It's here, it's here, it's HEEEEERE!!!!!
Nope, not iNSD (although that *is* pretty darn awesome). It's the sun! :sunout: Finally, there is a blue sky and sunshine. Lemme tell ya, that makes me happy as a clam at high tide. I used to use an different animal reference but this one is a little more family-friendly Haha. Either way, my weather app shows the sun allll week and that makes me very happy, clam or pig..

I am blond again. Whew. It had been a year since I had my whole head highlighted so the underneath had 6-7 inches of roots. I usually get full-head done in the spring and a half-head done in the late fall. My greys break up the brown roots so it's not such a harsh line. Cait wants me to let it grow in silver, but I am not there yet. I'm still more mousey brown than grey.
Today is FP and then off to buy some tomato plants and zucchini. Scott wants me to give zucchini another shot- I don't have good luck with them, but I'm willing to try. I don't think I need any flowers. (Need is different than Want, Faery.)

That's my day today-- outside, outside, and more outside!!

PS: My Finish it Friday- totally didn't happen. I was so unmotivated to do anything yesterday. So I did nothing. ;)

What fun plans do you have going on this on weekend? Is the weather nice where you are too? I really hope so.
Love and hugs!

@vickyday FYI-- I am pretty sure Bath and Body Works is fine, Bed Bath and Beyond is the one that filed for bankruptcy. Don't quote me on BB&W but BB&B is correct.
Glad to hear that you and Mark are doing better, may that continue! Good luck and lots of patience to you for getting the albums done :sparkles1:

@taxed4ever Awww, what a sweet kitty. The owner was pretty darn brave to put the hat on him LOL The Guac dip sounds so good. I love avocadoes and would love that dip. Sounds pretty easy, and ya know what? I have all of the ingredients! Only one avocado and who knows what it looks like inside but perhaps, I will make that with dinner tonight...
I hope that Heather's weather is sunnier too, between being cooped up and the full moon, I bet the boys have lots of extra energy to burn.
Were you able to get any scrapping done? The Murder LO was the only one I have done so far this month. I did so many in April (trying to catch up on Christopher's book-- why do I wait until the last minute?? GAH!) and I feel 100% uncreative/unmotivated/uninspired.
That would be awesome to try a murder mystery game when everyone is together this summer. Most of the games need 6-8 people so you would have that.:)
Please tell me you got some screenshots of the boys and their dance moves. Although if I were you, I would have been laughing too hard to think of it. They are so darn cute, was Poochie in on it as well? :lovey3:

@Cherylndesigns Can't wait to see your pictures!

@@bcgal00 Welcome back, Rae!!!!! I hope that you are all rested by the time you read this. If not, be sure to take your time getting acclimated to"real life" again.
I think that the runs back and forth to find your luggage burned off most of the food calories from the trip :rotfl:
Seriously though, what a mess that was and I'm breathing a big sigh of relief for you that you found it and made the flight in time.
Sooo sweet to come home to happy pups and lots of kisses and tail wagging.

After Tim died I dyed my hair. It was long and I looked about 10 years younger (at least that's what I was told, lol). Maybe that's how I got the younger hubby, LOL! Anyway, I just got tired of having to mess with it. Mark doesn't care either way! He likes it no matter how I fix it.....let it go! When I told him I was thinking about cutting it he didn't care. So off it went.

Good morning ladies. Yesterday went by in a blur. Lots of time at the dog park, watching the workers in the yard (,they won't be back now until Monday but should hopefully have the yard finished mid week) and got groceries. Jen painted my bedroom while I was gone (the previous paint job was a bit patchy) but it smelled terrible. Did some research and it looks like the paint can hadn't been sealed up properly when the previous owners had painted the room with it so it went rancid and developed bacteria in it. Jen knew it smelled awful but figured it would go away and never thought it was anything to worry about. So today her and I (not Darrell b/c his shoulder is bugging him) will wash the walls with a bleach solution and let it dry today, then tomorrow we may have to do it again. That should hopefully kill the bacteria and then she will paint it again later next week. She'll be heading into Vancouver for a few days first.

