Good morning! My day is off to a fantastic start.
Nope, not sarcastic. Really!
I think the third mug of coffee is helping but I already got a couple of things accomplished. Uh-huh-- it is definitely the coffee talking b/c it was only one thing accomplished. Sam texted the invite to her niece's 1st birthday party on the 30th and it's a faery theme. (yay!) Sara is asking for diapers as a gift but I can't only give a pack of diapers. I ordered this book
61757046.jpg

A mouse dressed up as a fairy in a book! Ya can't get better than that.
The shipping said 4-8 business days, but the email says delivery by Dec 2. The party is Nov 30. *fingers crossed it gets here in time*

I steam-cleaned my carpets for hours yesterday and they look great this morning. The clock has been reset to see how long it takes for one of the dogs to throw up on them. When we had cats, it was usually before they were even dry. The dogs usually give me a grace period of a day or two.

I don't have any major plans today and I'm glad for that. I need to revise my lesson plans for Tuesday (I had a kooky dream that I was 2 hours late for work last night- oops!) but at least I enjoy that.

Have a wonderful day!

BTW- I did get that adorable autumn kit and scrapped the photo of the chunky squirrel. My friend across the street commented on FB -- "You know why he is so fat?" Answer: He is probably one of the ones who flings himself off of her roof to reach the bird feeder :giggle4:

@AK_Tracy Ahhhhh!! Snow for days... I would be so miserable. Be safe on the roads. Although you are so much more skilled driving in snow than anyone in NJ for sure.

@BrightEyes Same weather here--the temps aren't too cold but the wind is making it feel much worse.

@MariJ Yes, good news last night that the NJ side of the fire is 90% contained. Hopefully, the wind won't cause more trouble although it's the clueless people I am more worried about. My town's Fire Dept had to post on FB that "not knowing" about the fire restrictions and red flag warnings is not an excuse and the people will be fined if they get caught burning stuff. I don't know how they don't know any of this, but here we are...
I hope the air clears by you too and that no new fires pop up.

Good mOrning lady O's
What a week. I finally have a few minutes.
Sunday I went to the club with some friends and 2 of us painted the wood part of sign while another watered the new shrubs we planted. It looks so much better. We are planning to plant a few shrubs by it.

Monday I decided to check my internet bill which has been going up and up..after an hour chat...then 1/2 talking to a person. Come to find out they were charging us for stuff we didn't even use so we got our bill lowered by almost 100$. We went to the club for Music Night it was fun hanging out with our friends.

Tuesday I got up at 4:30 started coffee then got on my computer the ceiling light went out but didn't think much because coffee was still dripping. Then discovered 1/2 the house had no electric. The electric Co came to test and found there is a broken wire underground so they have to replace it but hooked up a temp service for us. It will be 6 week for a permit then they schedule the install. The bad part is that it goes under our patio and paver walkway not sure how they will handle that. I took a friend to lunch for her birthday, we went to get Thai food and it was so much I had it for dinner too. Monarch update: I released 3 more.

Wednesday the lights at the house we flickering so Jay contacted the power company and they came out to run a heavy duty extention cord to the neighbors..they also found the wire is broke under the road. I went grocery shopping and over to the club to put second coat of paint on the sign.

Thursday we had ladies lunch at the pool and a nice swim. Since one of our friends is leaving for a few months I bought little cup cakes so it was more fun. We sleep with our bedroom slider open during the night there was ruckus by the pond, one of the Muscovy ducks is missing. It's sad they are so much fun to have for friends.

Friday we had a little dinner party with some friends. Jay smoked a pork roast and I made the rest of the meal.

@AK_Tracy That treatment suit you had to wear is something....wow. I sure hope it helps. Looks like you finally got the snow you have been waiting for.

@MariJ and @faerywings So glad the NY/NJ fires are getting controlled.

