coffee, and there was nothing brewed. I am pressing all of the buttons, the auto-brew settings were correct and... nothing!
There was no coffee, no coffee smell, the pot was cold as my poor, shriveled uncaffeinated heart and soul.
Thank goodness that we have many other coffee options available. I made a cup for me and Caitlyn with the Keurig and there is also instant coffee, a French Press, and a pour-over type pot thingy. But those are *not* good options when you first wake up. Way too much effort is needed.
I had a pretty decent day yesterday, shopping and cleaning went fine. My mom called to say that she made an appt with the pacemaker Dr so I am taking her there next Thursday and we can go over all of the scheduling and presurgery stuff. Huzzah!!!
Scott cooked dinner last night and afterward, we played a "new" game. We did a mashup of Pictionary and Cards against Humanity. Bwuahahah!!! The kids screened the cards again to make sure the really nasty cards were out of the deck as well as some of the ones that would be impossible to draw. We used the regular Pictionary board and general rules, we rolled two dice- one to move and the other to create All Plays. The kids beat us this time but it was really funny!! Gary called the game "Arts against Humanity."
Gary is off to the LLMD this morning, I am glad even if I wished he hadn't waited so long. He hasn't seen her in person since before the pandemic started, did a few phone visits, and then came off all the abx last Autumn. I understand needing a break from it all but I am concerned about how awful he is going to feel restarting them all.
(mutters selfishly- at the worst time of year no less ugh)
It's still so darn cold but is sunny and should get close to 60 so I might try to work outside a bit. At least there is sun
xoxo
