Happy Monday to you all!

It is chilly but sunny here in New Jersey but I cannot wait until tomorrow- sunny and 70*. It was supposed to be rainy all day today so I have today scheduled (scheduled hahahaha!! As if I have any sort of "schedule" hahaha!!) *takes a breath and recovers mental state* Where was I? Oh yeah, I scheduled desk work for today... Maybe if I can get myself focused I can get everything done that I have to do and then head out. Yesterday was so darn cold, it didn't break 60*, but I ended up in the backyard for an hour or so anyway. My nose was so cold when I came in. But I am happy that I was able to clear another small area and planted some of the forsythia runners behind the little area of flowers. The hostas and liriope are looking good so far! I also got to see a baby salamander. I think he was a red-backed salamander and wow, he was tiny, like a 2" piece of yarn. Very cute!

Aside from being outside, I didn't do much of anything- aggravated myself over that. I have some of the food order ready but most of everything that I wanted to do never got done. I put everything back on my list for today and now I am I'm bribing myself that if I get it all finished, I will be allowed to go back outside. I have to treat myself like I am a toddler and maybe I will behave. :D

Have a great day, my dears!

@taxed4ever I am so jealous!!! What a wonderful time you must have had at the nursery and then to get everything into the pots. I don't blame you for putting anything on the back deck if you can't be out there. But you are right the view from the front is always amazing. I love when you share pics from there.
The silhouette must be a blast to work with. I cant wait to see your projects- how funny that Hunter wants Bowser. I have picked him as my character a few times when we play Mario Kart.
Scott sounded less than thrilled for work today. He has to sit in the parking lot of one very small park- a parking lot and baseball field that no one goes to- it is where I thought both kids to drive the first times out and to parallel park- and tell anyone (as if!) that comes by that the park is closed. For six hours. But it is decent money and it is somewhere to go. Could be worse, right? :D

@bcgal00 What is a No Pull Leash and where do you get them??? W does fantastic with the halter but J-- she is a nightmare to walk. I am so darn happy about how much better she is doing with everything. Yay!

@Cherylndesigns Ya gotta break the boyfriends in slowly, right?? heh! If they keep coming back you know that you are on the right track. Ava is non-stop, where does she get that from? Youth... wish I still had some of that... She makes me tired just reading about everything that she does. :p The shutters must look incredible. When are the wagon wheels going to be up?

@nancyr I am so happy for you and your family. Such a good thing to happen and it sounds like they are going to be very happy together. It must have been a fantastic feeling to be together celebrating. Congrats on getting back into bike riding!! Good for you!
It warmed up for you guys, it was really so cold up here. Luther must be enjoying the nicer weather, get him out while you can. In another month or so he isn't going to want to go anywhere.
I am with you-- we all need an Ava in our lives hah!!

I am already running behind schedule, better go! xoxo

Morning, gals. Chris, we are suppose to have sunny and warm - 70* with light winds, too. Suppose to be like that all week. Sure hope it is as then we could sit out on the back patio and enjoy the spring weather. Hope the winds stay light as I need to spray the weeds that popped up in the rock front yard. It is a chore that has to be done at least twice each summer. That is better than having to mow grass....

Spent a couple of hours yesterday working on photos on the computer. Have some old family photos - 1902 to 1960 - on a CD but saved in a .tiff format. I brought them into PSE and changed then saved them as jpeg. Then spent time organizing them into family folders so I know which ones to put on Sister's memory stick. I had a mixture of my family and DH's family photos together in a folder - so separated them into different folders as I know that Sister doesn't want my DH's family history photos. Not sure if my niece will want copies of the family photos or not. Have quite a few photos of her mom (our oldest sister) and her family. Just realized that I don't have photos from both Mom and Dad's 40th and 50th Anniversary parties scanned in. Will work on that today while I wait for Sister to arrive.

Cheryl, sounds like you hair is as long and my DD#1's hair. Her hair reached below mid-back. Couldn't see your photos as I am not an Instagram user. So glad you and Ava got most of the shutters hung.

Chris, sounds like Scott's job could be from busy to boring depending on which park he is working. Did he have a book to read or something to do while he waiting at the park that was closed?? Glad you were able to get outside and work in the yard.

Trudy, great choice to put the flower pots on the balcony where you spend time. Ugh about your bad neighbors. We had bad neighbors beside us at the house before this one. When we added the sunroom on, we had a solid wall put toward his place so he couldn't see in... so understand your wish for a tall noise-blocking fence. I need to haul some of my pots out to the back yard and plant some of my day-lily bulbs in them.

Not sure how often I will get back in this week due to my visitors being here.

