Wow!! What a day the weather gave us yesterday!:bliss:

It was over 60* and mostly sunny. We even opened some windows and let some fresh air in. I didn't dread going outside with the dogs even it W only wanted to sniff the air again and again. After dinner, we had some big thunderstorms- lightning and everything. Unfortunately, the rain and melted snow have found their way into our basement.

The soap and hard water buildup in the tub were terrible. I used a scraper to get through most of it. But it looks sparkly clean (for now). I did a bit more dusting- the dogs must produce so much dander.
I picked up 4 books at the library to keep me busy. Of Blood and Bone was the one I had On Hold and I got a couple of others that seemed interesting, including a YA one. I hope it is good since I enjoy the YA/Dystopian genre lot.

After Cait got home, we went and played with the rats. Dilly climbed into my sleeve and wouldn't come out. By the time she did, I had hives all over. Cait feels terrible that I am so allergic to them, but I don't mind. The itching goes away pretty quickly as long as I don't touch my eyes.

Today I am going to some more organizing of my BR and then order the Shutterfly book.

HAGD!

Felis- I am excited for you that your TV is being released. It is interesting to see all of the changes they have made with the female roles over the years. How awesome to have the book shared with you too. Enjoy reading them. Good luck with your internet. Hope that it stays on for you.

Trudy- what a yucky night's sleep you had and then to wake up to such horrible news. Haha!! Yes, I wanted the tub to be "Chris Clean" :pound: That is a great way of putting it.
I would love to see you make millions from your paintings, but if you can cover the supplies and some of your time, that would be great too.
Any luck finishing that LO?

Sharon- That is fantastic news about the dog w/heartworm. It really is amazing to see the transformation. Whisky is now over 50 lbs and was 28lb right before we rescued her. No more skin and bones!
I cannot imagine not seeing my kids for so long, I don't know how all of you ladies do it. Cait is going on a cruise with her boyfriend, his mom and his brother in May. It will be for 5 days and no internet or phone. We were laughing that we have never, ever been out of touch for that long. Even when she went camping for 5 days, we texted on and off throughout the day.
You must be totally excited to have her home! Will she be staying in the US for a while?

Morning, gals. So much is going on with the Win Your Wish threads now open. So neat to see so many posting in them. Good luck to all who enter! Had to go to page 2 of new posts to find this thread! LOL

Had a busy day yesterday. Got the towels in laundry done and put away. Then ran over to Sam's but they were out of my printer ink. Ended up over at BestBuy and found some. But I am debating about buying another printer. I have the low end HP and they have the high end printer with the paper scan/copy feed on sale for under $100 ($80 off)! Plus the ink that one is less than what I pay for the inks for mine. Hmmmm.... giving it some serious thought.

I forgot to say that I was invited out to dinner on Thursday. It was DD#3's anniversary and her hubby invited me to come along. Had a huge laugh as she forgot it was their anniversary!!!! This is the 2nd year she forgot it. We blame her hubby as he kept changing the date on her when they talked about when it was. We went to a (new to me) Italian place. I'm not big on Italian but it was nice. That was the 3rd 'eating out' for me this week!!!

Chris, glad you have fun with the rats but so sorry you are allergic to them. Glad the itching/rash didn't last too long. I think you will enjoy Of Blood and Bone... I like it. Glad you got some books to tide you over your recovery period. I am back to re-reading favorites again this week. I have been on a Nora Roberts kick this past week. Just got through reading Blue Smoke and Come Sundown... and about half way through The Search.

Had to LOL over you getting the tub "Chris Clean". Hope he will keep it clean for you until you can go back to taking your showers again.

Felis, glad you are getting to see the series you like and you got to read one of the books. Hope you can get the other books, too.

Trudy, so sorry that the local area won't support the sale of your art. Glad there is the internet shop that you can use.

I'm am off to do some scrapping. Have a great weekend.

Morning ladies!! I slept in until 8am :bliss: It is a lovely sunny morning and DH and I are hoping to get outside to clean up the backyard this afternoon. We will do our regular Saturday things this morning, grocery shopping etc. Then hopefully will spend the warmer afternoon do the clean up!

Chris - You are so smart to get all your books and cleaning done, so that you will be ready when the time comes for your recovery! I am glad that you got the tub all sparkly and up to your standard of "Chris" Clean!! I had no idea that you were so allergic to the rats? That is too bad, but at least the itch does not last for too long! I had a much better nights sleep last night and yesterday I did get my page done and posted to the Challenge #6 gallery. I don't normally do double pagers, but it was a good way to get the photos that I had of our trip to Versailles done. I had so many photos of that day, but choose a handful to use and not all of them or I would still be working on another double pager LOL.

