Happy Monday!!! I am trying to channel every last bit of Sally today. The weekend was so quiet and relaxing (boring but I guess, necessary). I feel like I slept more than I was awake.

Cait and Gary had been on a 5 day search for a new rabbit hutch for her bunny. Her rabbit is gi-normous and really needs more room. So they researched and measured and read reviews. It made me really happy to hear them laugh together. Cait and I also had some time to talk. She told me that she and Scott miss me in the afternoons when I am sleeping. I used to make sure that I would spend time with them after they got home from school, but now I am laying down usually. She said they know this is temporary and they can't wait for me to feel better. I made an effort to spend time with her yesterday, sitting on her floor playing with Bunny. I really missed that too.

I finally finished the one scrap page that was taking me forever, and then did one more. We have some really great challenges coming up in May.

Today I have stupid phone calls to make to the kids' health insurance co, the hospital and then work.

Me Me Monday:
A nap!!! hahahaha!! What else is new???

Woo hoo Laurie- did you get the scrapping done? I worked a bit on paper clutter too- newspapers and such. Some old receipts. I still have more to do, but every little bit helps.
Have you gotten any news about the estimate on your basement?

Oh Trudy! That sounds like so much work, I hope you are not in too much pain.

Sara, I am going to have to come live with you. The zoo project sounds just amazing!!!!
The beers sounds -- interesting? Have you tried any of the Sam Adams seasonal beers? They are usually pretty good.

Nancy- "FOMOH " That is a riot!!!!

Eva- did you dye your hair yet?

Phyllis- hope the eye is getting better!

Love and hugs to ALL!
Hope that you all have a terrific day!

Trying to plan our trip in August. Gee, I hate numbers. And knowing that the numbers are for REAL money that we are going to spend makes it even less fun. Oh, I know the trip will be fun - but I'm not totally sure we can afford it. Well, we do have the money (I think) but it's really cutting into our savings. One thing happens with the house/car/whatever and we're toast. On the other hand - seeing John as happy as he was in Manchester - it's worth living on the street, eating garbage for the rest of my life ;)

The hotel we stayed at last year is already full :( Found another one - a little bit more expensive, but the same walking distance to the venue. Will check a couple of other hotels now, but I'm really not that keen on having any longer walk in Manchester at night.

and no ... not dyed my hair yet. Plan is tonight when DH is home from work and can help me.

good morning sun is shining and that is good. Rain should come but not until tomorrow. Had an unexpected dinner out. My son and his wife were at a flee market and we met them for dinner at a near by micro brewery. It was really really good. The kids were able to get this beer sampler and I am not a beer drinker but they seemed to like most of them. It was fun we all laughed a lot but the neatest thing was there was a red tailed hawk just sitting on top of a light pole in a parking lot right across from the restaurant and I got up and went to see if I could get a photo but all I had was my iPhone and I have to say he sat there and let me get pretty close. It was awesome. Came home and watched hockey and the Ducks win in OT. Three more games tonight.

Chris glad you are resting! And insurance calls are the worst.

Trudy hope the day was great!

Phylis hope the rain and storms avoid your area!

Laurie time management is hard for me. Being retired I always feel I can do it tomorrow.

Eva good luck with planning a trip.

Have a great day all!

Hope everyone is surviving Monday!

I'm back from a wonderful sunny weekend in southern Ohio where it got WARM by afternoon. We attended a conference of the state ornithological society at a park lodge. We had super birding and saw some rare plants and a new to us butterfly.

Next weekend is the state genealogical conference, so we'll be off again. Don't think I can spend much time here as a result but will still be thinking of you all. Not sure what I was thinking attending both, but when they're past I know I'll be glad.

These seconds make me realizing it's worth every penny & all the planning:

I'm standing to the right with a green shirt & a Pinkie Pie bag taking out my camera. John right beside me and you see him coming into the hug from the right. The hug grew to almost double size after this guy ended filming & joined the hug as well. This is MY son - who really hates being in large groups and isn't a people person at all. But there's something about being one geek among 1000 geeks that make you feel so at home.

Morning ladies... a lovely sunny day today, why could it not have been this way yesterday?? We worked on and off all day with the weather, as it rained on and off all day long! My back is sore, but I will live LOL.

Chris - Hope you manage to get your scrapping done today! How sweet that the kids are missing their mom in the afternoons, but you need your sleep and I am sure that they know this! It will soon be all over with and life can return to normal.

Laurie - I was so happy that you did not have to deal with too much family drama the other day! Good luck with your time management!! WTH is that anyway LOL

Eva - Hope you can find a less expensive hotel to stay in, but sometimes spending the extra $ is worth it, even if you have to scrimp and save, at least you will have a happy man, happy family!!

Nancy - Glad that you are getting some sunshine today too. How awesome that you got to be so close tot he hawk!! Have fun watching hockey tonight. I don't know if I can watch the Bruins and the Canadians tonight, they just make me so upset with the terrible officiating, it seems like the ref's favour the Canadian team, I know I am being silly, but it just gets my goat!! My Bruins seem to let the Canadians get inside their heads and always have a difficult time playing them, although I am sure they will beat them eventually!

Ok I have been sitting here of a long time as my DD face timed with me so I can talk to her and Mason while he has his lunch. But oh my back is so stiff from sitting here, so I better get my yoga done and make my back feel a bit better. Hope you all have some sunshine in you lives today!!