Good Monday morning everyone! It is another sunny and warmish day! Well yesterday did not turn out the way we had planned  After getting some breakfast, I hopped in the shower and DH started a new wine, he got it all put into the primary fermentor (large 5 gallon bucket with a lid). I was drying my hair when he came into the bathroom screaming for me to come quick and help! I go into the kitchen and the whole floor is covered in white wine!!!! Yup 5 gallons of new very expensive white wine !! It took most of the day to get it all cleaned up and still the laminate flooring is mushy and sticky after washing the floors about 10 times!! So I think that we will be calling the insurance company to put in a claim and we will be getting new flooring. So much for enjoying a day outside yesterday! :(. Now I need to look into our insurance policy and get a call into them. DH is alone at his job today, so he will not have the time to do that. It is horrible that everytime I step onto the kitchen floor, it feels mushy and my flip flops, slippers or bare feet get all sticky and then it tracks all over the rest of the house. Ugh!! The only bright side is that perhaps we will get all new flooring upstairs as the wine made its way into the hallway also. What a crap day we had yesterday! My Poor Gary felt so bad, but the darn handle had broken off of the bucket and when it hit the floor is literally exploded. Guess he will be getting a few more new buckets too. What can you do I couldn't be mad at him, after all it was an accident!

@faerywings - I am happy to hear that you are finally going to get some warmer weather! It will feel so good for you to be out in the yard again and not freezing your butt off! Yes our little Hunter loves Bowser and says all the time "Me Bowser, not Hunter". LOL. Sorry that Scott will be bored to tears today, but hey he is getting good money to be bored! Hope he has something to keep his mind occupied and off of the mystery buttons in the vehicle he drives LOL. I never got to even turn my silhouette machine on yesterday as everything in the area where my computer is was covered in wine and I had to empty my desk and get the bottom of it all wiped off before I could put it back where it belonged. It was a long day!!

@BrightEyes - How exciting to be expecting your sister to arrive soon! I know she will be so grateful for all of the work you have done with the photos! I hope that the weather cooperates for you while she is there! I can just imagine you sitting out on your patio catching up and having such a nice visit!

@nancyr - Yes finally our Bruins are looking like the team that they can be! Thanks for the great additions from the Devils team! We have won four in a row. Your Devils will be great when your young players get some more experience under their belts! The youngsters have such great speed!! I am so happy that you are now a member of the grandparents club! You will love it! So jealous of your bike riding, I keep saying to my Gary that we should get bikes, there are so many great trails around here and the trans Canada trails are nice and wide and meant for bike riding, no traffic other than the other bike riders or people out walking.

Ok I better get that phone call in soon and get going with this insurance claim, UGH!! Have a great Monday everyone!

Good afternoon my lovelies.

Sounds like most of you had a busy weekend. Isn't it grand that the weather is finally going to get nice??? It's almost 70 here, but we're due for a couple of cold nights. We just hung all the ferns on the porch (4 of them) and we'll have to bring them in. It's supposed to get down to freezing tomorrow night.

SIL's much better! He's having an MRI this week just to check a little further, but he thinks the new antibiotics are working now. He sprayed our front gardens with weed killer yesterday and they're dead already. Had a great weed crop. We need to lay down that weed barrier now and then I'm going to go get plants. I'm going to keep it simple this year and add to it this fall when I plant some hardy mums.

Kay @BrightEyes sorry you couldn't see the pics. I'll add them on here in a minute.

Hello girls! Yesterday I posted only my cat basket as like I expected life distract me. We had to spend way more time at my job that it usually takes, because there was another technical issues. We just started again and there is already lots of problems and mistakes, but at least this time things were better scheduled and there wasn't line and lots of people with the supervisor.
I'm afraid that you'll have to listening me to talk about crochet for some more time as I'm over excited about challenge that I found on IG. It's called AmigurMay and obviously will take parts during whole May https://airalidesign.com/en/amigurumay-2021-instagram-challenge/ . It's calling you to take 30 amigurumi related photos, and make around 5-15 amigurumi! I'm so so excited. Already plan. I was feeling that there must be something to happen, something which to be the poanta point of the whole this journey, the culmination of this story. And then this came. Don't worry, I'll not drowning you in crochet stories, but yes I plan to scrap some of these photos too. Double use. ;)

Chris, I could write the similar post like your with only difference that here is rainy week again and no chance to see me outside! I'm frustrated too that my plans are only on list and the days fly letting me tired, without actually things to be finished. But hey work in progress is work too!

Trudy, OMG so sorry for so many high quality wine going on waste! Here when someone accidentally spills drink or drop food we said that ''souls of our ancestors'' are thirsty/hungry. I think yours are made party. LOL! There must be some way this to be cleaned! But then new floor don't sounds so bad! Can Gary do it or will have other people to come (o, this option don't sounds so safe at the moment). I know you'll love the results!

Kay, hope that you'll have that nice weather and can have some time gardening! Hmm, wasn't you considering to hire someone to do mowing/weeding for you last year, or I'm mistaken?

Cheryl, what a lovely long hair you have! You looks amazing! I'm always love that idea, but never can do it, as working with animals wants long hours on ponytail and bun, which tire my hair's structure. Happy to hear that your SIL is better! And I'm excited to see your autumn gardening projects! Did you see on IG Story my Middleton sleeping at the flowers bed few days ago?! This dog takes the things way too literally!  How is Daisy about digging and play at flowers?
