Happy Monday. I am trying to be festive but it is very dark right now and is snowing. This is the first of the two storms that Nancy was talking about. This one is the warm-up for Wednesday. Today is supposed to be 2-4" range. Wednesday/Thursday is going to be a lot. Right now we are in the 15+" area. Hopefully, that will all change. Maybe we can go from in. to mm. I can handle 15mm of snow. LOL

Yesterday was both busy and a bust of a day. I wasn't sure what I needed to do nor what time my ILs were coming up so I didn't want to get too involved with a project. I ended up making up some shower gels for the baskets. They are my easy, filler products. I am only adding fragrance oils to a premade base. The hardest part is labeling them- trying to get the labels on evenly without letting them stick to my fingers at the same time is always fun

My ILs came up around 3 pm and my FIL insisted on blowing our leaves. we kept telling him that the next time the wind blew they would be back. But he is stubborn, In case you were wondering where Gary and Scott for it from- it is 100% genetic! hahahaha!
Ray had another episode of sorts, I am thinking it is possibly a seizure. I have no experience with seizures in my pets. Just about every other darn condition but no seizures. Today I am going to spend as much time with her as I can. I also need to bake some more cookies- two different kinds of shortbreads so not difficult. I have a few more things I need to crochet and assemble. At some point, I need to start wrapping and figure out what some of my scribbled notes are. I wrote down something that I purchased for Caitlyn and I have NO IDEA what it is.

Still haven't had time or motivation to scrap. :(

Kay- how nice to sleep that long! Seems like you did a good job of bandaging your hand so you could shower. I saw the photo of your dinner on FB- it looked like it came from a restaurant!

Trudy- two of you in a row bragging about how good you slept. :rollpin: JK- I am happy for you all, I can be both happy and jealous at the same time.
Congrats (I think!) on the painting order! I mean, it is awesome but woah, no pressure or anything, right?
I feel bad too, I thought that I was going to have more time to be here for the party but it seemed like my life is spinning out of control no matter how hard I try to get it together.

Jean- hope the Browns played a good game. I saw the headline that Cleveland is changing their baseball team name. Good for them! Any ideas what it will be?

Nancy- My dad is the same way, he doesn't mind going shopping at 7 am as soon as the doors open, there is usually only a few other people there too.
I was watching some video clips of the UPS/Fed Ex trucks rolling out yesterday and I was getting choked up-- how crazy that I am all mushy over 18 wheelers. We are excited about the vaccines but concerned for Gary and Caitlyn since we aren't 100% sure that this one will be ok for them. My dad is ready to go, he is planning on the shoulder replacement surgery and I know that he wants the vaccine before it if he can. Think Luther will have fun in the snow today?

Cheryl- when was the last time you saw snow? I would never leave FL if I lived there if I was only considering the weather.
Make sure this Trey is a good match for Ava and treats her well or Aunt Chris is gonna have something to say. hahaha!

Kay- a great idea to share your link to FB! How was the family chat?

Rae- I saw the pic of your tree too, I am happy that you have it up. Even if it brings you a little bit of cheer, that is better than none. Hugs and hang in there.
Is Fargo streaming? We are almost out of TV to watch again. We are on Episode 3 of the British Sherlock Holmes (Thanks, Nancy!) but maybe Fargo would be a good series to watch.

I have been thinking of Noel too. I am thrilled that he is responding to the IV fluids. Give him more treats from me too. Yesterday when I couldn't get Ray up after she fell, I sobbed and sobbed. I hate this part and already I am swearing I won't do it again. (yes, I will... but for now, it hurts so much) Hugs, love, and support to you and your fam as well.

Felis- I can't crochet and watch TV at the same time either. When I would crochet after my surgeries I would put something on that I didn't care about for noise but not anything that I had to pay attention to.
I will gladly send you all of the snow we are getting this week! And yes, I was shocked when your cats liked it!

xoxo

Morning ladies! Happy Monday! I had a toss and turn night last night. I did not get out of bed until 7:45, but really dragging my butt today! My Gary spent the day yesterday in the garage, putting on his winter tires on his truck. Yes he actually did it this year LOL. I told him now you have put the double whammy on winter and we won't get any snow at all this year! First the snowblower, now the winter tires! LOL. That's ok I will be happy if there is no snow this year. DH however is doing lots of snow blowing in his sleep and really wants to try out his new machine. After putting on his tires, he went to work on constructing a very large cradle wood canvas for the painting I need to get working on. This one will be 36X48 inches, the client wants it done in West Coast Rain forest colours, so now I am digging through my paint stash to see if I have enough paints. I need to drop off a Norwex order to a customer this morning so I might have to pop into the local art supply store to stock up on paints. I managed to get all of my cleaning and :washing: done yesterday, so today I will get busy mixing up some paints. Like Chris I still have no motivation or time to scrap, but maybe once I get my paints mixed up I will.

Chris - Ohhh poor Ray!! That is what happened to poor Storm, our son's dog she started having seizures. I really don't think there is much you can do once they start seizing, except to be there for them and give them lots of loving once it stops! My heart breaks for you and your family!! So hard to watch our pets go through this! I hope that you have a better day with your Ray today! Nice that your FIL wanted to help with the fallen leaves, he sounds just like my FIL stubborn as the day is long LOL. I truly hope that your life stops spinning out of control!