Kay - How nice that your Son-In-Law invited you to their anniversary dinner! Too funny that your DD forgot it!! Isn't it awful that the price of ink for a printer is so darn expensive! Seems you can get a new printer for a bargain, but keeping it in ink costs you a fortune!! Yes the forum is very busy right now with everyone posting for the Win Your Wish! Isn't it fun to see so much activity here! Our birthday party is always a great time!
Have fun doing some scrapping today!

Ok I am off to get DH and myself something to eat and then better get ready to go to the grocery store!

Good morning, ladies. Had a busy week and this wkend is busy with a party, mtg at bank to renew mortgage, errands and then hopefully home by early evening to relax for a bit. Tomorrow we'll spend with B. She should be moved within a few wks or so to a rehab home care placement as a step-down from where she is now. They are trying to find her an open spot to get into. Hopefully that will help determine what her needs will be for when she comes home.

Chris - I'm reading a good book, Never Tell by Lisa Gardner. I've read a few others of hers and they are good murder thrillers.

Kay - good luck with the printer. Ours is an ink hog and I hope my next one is more economical. Its a Canon, but all my others had been HP before.

I've scrapped a little here and there and am enjoying it. I'm pulling out kits I haven't used in ages and having fun combining new and old, different stores, etc. I'm actually getting used to not being online so much and am fine with it. It gives me more time to scrap, I read more, and I get more work done during work hours. So, this new balance of scheduling is working well.

I'm getting another coffee, only have about 1/2 hr before I need to get showered and head out with hubs to the bank. So, my busy wkend starts....

Hi ladies-
lazy day scrapping and organzing some files. Scrapped a layout and on to another. I too have found a good book and it is on kindle unlimited and is a series, so i read one book yesterday and started another.

Chris- DD is home for 9 days. She is supposed to come home this summer, but not sure. Yes dogs produce alot of hair. I have a roomba vacumn thatI run almost daily. Chris- you are such an animal lover- you don't even mind those you are alergic to!

Rae- glad you are enjoying some time scrapping v. online. You are right that online time does cut into scrapping and everything else.

trudy- you are busy cleaning!

Kay you are having a busy week. awesome! I keep telling my MIL to get out and not sit home alone since FIL is gone. She has no hobies unfortunately. She has been out alot this past week because our weather was decent until today.

The new printers are so cheap now. Enjoy and new printer. Might use less ink too!!! I love having a copier and scanner feature.

good evening - whew I had a busy day and yesterday and very productive. Had an awesome breakfast with my girlfriend. Then got my hair cut and colored and I walked home. Yes it was only .7 miles but it felt awesome. The weather was spring like with a high of 74, yes 74. OMgosh I have missed those temps. Today started with PT and had a new therapist as they rotate who is on on Saturday's. He was nice and got it a lot of exercises that were new. It is very low key on Sat as there is only one therapist and a couple of aides. They play such good music. LOL. Then in the afternoon my DH and I went driving. I was able to get comfortable with going from gas to braking. My DH would every once in while yell stop just to see if I could stop fast. And I could. I am so happy now! I won't be driving on highways but I can sure do all the errands. I will work up to more driving. Yea! Watched some hockey. Good news for my Devils they have now won two games in a row. Last night was a shoot out win. I was happy but up too late. My team plays again on Sunday afternoon in Colorado.

Chris that is awesome that you are doing so much to get ready for your surgery. But don't forget you do have other family members to help. That is so sad that you are allergic to the rats. Glad that the hives don't last long. They are so cute! Relax a bit now!

Kay I love my HP printer. It is a large format printer so if I need to I can print my scrap pages 12x12. It uses very little ink. But what I like best is that it is wireless. So nice that I don't have to have a cable to print. It was not all that expensive but it does not scan. How nice to have joined your daughter and SIL on their dinner. Me I love Italian.

Trudy I expect nothing less than to know that you and your MG are out doing your errands and then enjoying your backyard. I am loving all the painting you are posting on FB. I loved Versailles too. I cant imagine actually living there. Your page is awesome.

Rae that is wonderful that you have found your balance. If you are happy that has to help everyone else. Love that you are looking at your old stash and mixing and matching. How fun! Have fun with B and I hope this new place works well for you all!

