Happy weekend to all who celebrate. :/
I am running on empty. Plain and simple burned myself out. I am 100% not surprised, no one should be. I do this to myself every time.
It will all come together as long as I don't do what I did last night. I was so exhausted and sore from being on my feet all day that by dinner time, I was dropping things left and right. Measured out parmesan cheese for the chicken -- spilled half of it all over the clean counter, front of the dishwasher, and the floor. Scooped the wet dog food onto the dry-- managed to splatter it everywhere other than *in* the dog dish. Hahaha! I was toast!

Oh no! That reminds me of one more task. As I typed that last section, I thought to myself, "Good thing I wasn't washing anything fragile."
I still need to wash the wine glasses! :thud:
They hang over the island and they get dusty and greasy when I use the griddle.

On a positive note, I was able to get the shopping done yesterday and didn't have to go far down the highway. And it didn't flood in the area where I live.
Did you see the pictures from NYC? :holysheep: The shore was also really bad. Caitlyn works east of here and said the roads were flooded in some areas too. She had us cracking up with this story. One of her students emailed to ask if she could make her appt virtual instead of in-person due to the weather. Cait had been hearing about a lot of the roads being in bad shape and the school has a lot of commuters, so she said not a problem, we can do it Virtual. The student logs on and Caitlyn realizes she is in the dorms. :rotfl: She didn't want to walk across campus in the rain! Can't say I blame her.

I am cutting my rambling short today. I am literally allllll over the place and not making *any* sense. Not even to myself
I need to get myself cleaned up and start cooking. And wash the wine glasses. I should do that first so I don't break them all.

Have a wonderful day

@LSlycord I know what you mean, the rain and mud and general grossness of the weather sucks.
Yay for you! :cheer: I am proud of you for making such an effort to get out there and meet new people. Believe me, I get that it isn't easy. Yesterday I signed up for a hike in town in Oct. And I am sticking with CCrew. Some of the women there go to a County Sponsored Seniors' Breakfast and/or a Lunch and Movie. I am not sure if I am considered a senior, some places are at 55, others are 60+. Have a fun time at the theater!
And Bunco... What exactly is Bunco? I know most of the PTA moms play that but I have no clue what it is.
Yes, Scott seems very happy in the new place. He and Sam have been cooking dinners together and he loves not tripping over all of Gary's clutter haha. He has met a few of the neighbors (and their dogs!) and his landlord seems pretty cool too.

@vickyday So happy that you saw the sun! Good to know it is still out there. LOL!
I can't eat/look at steak but the smell of grilled burgers makes me hungry. Personally, I'll take a chicken sandwich and double up on those croissants and honey butter. Must have been delish!

@Cherylndesigns I am really really really aggravated that I haven't had time to scrap, the CPs are *outstanding.* How many LOs did you end up making?

@BrightEyes I am glad for you that the vax got pushed off, I am sure you needed to catch up on your rest after being so busy the last few weeks.
I know, no one is going to white glove my house. They know better, it will come up with more dog hair than anyone wants to see LOL! It's more for me and my own irritating quirks. I guess because my house is rundown and shabby, I want it to be Super Duper Clean to compensate. If that makes sense.

Time to get in the kitchen.

The last day of September is here!!! Been so wrapped up in Color Play that I forgot that tomorrow will be October 1st with all the new challenges in the forum... :bowdown2: Always love the start of a new month with challenges to get the creative juices flowing. And DSD is right around the corner. That is a lot to look forward to in the next few days. So glad my Covid booster is not until Tuesday so I might be able to create a LO or two before I get it.

I got side-tracked yesterday and didn't get the laundry sorted. That is at the top of my list of things to do as I am running out of clean 'unmentionables' and sleepwear not to mention shorts/tops. I let Jim and Alyn do their laundry so mine took a backseat while they were here.

Just got word that a favorite niece and friend will be visiting the end of October. Will be so nice to see her again and meet her friend. Been over a year since I have seen her.

@faerywings Hope you were able to get the wine glasses washed without any of them breaking. Yes, I have had days like you had where nothing seems to go right. So glad your area didn't flood like NY and parts of NJ.