The dogs are thrilled to have me home and we have played and cuddled a lot. Remi thought since I was home we would go back to our regular routine, meaning we would go out into the yard to play with her red squeaky toy that I throw for her. She spent a lot of time staring at the cabinet outside on the patio where the basket would usually be with the outside toys. Once the yard is done next week the dogs are going to be ecstatic to get back out there to play.

Today I want to load photos and continue with laundry. I'll head to the dog park around 11 and then this afternoon we'll bleach wash to walls.

@faerywings I bet it feels good to have your hair done again. Enjoy being outside today.

@vickyday Yes, it is Bed Bath & Beyond that is closing, not B&BW.

Well, I finally made it in here - Adrienne and I have been out and about most of the day. We always revive each other and have fun together. She was really tired when she picked me up, but we went to Starbucks and each splurged on a Carmel Peppermint Maciotto - very rich, but with a couple of extra shots of caffein in them. Boy, I tell you what - when you get to the crushed-up peppermint, it's like crack. :cucumber:goofysmile1

I haven't told you girls but I've been on a mission to find the low cut tennis shoes (think Converse or Chuck's). I ordered two pairs from Amazon and one pair was too big and the next were too small. I needed a half size and they didn't make that. We returned my shoes to UPS today and went to this out of the way shoe store in our little town. Anyway, I hit paydirt - I found red and black ones (Converse style) but NOT at Converse prices. Then I found THE cutest pair of leopard print ballet flats. I LOVE ballet flats and have different colors but didn't have leopard print. My total for all three pairs of shoes was only $60.

We finished Damages last night on Hulu. It's been a long one, but we've totally enjoyed it. Glynn Close is in it and it ran on regular TV for about 6 years. Totally worth watching if any of you are looking for something to watch. Don't know what we're going to watch now, though.

Chris @faerywings hooray for being blonde again. I'm sure you look amazing. Itn's it great to be pampered? It's been a couple of years since I went and had anything done to mine. I cut my own bangs about every other week, and cut the length when it needs it. I even color it myself. I remember when I went and had my hair colored and cut that I posted pics on here. it's still really long and curly. I bought a new product today at Walgreen's that's spray and leave it - just let it curl. It's a new product that I haven't seen before. I'm anxious to try it. Adrienne and I stopped in there on our way out of town.

Okay, Chris @faerywings here are some pictures for you of my Black-Eyed Susan vines. They're more orange than I remembered, but my plant identifier said that they were part of that family which is part of the mum family.

Arch-in-front-of-walk.jpg

Here's the arch that they're going to (hopefully) cover - we put it up last fall.

Waving to everybody - have a great weekend.

More sunshine. YEAHHHH baby!
@tanteva -- I'm trying to send it along to you, hope it gets to Sweden!

How is everyone doing today? I slept pretty darn well last night and had no weird dreams that I can remember. I'll take it- yes! :)
I probably slept like a rock because I spent so much time outside. FP was busy and semi-disorganized and it took almost an hour to get my bags. *NOT* that I am complaining, Not even a little. Gary came with me, I asked him to so if there is ever a day I can't go and we need stuff, he would be able to do it on his own. (Honestly, he wouldn't but if he had no choice, he knows what to do). We stopped at the garden center and got a few tomato plants and a basil plant. I spent the entire afternoon cleaning off the patio. It's nowhere close to being done but it looks 100 times better than it did.
I am heading back out there today and then I will need to get cleaned up and head to my brother's house for Christopher's birthday dinner. Caitlyn and Tom are coming with me, Scott working and Gary's stomach is still in bad shape. I will have to check in with my brother to see if there is anything he needs me to bring other than something for Tom to eat.

Still no scrap inspiration. :(
Not even a little bit.
Maybe tomorrow.

Have a fun day goofysmile1

@vickyday Gary wouldn't care either way what I did with my hair, I could probably get a buzzcut and wouldn't even notice LOL! For now, I like it long and blond. I just wish my face didn't look so old.
Does anyone have a cure for bags under the eyes?? Mine are genetic but they have gotten incredibly huge and dark over the last several years. I never wanted plastic surgery but if there was something for the bags... that would be a game changer.
Were you able to get all of the LOs uploaded and the albums ordered?