Jean - Oh that puzzle looks so great! I always wanted to take that trip across the province in that train! I hope you enjoy working on it together!

Nancy - I am glad that you got your shopping done early! That is when the In-Laws go too, they don't have the option to do online shopping at their local grocery store, so its nice to get there early when there aren't so many people!

Cheryl - It will be a different winter for you and your family! Not the warm sunny weather, but I think that you are all going to be ok with that! I am not sure I would like to live in a place where the weather doesn't change much all year round.

Rae - I saw your tree on facebook too! It looks beautiful! I am glad that it has brought you some joy!

Felis - I could not do anything crafty while watching tv either! Glad that you are enjoying some quiet time getting things done!

Well I better get dressed and get out the door as I am to drop off this order at 9:30 and I haven't even had my shower yet. Hope the art supply store will be open this early! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. Made stir fry for the family last night (mine minus the chicken). They both love it so that will be a weekly meal to make. Ended up watching an episode of Coroner with Jen, no binge watching as she got home from work too late. D and I watched Star Trek Discovery until she got home. Quiet night.

Chris - hugs for what you are going thru with Ray.

I'm going to go do some meal planning before starting work and at lunchtime have to take Taz for his nail clipping. Another quiet day ahead.

Trudy - we crossposted. Can't wait to see the painting when it's done. We ended up not getting the snow blower as Jen and I had talked about it and decided that the expense of it right now was not a good idea as I'm not working much in December. If we get snowed in for a few days, D or J have snow tires and will park on the street where the snow gets plowed so we'll have vehicles to use. But I know when we eventually get one, D is going to be so excited.

good day! Today is a total rain day. If it cools down we may get some snow but they are still predicting lots of snow for Wed. I will believe it when I see it. But good to have the rain as it is needed. They lowered the level in the river so that there will be no flooding. Last night the town held a parade where Santa made stops at various homes in a predetermined order and presents were left at the doors. No contact! It was pretty cool. Some got police and some got fire department. It was really cool! My DH final got his approval to go in to work. He has live frogs he has to take care of. Not much else going on.

Chris that was awesome that your FIL wanted to blow leaves. Your family is the best. Have fun with your Christmas projects. So sorry that Ray is have these episodes. I am sure it is scary.

Trudy it seems that your whammy on snow may have pushed it all to the east. LOL. I do like snow. Hope it passes Chris by though. Congrats on the painting. That is awesome. I cant wait to see it.

Rae I saw your tree on FB - it is gorgeous. Have fun with Taz!

Cheryl OK will be cooler. I came from AZ and I love the change of seasons.

Jean I love that puzzle. I would so love to do the train through the Rockies. Like Chris I am glad to see the Cleveland baseball team is changing its name. Are you going to send in suggestions.

Felis how is the sewing going?

Have a great day all!

Good afternoon my lovely OZIES.

Chris, I responded to your post about seizures - I'm so sorry you're going through this. Yes, this is the bad part of having our pets. I always say never again - doesn't work. I need them in my life. Sending you lots and lots of doggy hugs for Ray. Bless her heart. Just remember (and I hope this doesn't make you cry) - we'll see all of them again someday.

WOW! I made myself tear up. Moving on - I'm going to tell Trey that Auntie Chris is coming for him if he mistreats Ava!! You scare me so I know you'll scare him. ROTF We didn't get to meet him last night because the weather turned so bad - the roads were like glass and he was pulling a boat, behind his truck, to his parents' house which is an hour away. I was worried about Braden too because he was out with Hayden's family on the terrible slick roads. We're SO not used to this.

I know people think we're crazy for leaving Florida - maybe we are just a bit, but believe me, nobody knows how ghastly hot it is down there (unless you've lived there)! We used to get a few weeks of relief and that was about it. The summers are dreadfully hot and HUMID!! Ideally, one should live down there in the winter only - if one had the money for two homes. LOL

We haven't seen snow for about 8 years, but it seems like forever. We had to go back up north, in the winter, once and it was snowing then.

Trudy, I have missed the changing seasons a lot - especially spring and fall - I really soaked up every day of fall here. I honestly never minded winter - even though we lived in Michigan. It was so beautiful up there - every season! It isn't that cold here, you're right about that. The winters are pretty mild, from what everybody says. It's supposed to warm up here in the next couple of days.

The painting you're starting sounds so beautiful and of course, I also want to see it!

Nancy I know we are going to love having the 4 seasons again. I always said that Florida was "hot and hotter".

For those of you who toss and turn, I did that for years and have finally lassoed my inability to sleep. I drink "Sleepy Time Extra" tea (which Chris can't drink) about 30 minutes to an hour before I plan to get in bed. You have to give it time to work. I also made myself a "Sleep Playlist" several years ago and have slept in ear buds - now air pods for years. I have my music set, on my phone, to automatically shut off after 2 hours. It took me a long time to re-program myself, but it's like instant hypnosis now - I hear the music, I fall asleep. They sell sleep music, but I made my own playlist. Took me a long time to get it perfected.

I need to go help DH peel potatoes. We're making a big pot of soup for us and the kids tonight.

Hugs to everybody.