Good Morning!
I was MIA most of Thursday and all day Friday.
Thursday Ilene and I spent the day grocery shopping.....in the rain.....preparing for our church gathering on Friday evening that our pastor called, The Fireside Fellowship! I like that! I'm going to have to do a scrap with that title!
Friday I was on my feet ALL DAY LONG.....chopping up veggies and preparing for the vegetarian chili (but I add hamburger) and vegetable soup. I also fixed Mexican cornbread and regular cornbread. I also took hot dogs and the condiments. I let everyone else take care of the goodies. I requested finger type stuff.....cookies, Little Debbie Cakes, etc. Someone brought brownies, too. Dinner began at 5:30 and everyone left around 10. I cleaned up most of the dishes last night and have another load washing as we speak. The only thing left is to re-season my iron skillets that I cooked the regular cornbread in.

I might do some laundry at some point today. I want to at least wash the tablecloths and towels and dish rag from yesterday's activity.

I had a teacher contact me about some of the books I am selling on FB marketplace. She asked me if I would consider donating the paper craft books to the elementary school in our town! I said, "Certainly!" So I'm waiting to hear back from her as to where to meet.

I downloaded a pre-release this morning I want to play with.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning O Fam!
Thankfully the snow stopped and there wasn't much over night. However I'm not sure my van will make it out of the drive as hubs didn't plow while I was at work. Oh well, just means I take his truck. Running on fumes and need a day of rest. Glad tomorrow is Sunday and I can sit after church and do nothing.

A mouse dressed up as a fairy in a book! Ya can't get better than that.
This looks like an adorable book. Love the party theme too. Will be fun!

Did you ever find your mind?? I found mine in the coffee pot yesterday.
@AK_Tracy Ahhhhh!! Snow for days... I would be so miserable. Be safe on the roads. Although you are so much more skilled driving in snow than anyone in NJ for sure.
Yep, driving in snow is a skill. Most forget and its fun during the first snow of the year. But now everyone is good and remembers to go slow when its slick. Didn't see any ditch divers yesterday.
@AK_Tracy That treatment suit you had to wear is something....wow. I sure hope it helps. Looks like you finally got the snow you have been waiting for.
Yes the suit is something LOL It feels good after a long day of doing life so that is nice. We almost have enough snow to ski through the woods. Need to test the lake and see if its froze thick enough. Listening to it pop this past week I think it might be.
Wednesday the lights at the house we flickering so Jay contacted the power company and they came out to run a heavy duty extention cord to the neighbors..they also found the wire is broke under the road.
This would be scary. I hope they're able to fix the lights and it wont take 6 weeks. At least the wire breakage isn't in the house.

Reading everything you did this week...... Girl when do you rest? You have so much energy. Must be all that wonderful sunshine, keeps you moving.
Friday I was on my feet ALL DAY LONG.
Oh Vicky, what a day you had but sounds like tons of fun.

Another day of work, one more closer to done. I also get to train a third person now. The owners granddaughter. Its so crazy but they will have lots of options once I am gone. I've never trained so many people or for so long. The gal who took my place for two years got 2 days of training and that was it. LOL. Oh well. The extra days this week I worked on an SOP as there wasn't one, never has been. My mind is mush now. But soon it will be all done.

Off for more coffee. Have a wonderful day.

Chris! That made me laugh out loud!! That must be universal training in doggie school because the same is true here!
What a week. I finally have a few minutes.
I admire your social life!! You are one busy lady!!
Listening to it pop this past week I think it might be.
What pops? The ice? That must be really something to hear that. New sounds of nature!

It's been a busy day already here. We unloaded carload of Belle's things, got most of it upstairs in small batches. The rest of it has to wait for someone stronger and more able than we are. Did some rearranging, started another box for goodwill. I discovered yesterday that 800 mgs of Ibuprofen is helpful on my achy muscles, so I took 800 mg this morning as well. I think I was so tired this week because everything hurt. We're eating a light lunch now, then we're off to Lowes to pick up wire shelving for the closet, so there is somewhere to put my craft supplies which are now in what will be Belle's closet. Everything is a domino effect.

