Happy weekend lOvelies!
It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous one here! Sunny and 70's.
Today I am feeling pretty good about the Relay. Still a bit nervous about the Survivor Lap but its a good example to show my kids. And I am proud to have all of the support that I am blessed with. My parents are coming, my kids and their SO's, Scott's GF's mom, who lost her husband to cancer, and maybe my IL's. And my friend who convinced me to do this keeps saying how proud she is of me, all of that means so much to me. Plus-- I have raised over $200 for the American Cancer Society. I wish it was that easy to raise money for Lyme Disease research and awareness, though
When I was at the dr on Thurs, my BP was up, 153/88 IIRC. Yesterday I was at ShopRite and I got very dizzy. I was near the Pharmacy so I thought I could try the BP monitor to see if it was still high. Well, that darn thing needed me to put my left arm in the cuff, but I can't because my PICC in in my left arm. So i tried it with my right arm, leaning over with my butt in the air. Needless to say, that didn't work. At all. LOL I had to get blood drawn so I popped into my Dr's office and had them do a quick measure. Still on the high end of normal but at least better than it was. I am going to have to keep an eye on it though. My mom has very high BP when it is not controlled-- it was stuck at 220/140 for a long time when I was younger-- that is scary-high.
I am going to try and get some scrapping done today/tomorrow too. I asked my very devious daughter (JK! It's me that is the devious one!) to get my mom to bring up her wedding album to look at, which I am going to keep and scan pics from it. Its going to be non-stop scrapping to get it all done in time.
Hope that you all have a lovely wonderful day. When I walk the Survivor-Caregiver Lap, I will be thinking off all of you. You supported me in this from Day One and I love you all for that!
xoxo