Good Afternoon.....already???
Mark and one of his good friends are heading out for a bike ride soon. I'm going to scrap some more bike pages from this month. We have been on the bike more this month than the rest of the year, I think! It has been great! The friend he is riding with today just bought the Goldwing our pastor and good riding friend sold when he bought the new-to-him trike bike! B wants to "practice" before he takes his wife along, LOL! All he has had up until buying the Goldwing is a "crotch rocket" and they do handle differently! For one thing the Goldwings are heavy! That's why, if they start leaning too far you can't keep them from going on over! We know that from experience, LOL! :motorcycle::motorcycle::motorcycle:

Mark and I spent some time at the pits after we got back from, once again, riding the bile to supper.....Applebee's this time. He was hoping to get their unlimited wings deal, except it ended a couple of days ago.

That's about it for me today. I'm dealing with a headache today and trying to keep it manageable. So that may determine how much bike scrapping I get done!

Have a good day!

Good morning ladies. Wish us luck on the open house today. I'm not very hopeful b/c nothing seems to be selling here right now but you never know. The contract in Calgary was extended until mid Oct so there is still a chance if we sell soon. Yesterday was tough, getting thru Bailey's birthday. Miss that girl so much and it hits hard on her b-day.

Today we'll go to the dog park during the open house. Not even sure if anyone will show up but...fingers crossed. I still haven't taken care of travel plans for the trip in a few wks so next wk for sure. D and I decided to cancel our South America trip in Feb. My heart is just not in it right now. We'll book it eventually but not now.

I'll be around more next week. Have a good wkend.

Good afternoon my lovelies.

Another beautiful day here and it's already 86. Will it ever cool down? I did end up going out yesterday. Adrienne called me about 3 and asked me how soon I could get ready to go run errands. (That means going into town to the boutiques LOL) I told her 20 minutes. She made it 30 which worked for me. Roger gets home this afternoon, so it was our last hurrah. Oh, I ended up getting some of those new "step in tennis shoes". I had been seeing them advertised and wanted to try them. They really work - I got a really cute navy-blue pair with white soles. I really needed tennis shoes, and these are very light weight and machine washable. They're made by Skechers.

Chris @faerywings you must be exhausted. I used to work myself into a frenzy too over get togethers. I'd be exhausted before it was all over. I thought everything had to be perfect. I know you'll have a great time though. I ended up doing 14 CP layouts and due to our 5 a day lo limit, I have the last 4 to post today. Note to self: DO NOT do that again!! I really got carried away with this month's CP.

Hugs to all and I'm off to post my last 4 CP LOs and go and promote them. XOXO

EDITED: I made 15, not 14.

Morning ladies... I have to be quick here today, we are as usual very busy this weekend and are off to the grocery store in a couple of minutes. Yesterday was a run to Nanaimo, we decided to go to that Costco instead of going to Langford and over the Malahat. There have been so many accidents on the Malahat lately and if you caught on the Malahat because of a crash, you are there for hours. There is no alternate routes to take. :banghead:. So today we need a few veggies etc. I don't buy them at Costco because there is way too much to try to eat before it goes bad. We are spending the rest of the day in the front yard, cutting back bushes and getting the lawn cut. I need to clean the glass panes on the front porch and on the upper deck too. It will be time to take all the chairs off the decks, but I think that will wait until after Thanksgiving (next weekend). Hopefully it will be nice enough to sit out there with my brother and SIL!! Anyway I need to post my layouts from the colour play I didn't get a chance to do that yesterday.

@faerywings - I had a day like you did yesterday too, everything I touched I either dropped or spilled LOL. At the end of the day Gary and I were sitting on the front porch and a wasp landed right on my cheek, well of course I had a full glass of wine that went flying and I spilled it all over the place!! I did not get stung though, but what a mess to clean up! :mopping:. Hence the reason I need to clean the glass panes today. :housekeeping:. I hope you manage to clean your wine glasses without incident!!

@BrightEyes - More company coming your way, Hooray!!! I hope you get your laundry all sorted and put away today :laundryline:. Yes the colour play sure keeps us busy and now a new month full of challenges and DSD right around the corner! It's a scrappers heaven LOL.

@vickyday - Nice that your DH is having a great time with his bike and helping his friend out with the Gold Wing! Hopefully no one falls over!

@bcgal00 - Keeping my fingers crossed for your open house! Enjoy the day at the park, hopefully you are getting the lovely sunshine we are having here today!

Sorry I have to get going, so hope to catch up with all of you tomorrow?? But don't count on it as we are heading up to the In-Laws to help them out for the day. Waving to those that I missed with personals and hope that you all have a great day! :cowwaving:

Well, it is already evening and I'm just now getting here. Good grief!