Hope you all have a good rest of your day! I think there will be more coffee in my future today too.

Wow... can't believe I slept in so late... went to sleep at 9PM and woke up at 8:20AM!!! Guess my body was catching up on rest! :) The good news is the only after-effects of the pneumonia shot is a slightly sore arm. I meant to take some Tylenol but forgot it. The back has been talking to me the last few days... think it is from hauling the groceries in to the house and putting them away.... plus all the running around I have been doing. Time to put my Dr Scholl's massager on my recliner and relax on it today. May even make this a PJ day... my fleece PJs are so warm and comfy. Last evening I was craving something sweet but not too sweet for dessert. Had 3 packs of Banana Nut muffin mixes but used them to make a loaf instead of muffins. Wow... it was perfect and have 2/3s of it left.

@faerywings I adore the LO you did with the 'chunky squirrel'... great use of that kit!

I finished the bundle I downloaded and got the LO made and uploaded late yesterday. Have my eye on a couple more kits I want to work with - may get them this weekend.

@JeanneMN Kevin looks adorable with his 'new' lights!!

@mimes1 So glad that you are getting Belle's things moved in... and are wise enough to let someone else who is stronger move the heavier stuff.

Off to get more :coffeedrinker: and put a load of towels on :laundry:.

You have to stay in that suit and stay still for an hour I'm not sure I could do that it would drive me crazy staying still.
I remember one time years ago when I was hiking with my ex-DIL we were near a frozen lake and it was windy the thin layer of ice was making an eerie sound as the wind blew across. Sometimes we would hear that popping sound if it was really cold. I miss hiking with her.

@mimes1 So glad Belle's move is going well sorry it's so painful. I am sure she will be happy to be settled back with you and Mark.

@BrightEyes You must have needed the rest, those shots do me in so I'm happy you only have a sore arm. Take a day off...the recliner sounds good. I've been in my recliner after our walk I'm making a basket and watching a movie with hubby

Have a great day

Hello all.

I've been in a funk for the last week, so haven't felt like chatting. One day, I don't remember which one, I typed some stuff then forgot to hit send. By the time I discovered it, everything was irrelevant. Hahaha

One of the reasons for my "mood" is that everybody is gone - Adrienne had to go to NJ on business, Chris @faerywings I don't know exactly where she goes, but I think it's actually in the city. It's her company's headquarters. She's been at some big conference and has been really busy. Roger is in FL at his "real job" and Drake has had another big golf tournament and Ava went with him. He finished second out of the whole thing.

Everybody but Roger will be home tonight. Alyssa and Aly are here, but that's it - we've been holding down the fort. Alyssa's BF has been here a few times to see if he can help me with anything. They're coming over this evening so I need to get the furniture polished and start a fire. My house looks better at night - cleaner - I'll probably light some candles, too.

Funny Grandma story. My youngest, Asher, calls me this afternoon and asks me if I'd like to buy \one of his Christmas gifts early. I never know what to get him, so I said I'd love to. He wanted some UGG slippers and he was holding a pair in his hands. He wanted to know if I had Apple Pay. I used to, but when I lost my debit card, it went null and void and I've never set it up. I told him to send them to me via Amazon and I'd get them for him on there. He did and I got them ordered and they'll be there tomorrow.

Enter his dad. He called me and asked me if I had done the above. I said that I had indeed. I guess the little stinker had pulled the "early Christmas present" on his dad and he said "No". I had a bunch of texts from A saying his dad was mad. Uh-oh. Anyway, I basically told him to calm down. It wasn't a big deal. I was happy to get him what he wanted. We both agreed that buying him game cards was not a good option, which is what I normally do. I smoothed his feathers with this fact. I guess the crux of the problem was that Asher told him that I had OFFERED and he didn't ASK. Right......................:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I told his dad that they always call Grandma and again, told him to calm down. We ended on a good note. They all know that Grandma is an easy mark. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: To sweeten the pot, his shoes will arrive tomorrow, which made him over the moon. I told him I want pictures.