@bcgal00 That was so sweet of Jen to paint your room while you were gone. Stinks (literally) that it has to be done again. Hope you only needed the one bleach-washing. Are you still getting lots of dog kisses? Poor Remi, I can totally imagine the longing on her face wanting to play ball with you.
I love the avatar even if it is a little blurry ♥ -- All of the photos you shared were amazing so you should have plenty to choose from.

@Cherylndesigns I need one of those caffeine pumpers in my house. LOL! Hhe, back when I was really sick, I could barely move/function mentally or physically. LLMD prescribed Provigil to take when I was struggling to keep my eyes open. I called them my Zippy Pills because they revved me up and I zipped around. Then they wore off and I crashed.
How fun to get some cute new shoes! It's nice when you can shop locally and get exactly what you need and want :lovey3:
Please tell me what hair product you got for your hair and if you like it. I can never get the right balance of curl/softness/crunch. I've been sleeping in a satin-lined bonnet on Caitlyn's advice to keep it from getting too tangled. But if you have a product that keeps it curly but not frizzy, I need to know :D
Those Susie Vines are gorgeous, what wonderful color! They will look incredible over the arch!

Morning ladies… I was MIA yesterday, but just had to pop in to tell you that today is the day that we are finally going to get our kayaks in the water!! Hooray! Not sure how long we stay out on the lake, we don’t want to get too sore. The last time I went out on a kayak we were out there for far too long and I sure paid for it! It looks like the weather is going to cooperate for us and hopefully the wind stays away! I worked for quite a while on my painting yesterday and it’s almost done, but not happy with the way the turtles back/shell came out so I will have to re-do it. Would love to get this project completed over the next couple of days. I also completed a sweet little baby book for our nephew and his girlfriend I will try to get a video of it posted here in the next little while. Like @faerywings I have no scrapping mojo right now, but maybe once I get everything else crossed off of my to do list for this month I will be inspired to get scrapping! I have to make a Mother’s Day card for MIL and a birthday card for Jonah.

@faerywings - What a good idea to have your Gary come along to the FP with you! Hopefully he will never have to go for you though, we don’t want to hear that you are too sick to go!! Happy to hear that the sun has come out for you and that it looks like it will stay for awhile too!. Yay you got to the garden centre! Hope you get the rest of your cleaning done on the patio, you will be glad to have that job all done! Say Happy Birthday to Christopher from all us here at the O!! I can’t believe how fast the year has gone and that he is another year older already!! Enjoy the birthday dinner! Sorry that Gary’s stomach is not doing well though and I hope he feels good enough to go with you!

@bcgal00 - Ugh on having to sleep in your stinky bedroom when you got home, but hopefully the bleach wash cleans up the bacteria and the smell!! The dogs will be so happy to have the backyard all completed and I bet they will be keeping you busy out there. Looking forward to seeing all the photos from your beautiful cruise, you will have lots to work with for your scrap pages!

@Cherylndesigns - Ohhh I love your beautiful arch and it will be so pretty once your plants climb all the way around it, such a pretty colour!

Ok it’s time to get some brunch for DH and myself. I think it will be sausages and eggs today and some berries with Greek yogurt. Have a lovely day everyone! I will get my DH to take some photos of the launch today! Yippee!! :camera::bye2:

Good morning ladies. Busy day ahead. Groceries, laundry, dog park, unpacking, loading photos onto computer and we have to go to the hardware store for shellac primer to cover the bedroom walls as the bleach didn't work. The bacteria has seeped into the drywall. So we have to paint the shellac overtop to seal and kill off the bacteria and then will repaint again next week. I am sleeping in the spare bedroom for now. Ugh.

@faerywings Have fun at the b-day party.

@taxed4ever Have fun kayaking today!

I need to get dressed and carry on with my day. HAGD everyone.