Got up early this morning and Shaun came with Brian and I to see Syd. We went to Cheesecake Factory. Lunch was good. But it rained for about an hour of the drive...a lot of it was a really hard rain. So it took longer. We were gone about 5 hours...about 2 hours at lunch but with with Syd and the other 3 hours driving. But, I'd drive for longer to see her! Anyway, we got home and I took a nap. Got up and now I'm getting ready to leave for the play.

@faerywings I hope that tonight is just filled with joy...and that you don't worry about dust or dirt and you just soak in the time with everyone that you love. I honestly don't know anything about Bunco except that it is a dice game and that there is plenty of yelling and screaming. I hope it is fun.

@Cherylndesigns I've been wanting some of those easy slip on Skechers. I just haven't gotten around to getting them yet. But I am all about easy!

@BrightEyes I love that your niece will be visiting. That's what I want...a house that has a revolving door for friends and family. That's one of the goals for buying the lake house in Iowa!

@vickyday sounds like you and Mark are keeping busy with the fall weather! YAY for you!

@taxed4ever it seems like just yesterday that you were putting the deck furniture out. Time goes so fast! Hope the weather holds up long enough for your brother and SIL to be able to sit outside and have some wine on the deck with you.

@bcgal00 fingers are crossed for something happening from today's open house. I understand about putting the cruise to South America on hold for awhile.

Ok..off to the play. I should have more time to talk tomorrow!

In 12 hours or so, everyone is going to be out of my house!! Yippee!
Heh, I am just kidding, I love having everyone here. My only real complaint is that playing hostess leaves me with little time to actually sit and talk to everyone. It's the main reason why I do so much prep in advance so I can have as much time as possible to chat.
I feel pretty good with everything as it is right now. I need to make the breadsticks-- takes about three hours from start to finish but most of that time is in the bread machine. I almost decided that I wasn't going to make them, I have other breads, but Caitlyn told me how Tom has been looking fwd to them all week. The main dishes are both frozen so all I need to do for them is stick one in the oven and the other in the toaster oven.

I should have enough time to get somewhat caught up on some of my CT work here. I haven't had to chance to upload my CP LO, nor get my Team threads posted. That has to get done today.

Wish me luck and send sanity vibes! :D

@BrightEyes October sure came up quickly, didn't it? I need to get ready for the spooky season.
That's fantastic that your niece is coming to visit!

@vickyday Wouldn't you know that I have to take Whisky to the vet first thing tomorrow? I can't even have a slow morning...sheesh. ;) Thank goodness it is W and not J. Jaida is awful to take to the vet and I swear I come home feeling like I wrestled a few grizzly bears instead of one stubborn as a brick dog.
I am really happy for you that you are getting so much bike riding in. It sure is a different feeling being on a crotch rocket (we called them rice burners LOL!) vs. a bigger bike. Does Mark have the crash bars on his?
Yikes! Mark - just being diagnosed with an ulcer- wanted all-you-can-eat wings? That sounds like it would have hurt, might be a good thing the offer ended.

@bcgal00 I am really sad for you and the fam. I can't imagine how hard it is for you. :brokenheart:
Any luck with the Open House?
Ohhh, that's awful that you had to cancel the Feb trip but it might be a blessing in disguise since you have so much going on and hopefully, you will be getting ready to move by then.

@Cherylndesigns I saw an ad somewhere for those step-in shoes-- LMK how they feel after you wear them a long time. I need a lot of arch support with my silly pancake-flat feet and weak ankle.
15 CP LOs. Forgive my language but HOT DAMN!
:lol23:

@taxed4ever have you noticed that people seem to be getting worse and worse with driving? I don't; get it, but for the last few years I am witnessing the stupidest drivers on the roads. You'd think driving on the NJ Parkway, I would see more unsafe, impatient driving. Nope, it's the little country roads up here or the highways with all of the stores and strip malls that seem to make people batty. Good idea to go to the different Costco and get there in one piece and on time.
*$#&&%$ Wasps! Sorry that you spilled your wine, such a waste :giggle4: Very glad that you didn't; get stung!

@LSlycord ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) That's a long day of driving in the rain but as you said-- so worth it!
How was the play? Bunco is tomorrow night? let me know what you think of it.
BTW, I signed up for a 2nd hike and I am super excited about the new one- it's being led by Scott :D

@tanteva My babies!! You did a great job with the pictures, Braxton and Linguine O'Brien will be excited to see it. I hav some new ones. Here is one I took yesterday:

He did have wings....honey pepper. I had one. It wasn't really spicy and was delicious. I'm thinking spicy might be ok. I think acid is the culprit for his ulcers.
He has a headache this morning, as do I, and he can't take aspirin now because of the ulcers and Tylenol just doesn't work very well for him like it does for me. So he says no matter what the doctor says, if he feels like the headache is heading towards a migraine, he will have to take the Excedrin migraine!
I had to take some Tylenol this morning and my headache is beginning to ease some.