Chris @faerywings what an adorable little book. She will love it and I agree, you couldn't just get diapers. DUH. Glad you got your carpets cleaned and I hope the dogs don't yack on them soon. I just cleaned up yak on one of the two rugs in my whole house. I have a rug in the LR, under my big trunk and of course, if Daisy yaks, it's always on that rug. I'm always like "did you HAVE to do it on my rug?"

Debby @BoatLady you are such a busy bee and what an asset you are to your community. I'm glad they're getting your electric straightened out.

Track @AK_Tracy you're always busy, too. I can just see you driving that big snowplow.

Vicky @vickyday what a great theme for your dinner.

Amy @mimes1 sounds like you're busy as usual.

Kay @BrightEyes keep it up and you're going to be a late sleeper like me. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Group hug to all and XOXO. :grouphugyay:

I'm busier than I want to be!! Even tonight Mark excused me from all activity so I can rest and visit with my friends here. He even see's how tired I've been. 800 mg Ibuprofen and Voltaren gel and resting with Oscraps friends - a magical, restful combination!

I was about to say "PARTY at CHERYLS!!!" But then I saw everyone will be home tonight...If we all showed up then they'd worry about you more than they already do! :hug4: ;)

YES, come on over - the fireplace is lit, the candles are lit and it's party time. They would croak if I had a big party while they were gone. I need to find some "secret friends". I'm always surprised that they leave me alone - they know I love to get into mischief. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

What a day. I'm so talked out. Seven hours is too long with someone who cant just sit. Especially if youre training them there is nothing to do. SEVEN hours.

What pops? The ice? That must be really something to hear that. New sounds of nature!
Yes the ice cracks and pops. Its super loud when it freezes. Its usually heard best (loudest) when we're in bed and temps drop way down.
@AK_Tracy
You have to stay in that suit and stay still for an hour I'm not sure I could do that it would drive me crazy staying still.
Yep, an hour. The legs aren't so bad as I can read a book or play on computer but the arms are hard as I cant do anything. Hands are covered. I try to time it when hubs and I are watching tv. That helps pass the time.
I told his dad that they always call Grandma and again, told him to calm down. We ended on a good note. They all know that Grandma is an easy mark. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: To sweeten the pot, his shoes will arrive tomorrow, which made him over the moon. I told him I want pictures.
I'm a mean grandma. I would buy them but he doesn't get them until Christmas. Would make him think twice about asking LOL And you will have something to open at Christmas.
I can just see you driving that big snowplow.
I did tonight. Night plowing. Had to turn on the light bar so I could see behind better. But then the headlights started to flicker. I think they either have a short or are going out. Was bummed but what do you do. I'll finish tomorrow.

Now to check out the gallery and all the fun layouts.

@mimes1 Yes you need to take it easy...no one pays the pain of overdoing except those who overdo it. I am starting to back off some of the chores that hurt later on. Yup party at Cheryl's would be great...we could take a break from our rough life.

@AK_Tracy you are amazing doing the plowing, flickering headlights would be a problem for sure. My dad used to love plowing snow I liked to go with him, it was magical at night I can remember that so no wonder you like it. So is your lake big? do you snowmobile across it?

@Cherylndesigns Sorry you had to be alone but I like the sound of a fireplace and candles. I would buy the present too but like Tracy would make him wait. My older ones just get money, this year Kirsten's was the trip to Cleveland for Rod Stewart/Billy Joel concert and 1/2 the money to come here in Jan. Now to do something special for Tyler...always the hardest. I guess just a big deposit into his investment account (that has been his thing lately). Youngest one 9 has everything and gets everything from his parents so really hard to get something for him. I'll chat with him to see if there is something special.

