Daily Ooo's: September 15-16: Weekend Edition

Sun!! I finally see the sun! :whoo:
It feels like forever since I saw it last. Guess what my plans for this afternoon will be? I am gonna go outside. Sadly, not needed to do much yard work other than clearing out more dead flowers and collect morning glory seeds. But better than being stuck inside for sure.
I am all unpacked and caught up on laundry. I paid bills, played with the pups, and cleaned for my neighbor. Go me!
I also downloaded the pictures off of my phone that I took while I was away. Some of the "action shots" of the waves and a surfer look pretty cool as you scroll through them. It is funny that the camera color-corrected them so they look like it was brighter and "bluer" than it actually was.

Today, I have to start getting ready for the Sept Bash that is in ONE WEEK!!!!!! :faint:I am hoping that if I can clean one or two rooms every day, all I will have to do on is tidy up before the party. Today, I am going to scrub bathrooms. (fun!!!!! LOL)

Nancy- I bet you are very happy to see the sun today too. Hope that you and Luther can get outside for a long walk together. I want to take W out if I can, it has been a long time since we walked.

That is really neat about the NHL special, I know you will love watching that.
Hahaha!! That is funny about shuddering over having to food shop. You know that I 100% agree with that.


Angela- have you been taking photos of the signs you are making, would love to see them! hope that your kids had successful days too.


Trudy- This time of year makes me sad too, seeing the leaves falling and the flowers dying. (And my eyes itching!!!)
Is it the change of season what is kicking off the organizing bug? Good luck with all of that! Sounds like you are off to a great start.


Jean- I hope that you find a bit of time to breathe this weekend, Good luck on all of your talks/groups/activities.


I want to catch up on Thursdays Ooo's but if I don't get to do personals, I will still read through them all.

Good early morning ladies... Yup I was awake at 5am :mmph: Why oh why can't I have two good sleeps in a row :noidea: DH is still happily sleeping away, I am hoping that he has not caught my cold, but he was doing a lot of sniffling last night. We are going to go to Costco somethime today, so perhaps I should try to get back into bed and get a few more minutes of sleep :sleep:

Chris - Wow you had a very productive day yesterday! Hooray for the sun finally coming out for you! Enjoy your time outside and yes it is sad to see all the flowers die off and to watch the leaves fall from the trees :sad: Hope you get to make a page or two with your action shots of the surfers! I would love to see them! Good luck cleaning your rooms! Doing one at a time is a great idea!

Ok DH is up so I better get the coffee pot on and perhaps start a bit of breakfast too. I will pop in later on today :wave:

good morning and yes like Chris says we can see the sun as it pops in and out the clouds. I am happy. We had a nice long walk with Luther. He met some other really nice dogs, one a year old Shepherd Sadie. They got along well. It was fun to see. But he still barks at the little dogs that bark at him. Still humid though. Looks like we will be getting rain from Florence on Tuesday. But not like they are getting in the Carolinas. I have not heard from my girlfriend but they are so without power that I am not surprised. When I went to pick up Luther yesterday the caregivers said that Luther was crazy. I said I am sure he was as he had been inside so much with weather and the boys being at work. The woman behind me had the same comment about her dog and she said the same thing. It is so good that Luther can come and play with his pals. We had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and I love that.

Chris you were super productive. Awesome! I am sure you will be ready for your bash.

Trudy wow you are up early. I slept until 8am which is late for me. It felt good. Have fun at Costco.

Angela look forward to see the photos and sorry it is raining.

Jean have fun at the meetings and I know your talks will be special.

GooOd morning, lovely Os!
Another morning where I am moving slower than molasses. (I overdid it yesterday and today I am paying for it)


So yeah, I did it again... what can you do? Everyone was sleeping so late that I puttered around the kitchen a bit, then decided I was going to scrub Gary's tub/bathroom really good. Then I realized that it was the perfect weather for me to steam clean, especially since it is supposed to rain here the next few days. My carpets look amazing right now and I am keeping all of my fingers crossed that they stay sort of clean until Saturday. I still needed to be outside and in the sun so when I was done with the rugs, I collected morning glory seeds and cut down a lot of the vines that were dead.
Needless to say, I am achy all over.

My MIL is coming up this afternoon to help me address the invites to their party. If I am going to clean anything this morning, I need to get my butt in gear and away from the computer. Maybe after one more (cup or pot) coffee :cof2:

good morning the sky is blue and it should be near 80s. My DH is out with Luther as yesterday our walk did not go well. My DH and I have some very different views on walking with Luther. I just don't want him drinking the standing water. Maybe if he was not a dog with allergies and stuff I would not mind. We bring him water to drink. So we were walking and my DH let him drink so I just moved Luther on and my DH yelled at me and ok you walk him. Look I am too old to be yelled at for watching out for my dog so I will avoid the stress and just not go. I can take him later. So stupid! Got a lot of backing up done and boy do my DIL and son have a lot of photos and it is so nice to them off my computer. I started at around 79K and now down to 65K so that is a lot to have backed up. LOL. Shame on me for letting it get that big. I saw on the new iPhones that have 512 storage that they hold 200K photos. So maybe I am not so bad. LOL. The photos from the Carolinas are so sad. That is so much rain. Water does so much damage! It has been fun watching all the hockey teams getting ready for the new season. And today is football.

Chris sounds like a busy day and even though you are sore it is a good sore since you got so much accomplished. Enjoy the time with your mom. How many are you expecting for your bash?

Trudy how did you sleep and did your Gary catch you cold. Hope not!

Morning everyone... It is very cloudy and gloomy looking outside this morning, but I slept until 8am so I feel so much better today! Sure hope to see some blue sky, even just a patch or two sometime today. Yes my DH did catch my cold, but not nearly as bad as I did. He has some sniffles and is sneezing a lot, but says he feels pretty good, so I am glad for that! Yesterday our trip to Costco was very busy!! We really could use another Costco nearer to us, the one that we like to go to is so crazy busy!! I did find everything on my list though and DH and I both got new tops. He got two long sleeve casual pullovers and I found a really nice cowl necked grey sweater all for a very reasonable price. When I got home I wished I would have gotten another sweater in blue also LOL. I hope to hear something from Heather either today or tomorrow morning about how their camping weekend went. It is so nice that they are able to make these memories with the boys! Our son's family is viisting him in Ottawa this weekend as he is there for a course so I hope they all had a great weekend too!

Chris - Sorry you are all sore from overdoing it yesterday! I hope that you feel better quickly and that you have a nice visit with your MIL today! I am sure that your rugs look great after all that cleaning and I hope that they stay that way for you! So nice that you had some sunshine to sit out in yesterday too. On our drive home from Costco we said oh look the sun is out maybe we can sit out on the deck for a bit when we get home, of course by the time we got there it was pouring rain again :mmph: Oh well it was a nice idea.

Nancy - Grrrr MEN!! How dare your husband let Luther drink from standing water when he knows how much you don't want that to happen!! I don't blame you for just not going with him! Sometimes our guys can be so FRUSTRATING!! :frusty: Wow you are doing so great with your backing up on your computer! It will be so nice to have it all done and finished though! Yes the new iPhones look amazing, too pricey for me however I will have to be happy with my iPhone 6 for a while longer LOL. Isn't it terrible the damage that is being done from all these storms! Yes water is a powerful thing and there sure isn't too much you can do to prevent its destruction! Enjoy your football today!

Soon I will have to start thinking about starting my calendars and I am so happy to see Natali Designs is now here at the O!! She has the most amazing calendar products!