Good morning,
It's beautiful here this morning with sunny skies and 65 degrees as we speak. It would be a good day for a bike ride but we have a lot going on with a funeral to attend of a 39 year old mother of 3 girls. So sad. She's been fighting cancer the last 7-8 years. Her low life of a husband left her to deal with her illness and the girls all on her own. Fortunately her mom was nearby to help. When she got really sick she and the girls moved in with mom. Mom and stepdad come to our church but mom hasn't been able to come much this year for taking care of her daughter. So sad. Then the dad decided he wanted the girls. Not happening and the girls didn't want to be with him. Fortunately Grandma and Grandpa have been given custody.

Anywho...I don't think we will be riding today.

Ok, I need to get my shower and grab a bite to eat before we leave in 45 minutes.

Have a great day!

October is finally here... but the heat is still hanging on... :crying1: But hope is on the way... by Tuesday or Wednesday, the temp will only get into the lower 70's for a high. I know... I know... it won't be long before we will complaining about the cold. But for now, we can have fun with all the Halloween stuff. :flyingwitch: :grimreaper: And speaking of October - I uploaded 2 of the Oct challenge LOs this AM. Just couldn't resist getting Challenge #6 - Color Play done late last evening. And I always love Double Scrap Lifts (Challenge #1). Must admit it was hard narrowing it down to 2 LOs since there are so many fabulous ones in the gallery.

A great big  to @Cherylndesigns for your help yesterday. Geeze... can't believe that I forgot to log-in to the photo site. What a difference in what was available once I did that!!! Can you believe I spent another 2 hours looking at photos??? :lol23: Have to be careful or I will be sucked down the rabbit hole again... :rotfl:

@faerywings Sounds like you are ready for the party! So good to see Braxton and Linguine O'Brien are out and ready to party with the crowd. @tanteva Love what you did with their photos. Yes, it is fun to see the Halloween stuff popping up all over.

@vickyday Sorry that Mark has an ulcer. I agree - sometimes Tylenol doesn't do it for a bad headache. Glad he was able to eat and enjoy the chicken wings. They sound so delicious.

@LSlycord Wow, that must have been some drive with the rain - but glad you got to see Syd.

@taxed4ever Glad you chose another Costco to go to and the roads weren't too bad getting there.

Need more :coffeedrinker: I did the :laundry: yesterday but it took all day to get it done. I am going to take it easy today... maybe just kick back and relax for the day.

Unfortunately Mark's stomach is "full" of ulcers according to the doctor! Poor guy! And today he has one of those headaches that will escalate to a migraine if he isn't careful. He is on the couch with an ice pack on his head. :sad2:

Good afternoon all.

I'm waiting for Adrienne to come pick me up and we're going to pumpkins. I think it's a little early in this yeat, but I'll get those harder ones; the ones that look like gourds. They're so cute with the warts on them.

Chris, @faerywings looks like Braxton is ready to partay. Give him a hug for me and tell him not to eat and drink too much. Hahaha Yes, I did 15 LO's for CP. Almost bit off more than I could chew, but you know how it is when you see all that beauty.I 'll let you know about the shoes. I'm wearing them out today and that will test them.

Kay @BrightEyes I was happy to help yesterday!! I've gone down that same rabbit hole so many times myself. It's a deep deep hole. :giggle4::giggle4::giggle4:

I'll try to get back on here for more personals, but might not make it til tomorrow. I had quite a night last night and must tell you girls about if. Nothing life threatening, but it has to do with my computer. :desk3::multitasking:

Hugs to all.

Love my O Family!

Well, poor Mark is down for the count with his headache. He just gave up and went to bed with a water bottle full of ice and more Tylenol. We have light out curtains, so hopefully the dark, quiet, and ice will help. If it doesn't work, doctor's orders or not, he will be taking Excedrin migraine, ulcers bedamned.:sad2:

I'm knitting on my sweater before heading out to the funeral home. Thought I'd share how much I have done on the back.

Here's a close up of the pattern I am loving!

Ok. Back to it.
Please pray for Mark to be rid of the headache!
Thanks!