Good afternoon all.
Chris @faerywings happy birthday to Christopher. Yes, it was fun to get new shoes and at such a great price. We love shopping local and for a small town, we have lots of choices. I love your name for your "zippy pills" Wish I had some. I'm glad you liked my pictures, you too Trudy @taxed4ever and does your lunch ever sound good. Now I'm hungry. Chris, the product is one I've never seen before - the line is called "Kristin LSS" and they have all kinds of products. I'm going to wash my hair today and I'll let you know if I like it and send you pics of the bottle. I've been using Garnier Curl Shape for several years - I get them in multiples from Amazon. They're pretty cheap, too. I just thought I'd try something different. I'll let you know if I like it better, because the new stuff is a lot more expensive. It better be worth it. LOL
813iqzvwqAL.jpg
As far as undereye bags - good luck. I bought some "instant eye bag remover" and it did squat for me. There's a new product called "No More Eye Bags" but it's expensive and it pulls your bags up under your eyes, some way. Whenever I put that lightener stuff on mine, I don't like the way it looks, either. Adrienne does my makeup if we're going out and she's a wizard. I always told her she could be a professional. She used to do lots of people's make up for proms and weddings. She loves doing it. She did mine for that NYE party and I couldn't believe the difference. She fusses, and I don't LOL I just throw on a bit of face makeup, some blush and lip gloss and I'm done. One thing I did do, and you might try it - I bought a really cute pair of glasses (with no magnification) and I wear them when I go out - they hide the eye problem. LOL The girls never know if I have on my "real" glasses and they want me to look at something up close and I laugh and they know I have my fake ones on.

Well, I'm "adviced out". Talk to you all later - waving to all.

Very quick in and out for me. Sydney is in Germany sound asleep in her dorm. I've done a few more boxes. Long story on the new house...we will be moving out of this one on Thursday 5/25 and we hope to move in to a new one on Friday 5/26. I won't bore you with the many ups and downs...there have been many. Even this afternoon. But, fingers crossed, we will have a nice 3 day weekend to unpack and settle in 19 days. I'm tired...and heading to bed at 9:00. But I love all of you guys and I promise I'll be around more before long!

I had to come back and read about your hair product review. I have curly hair, too. It can be very curly but has lots of frizz, too, unless I use mousse! Does this Fructis fight against frizzies? The one shown above? I need to check out the curly girl videos you mentioned in a post, too. Right now my hair is about shoulder length and I have been blowing it dry with just a tad bit of flat iron on top to get rid of the top layer of frizzies.

Yes, Vicky the Frutiis product I posted is what I've used for years. My hair is very long - mid back lenth. Yes, it definitely fightts the frizzies. We lived in Florida for many years, as you know - that's the gold standard of hair frizzies. Honestly, for the price, in my opinion, this product can't be beat. It says it's a spray, but it's very thick, almost like gel and I just pour a small amount into my hand and "crunch" it into my hair, then repear that process until all of my hair is "crunched". With the curly girl method - you NEVER brush your hair - I don't even run a comb through mine in between washings. If you brush curly frizzy hair you get a head of out of control frizz. The say to refresh your hair - just dampen it and put a little more of the hair gel in it and either let it air dry or blow dry it. I use a diffuser when I do blow mine dry. Let me see if I can find more info for you.

Just watched it! Thanks! I'll be watching more!
I'm telling you - it's a game changer. When she talks about the period your hair goes through - it does, but your hair will be all the better for it. One of the digi boards I used to belong to - there were several of us who started this process at the same time and I'm pretty sure most of us are still doing it. Remember - MORE conditioner than shampoo. Use a T shirt - not a towel.

Thanks, Cheryl I use a microfiber head wrap, I wonder if that is ok? I am going to have to watch the video soon
That's better than a heavy towel, Chris. One of the videos I watched - the girl had a "special" towel, but it looked like a microfiber to me. Just don't "wrap" it too tightly or leave it on too long. The idea is to do as little as possible until it gets dry. If you want to use a hair dryer (sometimes I have no choice) use a diffuser and low heat.