Sharon how fun to have your DD home. I need a roomba. Our German shepherd has become obsessed with our vacuum and thinks it is a play toy. Not a good thing. Have fun scrapping!

Have a great day all!

Why am I so tired this morning??? So darn tired. I don't think that I did much of anything yesterday. I mean I did, maybe I just did more than I think I did.
I dunno.
I was able to order the Shutterfly book, refilled all of my Rx's, vacuumed, 2 loads of laundry. I feel very much behind in Oscraps stuff. I still need to get my For Fun Challenge ready for the party. That needs to be #1 on my list today and I also have to keep working on my food shopping list for Tuesday.

Hoping that all of you have a wonderful day!

Kay- I have been sorting through the Win Your Wish threads too- always so nice to see the generosity of the Designers and the enthusiasm of the members :)
That is too funny that DD forgot her anniversary but what a nice time you have had being so social this week.
I know that I have read Blue Smoke and The Search but I don't know if I have read Come Sundown.

Trudy- I am sure that you had a busy day with your Gary. Bet it felt fabulous to e outside!!
Yeah, I am allergic to rats. I didn't really know that I was until Muffin's tail hit me it the eyeball and the entire cornea bubbled up (ewwwww, it was so disgusting!). Now I am more careful with them near my face but everything else is fair game.
I am going to have to look for your Versailles pages.

Rae- you seem to go non-stop! I don't know how you do it. Do you know if the rehab spot will be close to you? I hope so. I can't remember if I read that one by Lisa Gardner- is that the one about the car accident? I know that I have read a few by her.

Sharon- Enjoy those days with DD, I am sure they are going to fly by. I need some more time scrapping, you have been so busy.
Yeah, I am a bit kooky with animals aren't I?:)

Nancy- How fab to be out and about so much on Friday! You got to 74*, sweet!!!! Are you walking with a cane now or on your own yet?
I don't know if my heart would be able to take it if Gary yelled at me to brake but I guess you have to do what is necessary to get ready to brake hard. Be safe driving but enjoy the freedom!!!

I need to get going. I have a headache but can't take anything other than Tylenol, which never does a thing. Maybe some food will help.

Happy St Patricks Day to all who celebrate it!
I'm a big fan of everything Irish. The most talented actors and actresses and the most handsome men are Irish, with sure! Into the store have so sweet St Patrick's kits, but we don't celebrate it here, so I don't see where will use it. It would be nice if O has some related challenge, but looks like for the O team the marketing strategy is less important than to restrict people. However! No cranky mood, let see how others feels.

Chris, get some fun and quiet 'Me' time and hope to help you lift your spirit!

Nancy, so happy to hear that you like your PTs and they are all nice and kind! Guess you are excited to add new exercises, and it should be. WOW already drive, impressive! Hope you aren't irresponsible!

Sharon, if you don't mina share with us which is this book series you enjoyed? Huuh, I hate my printer is so expensive to use it with these color boxes, which are expensive and volatilize so fast.

Rae, hope you was able to found this time to relax for a bit, which you was wished! Sounds fun your scraping process! I was inspired by Win your wish list, because I also start with kit first. Good luck with B's changes! I can't understand your health system, here first care is the patient to be back home sooner. Just hope that they treat her well!

Trudy, oh, my family did same as yours just in the other part of the world  and  !

Kay, aww, I love italian food, and what a fun you are have with this forgotten anniversary! Love to see you go out so often and surrounded by your family!

Jean, I saw you around into the party treats, so :waving: and hope you are in better health!

Love you all, girls, have party tonight even if you aren't Irish!:tea:

Good day - Happy St. Patrick's day. I am now watching my Devils play the Avalanche. Fun watching them in the day. Slept well last night so that is good. However woke up to find it was 28 degrees. Wow what happened to my warm weather. But we waited a while and took Luther and a lot of sun but wind but at least it was above freezing. But the best was that spring birds are beginning to come back. Luther loves to chase the geese. Some day the geese will get mad and chase him. But the best was I kept hearing this bird that I knew I should know but I am terrible at sounds. But finally I saw him and it was a belted kingfisher. I love those birds. I know what birds don't I love LOL. Anyway went to the park and about half way there realized I had left my cane home. So I walked a mile and did really feel good. And I was not tired which is great too.

Chris based on your list I would say you were super busy. I am not surprised you are tired. Have fun getting ready for the party.

Felis I have a bit of Irish in me but no one really likes the tradition corned beef and cabbage but me so we are doing nothing. Yes there are a lot of great Irish actors and actresses.

Have a great day all!
