Happy, happy Monday!! Is everyone ready for the upcoming week? I have a busy one so I better be ready to go.
That means that I need to get organized and make my plan. That is always the hard part and where I get distracted and then the whole day goes ker-plooey. :boom:
IL's came up yesterday and we were able to get all of the invites for their party addressed and ready to be mailed. They liked the invites a lot so that made me happy. The four of us had dinner together which is always a calm and relaxing event. Nope. The kids revisted their debate about whether psychology is a science or not and whether Caitlyn should be getting a BS or a BA. Scott is firmly in the Psych is a "social" science which is not a "real" science like his major-- Environmental Science. She is adamant that it is a real science in that it uses the scientific method in its research. 15 minutes later after much googling on their phones, I begged them to agree to disagree. Things quieted down briefly, then the debate began anew when we were clearing the table.
Man, this house will be too quiet when they move out

Today is really foggy but should get better in a while. I have to get the kitchen deep cleaned and food shopping/party menu planning ready to go too. Cait has to tell me what she wants for her b-day dinner on Friday too. she keeps telling me that I need to decide since I was the one who birthed her. (She has a point, I did all of the work that day :pound:)

Wishing all of you the best day today!

Nancy- argh!!! We go through the same issues with the dogs. Gary is much more likely to yell/punish them and Cait and I are all about the positive reinforcement in training. No matter how we try to address it, it doesn't seem to connect with him, so we have to learn to let it go if it isn't critical.
That is great news about getting that photos backed up.
We are probably having 16-18 people at thBash- birthdays are Leah, Caitlyn, MIL, FIL, SIL and my niece. whew!

Trudy- that is the weather we have right now- damp, foggy, gloomy. Did the sun ever make it out?
There are only a few things that I like about the cooler weather and that is the food (pumpkin and apple desserts :hungry: ) and cozy sweaters. Not that I tend to wear them as I am usually bundled in sweats.
How did the kids do with camping?

Love to all!

good morning.
I think I'm ready for this week. We've got a 15th birthday at the end of it, so lots of preparations to fit in somewhere. I've still got 3 signs left to paint before Monday.

Morning O-zies! Some patches of blue sky are showing this morning, but lots of dark clouds on the horizon so I am not too hopeful for seeing much sunshine today. Yesterday was a real mixed bag of weather and we did see the sun a bit however it was raining while the sun was shining too. :mmph: DH got the lawn cut in between rain showers and also got the front of the house windows all washed too. I love that he likes to keep the windows so clean! ( I hate cleaning the windows!) Not much on my plate today, except to post the page that I finally finished and get started on my next one. Tomorrow I will hit the pool and get back to my lap swimming. Its been so long since I have gone, I hope it doesn't take too long to get back into it! Our hike this week is a hard one and very far away, it is supposed to pour rain, so I will have to decide if I want to go or not, I have gotten pretty lazy since I have gotten back home LOL. Waiting for a facetime call from Heather this morning to find out how the camping weekend went.

Chris - Wow!!! that is a lot of birthdays you have coming up! You will have a very full house! So nice that the in-laws loved your invites and that you got them all ready to be sent out together! Yes your house will be so quiet when the kids move out, hope that it won't be anytime soon though. Empty nest syndrome is not very much fun and your kiddos are so close to you that it will be very hard on all of you when they do leave  Hopefully they don't move too far away and you will see them a lot more than I get to see mine! Getting organized for this party will be a good idea, making a plan and trying to stick to it is the best way to get it done - good luck!!

Angela - How fun to have a 15th birthday to prepare for! Hope you can your signs finished off this week too, remember to take pics of them I would love to see what you are doing!

I will grab a coffee and get to the gallery for some commenting and then hopefully make it back here to catch up with whoever else shows up today. Have a great morning everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Had a busy wkend. Photographed a wedding on Saturday and then did some culling and editing yesterday before going up to see B at the hospital. Not much time to relax but it was a fun wkend. I'm still a bit stiff from all the bending, twisting, turning, etc I have to do when shooting but I'm sure tomorrow I will be fine. Today I'll do desk work, some more editing and get outside with Taz for a good long walk. I need to do some baking this afternoon too to stock up on treats to take to the hospital for B.

Chris - what a big birthday celebration to plan for. Sounds like you are on top of things. You always talk about how busy I am but so are you :) You always have something on the go.

Trudy - we have sunshine this morning. Do you? It was a gloomy wkend but thankfully we didn't get that incredible hail storm that passed thru on Friday. I was driving through that area about 20 min before it hit. Saw friends' videos of how they were stranded, multiple accidents, etc. Hopefully the weather holds for your hike this wk.

Angela - 15th birthday party....what fun!

I'm getting to work now. Hope you all have a great day!