@vickyday You are so kind to do so much to help people, driving them around and then cooking that big meal.

So yesterday I started to weave another basket, it's 1/2 way done. I'm making a sample so I can teach it at the club on Quilting Day- which is really craft day since 1/2 the people who go do other things. I've had several of them ask me to show them how so I guess I will.
Goal today- finish the basket, arrange the pots in my garden and clean up the leaves from the magnolia tree. I like to use the leaf vacuum because I get ground up leaves for mulch.

I hope you all have a wonderful sunday

Happy Sunday from an even smokier-smelling NJ. *holds nose and coughs a little* The wind was horrible again yesterday and the fire jumped its borders on the NY State side. The NJ side is still mostly contained but it's not like the fire knows state lines. :/
The forecast is still hopeful for rain this Thursday so if you can send some rain vibes, everyone here will appreciate it.

I sort of took it easy yesterday. Sort of. I puttered around the house, puttered with a little online shopping. I bought a couple more gifts and by the time I'm done, maybe I'll have something for everyone. Maybe.
Caitlyn and I went to the local TJ Maxx and lasted 10 minutes before we had to bolt. It was so crowded and we could not maneuver the cart and we both got overwhelmed. So we left. That's when I decided to go back to Amazon and Etsy and look again. I got a T-shirt for Gary, popcorn bowls for Tom, and a 1st Christmas skeleton ornament for Cait and Tom. Yippee..... :p

Today is more of the same- plus I have to get ready for the week. Gary and I have an LLMD appt tomorrow and that is always a long day.

Have a wonderful and restful Sunday!

@BoatLady What a busy week you had with a wide variety of good and not-so-good moments. As long as the fun stuff outweighs the bad, that makes it a successful week. Seems like you and your friends did exactly that!
I hope the electric company can get the line fixed quickly without having to rip up any of your patio.

@vickyday I love the Fireside Fellowship! What a fantastic name for a fantastic gathering ♥ I hope you had a chance to sit and relax yesterday after being on your feet all day on Friday.

@AK_Tracy My mind tried to drown itself in the coffee pot. I felt like Dumbledore drinking the water to get the Horcrux to reach it. :glowskull:

Please do whatever you can to stay off your feet this afternoon. Tell the fam you need to double up your time in your suit. If they come close enough and don't hear it running, just mimic the sound. They will never know the difference.:rotfl:

@JeanneMN I have been thinking of you every day, wanting to PM you but didn't want to intrude. We miss you!
Kevin is adorable, is he motorized?
Gary went to pick up beer for my college graduation party and there was a motorized Coors Light can on display. He gave the owner like $20 for it and set him up as a centerpiece. LOL He looks like he might have been Kevin's cousin. Probably more like a Grandfather since that was 1992. I'll have to see if there are any pics on my computer.

@mimes1 One of my cats would literally stand next to the linoleum and throw up on the rug. Cats!
Sending you gentle hugs- I had to do the same thing a handful of Advil and Voltaren gel for my back after the steam cleaning.
It will be so worth it to have Bella home though.

@BrightEyes Wow, you must have been very tired to sleep that long. I was "proud" of myself when I slept until 6.30 yesterday. Great news that you aren't having any major side effects from the vaccine. Did you have a comfy and cozy PJ day?

@BoatLady Just talking about the ice popping sounds gives me the shivers and not because I am cold. I am sort of phobic about ice and ice skating. I think it is because I watched The Omen as a kid and that one scene of the boy under the ice is still in my head.

