Hi there and good morning to you all. Who else wants (needs) some coffee?
#coffee-3
There ya go, nice and hot!
I am back into my weird sleep pattern where I wake up between 4-5 am most mornings. Sometimes I can get back to sleep, other times I just roll around and annoy the dogs. ;)

Mark it down, I survived another day of angst and agita. And I didn't have to hide in the Iron Maiden.*wink* I vented to my BFF instead and that helped. She gets it, between the stress of our kids not being settled and our parent(s) needing help, we feel very much pulled emotionally in all directions. Not that there is a darn thing either of us can do to support each other aside from listening but that really does help.
I pretty much walked around the house sighing deeply every few moments. We had a nice dinner together at least which always makes me feel happier.

Today is going to be warmer at least- I should be able to get out in the yard this afternoon. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer so my plan is to be outside as long as possible then so I'll catch up on my laundry today.

Temptation On Thursday:
Hide under the covers all day. Sounds *very* good to me :p
What are you tempted to do?

@Nonni F have you ever used apple cider vinegar on poison ivy blisters? I do that and it seems to help the itch and dry them out. Not a clue if it actually works or if I'm just timing it right and it's already clearing up on its own.
A hatchet!! You got a hatchet with markers. :rotfl:I was going to say that your life seems as wacky as mine, but you know what? You spent many years in the military and I bet you put my wackiness to shame.

@taxed4ever Can you get your Dr to prescribe Paxlovid or are you past the window to take it? My MIL and brother both said that really helped to get them over the worst of it.
I am soooo sorry that you are missing out on the memorial. Your Gary is feeling fine so far? *knocks wood and sends up stay healthy vibes* :sparkles1:
Take care!! xo

Good morning, Everyone!

@faerywings I definitely think the military gives you a very warped sense of humor and you find a entertainment in a lot of things a lot of society would frown upon. Sometimes me husband looks at me for laughing at things that no one else does. Like I'm one day away from a straight jacket. ...and he's probably not wrong. I belong to a Dysfunctional Veterans group that is nothing but memes and military humor. I'll read some things to my husband laughing my ass off and he just stares at me.

@taxed4ever I hope today is a better day. I don't know how I've made it all this time without getting it. Considered essential I never had a day off during the shut down, I work with the public and EVERYONE in my family has had it. I keep thinking that lab is going to come for me one of these days and start testing me. EEEK

I hope everyone has as good a day as possible.

Morning everyone... I am feeling semi human today, but still no energy and now I have lost my sense of smell and taste  . It is awful when you can't even taste the coffee you need in the morning! I was in bed last night at 8:30 last night and just got out of bed a few minutes ago 7:30am. Yikes, but at least I feel like I can breathe through my nose today. (where does all that mucus come from) Yuck!! We got a call from Aunt Marion's Daughter last night, they have had to cancel the internment and get together on Friday, seems her Father has to have eye surgery right away and it can't wait. So they will reschedule on another day. So It looks like I will hopefully be able to go after all. I am not sure how long it will be before I have to go and lay down again, so I will get some personals done, before the wave hits me again.

@faerywings - Glad that you got through your cleaning without crawling into the iron maiden!! :eek2:. Nice that you had your friend to listen to you vent, it is needed sometimes!! Thanks for the healthy vibes, they are much appreciated! Yes my Gary is fine so far and has tested himself a few times as he still has to go to work. Yikes that map of the transmission is still pretty scary! Covid is definitely still out there! :exitroom:. Stay away from it at all costs, you do not want this!! I think that I am past the point of having anti viral meds, my son was telling me about it too, but hopefully this will make my immune system even stronger against any further exposure in the future #dk who knows.

@Nonni F - I do hope that you continue to be immune to this!! You are a rare one that is for sure! I was so confident that I was going to make it through this pandemic without getting sick!! Silly me LOL. I hope they don't break down your door one day and take you away for testing LOL you must have some super immune system!! My DH was RCMP for 35 years and kind of has a warped sense of humour too, sometimes I just roll my eyes at what he says #crazy-2

@Cherylndesigns - Could your family come and tackle our backyard?? It has been so neglected, we need to get out there and clean up, but hard to do when you are sick and the rain never seems to stop long enough to get out there. Your garden will be so pretty this year!

Ok that is about as much as I can do today, so far anyway. The couch is calling me and I am feeling chilled again. :holysheep:will this ever go away?? Take care of yourselves today and stay healthy! :heartpumppink:

Trudy, we knocked that out in about an hour and a half with 5 of us out there. We're putting new mulch down this evening. We had so much fun and had the usual banter and antics. I'm glad you're feeling semi-human today. Hope this means you're on the mend. Hugs to you. :hug1:

Good afternoon all. I think that I'll play that I am in the central time zone and then it will still be morning!

Lots to catch up on...and to share. You may remember that a couple in Minneapolis wanted to look at our house and perhaps buy it a few weeks ago. Well, they sold theirs and they made a good offer on ours and we accepted. They want to close on 5/31. Oh my.

I think that we have settled on new construction that is about 13 minutes from the beach...an easy drive too. So we have an offer in and we will try to work through that by end of day tomorrow. It's smaller than this one but all on one level, 4 bedrooms and an office. So, mainly it will be a lift and shift. Still lots to get done between now and 5/31. Heading to UF Saturday to pick up more of Sydney's stuff and get it back home so that we can move it again! And this is me...:runningdog::multitasking:o_O

I told Ona and Chris that I may go a bit MIA. I'll do a thread tonight. I'm just not sure how many of my responsibilities I can get done this month. But a little bit of conversation with you girls will keep me sane so I won't be leaving you completely for the next few weeks.

@Su_Sanne did you get shingles? My mother said that they were the most painful thing she ever had (and she had breast cancer and lung cancer so she had some things to compare to.) I hope I mis-read. If not, be sure to get rest.

@Cherylndesigns hope the tornadoes stayed away from you. From looking at the map, I think that they did. Hope Roger is recovering nicely now.

@taxed4ever hope that you are making it through Covid...it looks like it is getting better. Just be sure to take it easy. No setbacks allowed right before the weather gets really nice!

@faerywings as ALWAYS, thanks for your support. Talk to you all later.

Sorry you had one of those days. Just breathe - and breathe some more. Glad you have a BFF to vent to. No, it doesn't look like covid is going away any time soon.

We had fun yesterday - our usual banter and silliness as we worked. With Roger and Braden helping, it went fast. We call Roger "One Armed Willie" and that man can get more done with one arm - he's like the Energizer Bunny. We're laying new mulch this evening - if it isn't pouring rain. It's supposed to, so maybe we can get it done. Then I'll take some pictures. I took some last evening, and can't wait to see the mulch.

Linda, you have so much on your plate and now if you're considering building, I can see why you might need some time off. The tornadoes missed us again, thankfully. We had thunderstorms last night and have had very high winds, but we frequently get that, living so close to the mountains. Please stay in touch with us and let us know how you're all doing and what you're doing. Hugs to all of you.

Good Evening!
Got back home today around 6 p.m. Wonderful trip! We saw "Moses" at Sight and Sound in Strasburg, PA. We also went to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.

I finished my antibiotic on Tuesday morning. I have been feeling much better! Thank You, Lord!

We about froze our buns off in PA this week! It was cloudy and windy! Of course we woke up to a much warmer and beautiful day today! But at least it was nice for our traveling home!

Now to clean up my email!

Have a great evening!
