Daily Ooos: Monday, December 4

Good morning! happy Day Four of the party!


I am waiting for my coffee to kick in, assume the identity of Human, and then we are on the road. I will be back to make a real post in a couple of hours but I wanted to start the thread so it was ready for everyone.

Since I know in my heart you are already sending good thoughts and prayers to Jaida, I thank you. Can you send some to Caitlyn as well? Squirrel passed away Sunday morning. My poor family, we love our pets so much and it has been a rough couple for months.

Anyway, I will see you all soon.

I am back and oh, my poor girl was not happy when we left. Her tail was tucked so far in that it didn't; look like it was there
The surgical tech that did her intake was one I recognized from my local vet. She left that practice about 5 years ago but it was nice for me to see a familiar face. If all goes as planned, *knocking wood here* the surgeon does rounds tomorrow between 9 and 11 am, and if she is good to go, we'll be able to get her after noon or so. It might be a little on the later side since she'll have a PT session tomorrow too.

I am so dang exhausted. It wasn't the best way to start the day with Cait telling me about Squirrel. I wasn't surprised only shocked at how fast it all happened. Caitlyn felt guilty that she did something wrong by putting the three of them in the cage together, and that it stressed Squirrel out too much. I don't think that at all and I don't think she believes it on a rational level but we have to beat ourselves up for some reason. :/

One good thing was that I was able to help my mom get some gifts ordered. I also baked another batch of cookies. Little things going in the right direction...
Life is all bonkers and my to-do list is out the wah-zooooo. Let me do quick personals and then start on that!


@vickyday I bet that is the case with the mom-to-be, overwhelmed. Sarah (Sam's sister) was like that at her shower opening her gifts but I heard from Scott and Sam about how she appreciated and loved everything she got.

@BrightEyes I feel like I am missing something or an update or I dunno- *something.* Are you all up to date on the Drs appts or is there anything outstanding that I am forgetting? If I am, I am sorry and can you catch me up?

@tanteva Since I can't offer you chicken soup, would vegetarian curry make you feel cozy and better? If so, watch out-- it's coming in from the USA!
Feel better, sweetie. And yup, it's a s*** year. Are there any Swedish traditions or superstitions that get rid of the old and make sure the new year is a good one? Let me know and I'll join you!

@Cherylndesigns I bet you were thrilled that Chuck was excited over the cookies. Must be a good sign!
I make a toffee bar- Matzoh Crack is the recipe name, I looove them! But it is basically the same, make the toffee, spread it over the matzoh, and then sprinkle it wth chocolate chips and sea salt. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No traditions like that, that I'm aware of. Only thing I've learned the hard way is to not jinx it by saying "At least next year can only be better!" .... Nope ... never happens.

Anyway, I feel a bit better today, and have been able to catch up somewhat with the digiland. But I can't say I have total control, I might have missed something I should have done. But I'm not looking into that right now, tomorrow is another day.

Good Morning!
Quick in and out today. I've got to get busy! I got up late after being up til almost 2:30 this morning! I didn't make it back in here at all yesterday as I worked on making a baby shower book for Ilene's GD's shower from Saturday. And when I finally did make it over here to check on the submissions for the border challenge.....just WOW! I couldn't believe how many entries there were! I didn't want to leave anyone's page without a comment!

Anyway, I'll try to get back in here later to check in on everyone!

Morning, gals. Got Day 4 challenge LO posted and in the galleries... plus the new release 'A Season For Joy' by Erin posted around digi-land. If you want a look at where I spend my time chatting with you all - take a look at my 2nd LO in Day 1 - Secret Gift Challenge. Forgot to turn up the heat until a few minutes ago... need it warmer before taking my shower. Then I will be off and running errands. At least the sun is shining even though it is only 29* right now ... should get up to mid-50's in the afternoon.

@faerywings So sorry to hear about Squirrel - even though you knew she was declining. Give Cait a special hug from me. I know this will be a long day for the family as you wait for word on how J is doing. No, Chris... you didn't miss anything going on with me - just a continuation of not being up to par. The cold and higher humidity makes my bod unhappy.

@vickyday Wow, you were up late!! Hope you can catch a nap today. How is your hand/wrist holding up??

No naps for me or I wouldn't sleep tonight. My wrist is very stiff, even though I try to massage and stretch it a couple of times a day. I hope I'm doing OK. We shall see how it goes! Thanks for asking, Kay!

Good morning.

It's another sunny day, 43 degrees going up to 54. That's not too bad.

Chris @faerywings I'm so sorry about Squirrel. It's just so sad to see any of our pets die. I mourned my fish when they died. Cait didn't do anything wrong, she probably helped Squirrel's end of life by being with the babies. Hugs to you both. Special doggie prayers and love to Jaida. I know it's so hard to leave them at the vet. I can just see her tail tucked between her legs. They always know where they are. I think they smell "it" when you get out of the car. The vet place must have a special odor - they always know. I'll keep her in my heart until you update us.

I'm going to cut this short because I have lots of "things" to do today. The party is rocking and I just got Sylvia's Secret Gift Challene #2 this morning, so I need to keep up with that. I haven't looked at Kay's challenge yet either. I was up late getting my new stuff posted last night, here and all around digiland. There will probably be some new things today and I used up my 5 uplads yesterday. LOL

Good Monday Morning everyone! Seems we are all trying to play catchup with the 12Days of December!! I never even got in here at all yesterday and now I am so far behind with everything! I have a sore back today from bringing up all the Christmas Decorations from the crawlspace with DH, his back is sore today too. Dam crawlspace!! . Guess we should have done it small increments and not all at once LOL. I did not sleep well last night and tossed and turned a lot. Then when I finally fell back to sleep I had so many dreams. I bolted out of bed when I saw that it was already almost 8am. I wanted to get up early so that I could get a good start to the day and maybe, just maybe get a calendar page done and some of the challenges here at the O. Its a rainy day so it will be a good day to just stay inside. I do have to get a batch of hamburger soup going this morning and fold the rest of the laundry. Quick personals and then I gotta get busy!

@faerywings - Please give Cait a big hug for me, so sorry that she lost her Squirrel!! I hope that all goes well for Jaida and that she comes through all of this with flying colors!! Yes we all blame ourselves when things go bad, its just our nature I guess. Nice that you helped your Mom get some online shopping done! I hope that you can get some good distraction from the Day 4 and that you spend some time with scrap therapy!

@tanteva - I am so sorry that you have been so sick! Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better today though!

@vickyday - Sounds like your border challenge is going to keep you hopping today!!

Do you wish the laundry could fold and hang itself the way I do?! I don't mind the washing, but the other I really dislike! Especially with a bum hand, lol!

The normal monthly challenges don't keep me as busy as this border challenge has! But on a positive note, I've seen quite a few new people!