Guess it is time to get going-- HAGD!! xoxo

Guess it is time to get going-- HAGD!! xoxo
Pretty much so! I did some laundry and took some craft books I have for sale on FB Marketplace and donated them to the elementary school in our town to the 3rd grade teacher. Or, I should say one of the teachers. She told me there are 8 classes of 3rd graders this year! WHAT??? What went on in 2016 to cause an explosion of 3rd graders this year?? ;)

Good Morning,
Low 40's with bright sunshine this morning.
Pretty much rested yesterday, only doing some laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, making the bed, sweeping the floors, cutting Mark's hair and trimming his beard, got a scrap page done for a pre-release and worked on some FB Marketplace stuff. Carried some of the books I was selling and donated them to the 3rd grade class here in town. The teacher told me they have 8 Classes of 3rd graders!!
Today I will be reworking some of the FB marketplace stuff, doing another pre-release page, catching up on my ATCs and check in on the AJ challenge for this week.
Need to get my shower and ready for church.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

How did you have to adjust the added ingredients and cook time on your banana nut muffin mixes to make bread instead, Kay? Enquiring minds need to know! ;)
Each package makes 6 muffins and requires 1/2 cup of water or milk. I dumped all 3 packages in a mixing bowl and added 1 1/2 cup of water. Mixed it up and put it a greased loaf pan then baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Checked with a knife and it needed another 5 to be done. Easy Peacey!! :)

Friends are never an intrusion, I miss all of you too.
Kevin is actually a piece of garden art made from scrap metal . I got him almost 10 years ago at a vineyard grape stomp weekend, a huge event. I carried him around to the grape stomp competition. . He also has a hand painted toga from the grape stomp competition, one of the toga stomp teams were minions and gave it to him.

Back to a more normal sleep pattern - only 7 hours last night. Just checked the weather and we will have a couple of hours of light rain and snow around noon then more of the same overnight. Then no more snow until next month. The humidity is high so my arteritis is acting up.

Just heard from DD#1 yesterday.... the surgery on her foot/ankle is scheduled for Dec 11. She was going to wait until after the New Year to have it but it has been so painful she has been up all night for the past several weeks. The doctor agreed it was time to get it done. At least she has lots of help... her hubby, daughter and son-in-law and 2 teenage granddaughters. Recovery time is 3 to 6 months....

I scrapped and uploaded 3 LOs yesterday. They were with 2 new released collections. Always love the holiday time of year with such fun winter and holiday themed kits.

Good morning All!
We're back down to the teens temps and the snow stopped. Its absolutely beautiful!

@AK_Tracy you are amazing doing the plowing, flickering headlights would be a problem for sure. My dad used to love plowing snow I liked to go with him, it was magical at night I can remember that so no wonder you like it. So is your lake big? do you snowmobile across it?
Night plowing is magical, if the headlights work!!!! It was flickering like emergency lights. Couldn't see well enough to finish. DIdn't wanna take out the well or anything. Yes, our lake is big enough to snowmachine (AK Term) across and around and have a blast. It also has trails you can get to and really ride remote. Across the lake, down the power lines a bit and then youre in the wide open (not really as its filled with trees) and can go for days. Its wonderful.
Please do whatever you can to stay off your feet this afternoon. Tell the fam you need to double up your time in your suit. If they come close enough and don't hear it running, just mimic the sound. They will never know the difference.:rotfl:
:floorlaugh: I can just see me on the couch making "wooooshhhhing" sounds. I'm pretty sure they would know! Plus youre not suppose to do more then an hour a day. Can overload the lymph system and you dont want all the toxins that youre moving, which go to liver and kidney, to overload the "filter organs". Guess if you way over do it, it can be bad for the heart.
@JeanneMN I have been thinking of you every day, wanting to PM you but didn't want to intrude. We miss you!
Me too. Like Chris said, dont wanna overwhelm you in a time where you need quiet. But we love you and miss you and are thinking/praying for you!

Today I drop my car off to FINALLY get the sunroof repaired! They will fix it tomorrow! The sunroof drain tubes failed. Means all the water that might get in there is going right to my headliner and soaking in until it drips rather then be routed outside the car. Cant wait for it to be all fixed. She'll be like new. Okay, off to crack the Chris whip at family and get them moving! One more hour and sun will be up!

have a wonderful day!
