Why do I get the weirdest songs stuck in my head? I have been flipping between "We Built this City on Rock and Roll" and "Morning has Broken" Neither of them would be on a random playlist in my house. I think that the first one was from the supermarket's piped in music. But that was days ago...
:noidea:
I was in kind of a crummy mood most of the day. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to not stress over money and weather. And politics/state that the US is in. In case you haven't realized this yet (*grins*) I do not do well in chaos. Not even a tiny bit.
J and W did fine at the vet. J's ear was completely clear which is good news! I have one last vax for W and she is set until next year- not counting her rabies but that is done for free by the town. Note to self: Find out when that is and add to the calendar. I think it is going to be the day of the IL's party... which means I am going to have to figure out how to get her there and then be ready for the party on time.

At any rate, dogs are good. I cleaned a bit, did laundry, cleaned the patio. Listened to some of the Supreme Court hearing. (yikes!)

Today I am off to TJ MAXX. My mom (I adore her!) gave me $50 to look for a new outfit to bring on vacation. Maybe I should get a bunch of umbrellas??!! :rain:

I am going to try and be in a better mood today and maybe even get a bot of scrapping in. There are several new designers here and that makes me really excited!

Have a happy and sunny day!

Trudy- so you sweated your butt off on the hike? Bet that a shower at the end of the day felt amazing. I hope that your foot is ok and no chipped bone because what in the world can they even do for that?
Raynaud's... welcome to the club of wearing sock all of the time and being miserable in the frozen food section! I am not laughing, I am commiserating. My kids and I have that and we got it from my mom. It can be really painful. Sorry that you have to deal with that, especially since there isn't anything you can do to make it go away.

Nancy- You are off to Sweden next?? How fun! You are a world traveler for sure. You better keep on buying EHDs LOL

Rae- Do you think you will have some down time today? You have been crazy busy with work and the hospital. Any news about B yet? You know that I have my fingers all crossed too.

That leash sounds cool and will be even better when you get a lighter one. Go Taz, go! :dogwalk:

Jean- It is cooler here today too and will be in the upper 60's/lower 70s this weekend.

I *wish* I had tips for Trudy with Raynaud's. :( Other than layers of socks and gloves...
Scott swears by wool socks year round. He has a couple of pairs that he lives in so next time I do laundry, I will look and see what brands they are.

Felis- what???? Your English should have nothing to do with how you do the challenges. I promise, no one will ban you from the Ooos!

good morning - the weather has broken. It was so hot yesterday! I took Luther to vet to make sure his ear was clear and it was. But sometimes I find the vet's waiting room can be a bit intimidating. I went yesterday and a woman had a large pit bull mix. Well she could not control him and that makes me angry. It was not the pit bull's fault it was hers for sitting next to the door and not being strong enough to keep from charging at Luther. Finally the staff came out and put him in a room. Luther was awesome -he did not bark or growl and listened to me. Made me a happy happy doggie mom. And today he is rewarded by going to doggie day care. My DH is home and he has another dentist appt. I go 3 times a year so that I do not have to have major repairs. Like car maintenance to keep from having major car problems you do the little things. LOL. Made an awesome dinner - a middle eastern flavored chicken dish with green beans and tomatoes and placed on top of couscous. Again no left overs. Yea! Today is a pork dish so a good week! Got 1 and half more years photos backed up and feels good. But I had forgotten that when my DIL got her phone on our plan it added her photos to my photo stream. Whew have to get rid of those but first I have to find out if they want them. A lot of videos of their dogs. Cute but I want my space back. Do is more of the same. Watched Serena win and Madison Keys lose. The young woman from Japan was great and seems really grounded and having fun. Should be fun to see the finals on Sat.

Chris glad your puppies were good. That is always a fun feeling. And it seems like Washington and the people there are not living in our reality. It is crazy stuff! I do like how our Senator is handling the Supreme Court nominee. He asks great questions that I would love to know the answers to but have yet to hear him answer. Have fun shopping!

Trudy glad the hike was fun. My sister has Reynauld's too and she has found that when I take her to cool or cold places that hand warmers in her pockets work wonders and they last a long time. For our trip to Alaska I brought her an electric coat. It is battery operated and she loved it. I used and use a battery operated hoodie. It is like having an electric blanket travel with you. The coat has settings that just warm the pockets. You might look into coats like this. In the US the company is Milwaukee and they also make tools and the batteries fit the tools as well as the clothes.

Rae so good to hear the news about B and the teams meeting and determining where she is will best cared for and helped to get better! Glad your plans are working well. Not surprised as you are one of the most organized I know. Have fun at the last wedding shoot. I did one for my daughter's granddaughter and it was so stressful. I don't know how you do it. But have fun!

Jean glad you weather has gotten cooler. I guess the fall is coming.

Felis that is crazy that your translation is getting in the way of challenges. Have great weekend.

Have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. It was nice to finish up work by dinner time last night, eat a reasonable hour and get Taz out for a night time walk. He loves our new jogging routine together. I'm not sure how good it will feel in the rain but I guess I'll find out this wkend b/c the rain is coming this afternoon, for the next 7 days. Fingers crossed for good weather next wkend for the wedding. I've got engagement photos to edit today as I take breaks from work and then get them loaded into the client gallery so a photo can be chosen to be mounted onto mat board for guest signing at the wedding. Tomorrow morning I will bring in the photo for printing and order the mat board.

I am perusing Craigs List for a new dresser and armoire for the spare bedroom where I keep my off-season clothes. The drawers collapsed in one old dresser and its not worth fixing. Need another armoire too. Hope to find them in a dark wood.

For dinner last night I made Crack Slaw (hamburger/pork/coleslaw with an asian flavor) and tried using organic soy sauce (buy it for D) as I haven't had soy in about 2 yrs. I had a headache all night but thankfully its almost gone now. It reinforced my need to be diligent about keeping soy out of my diet and stick to coconut aminos as a replacement.

Chris - glad the dogs got a clean bill of health from the vet. Have fun shopping.

Trudy - pocket warmers sound like a good idea. How's the foot?

Nancy - I always get hungry, reading your posts about your food LOL. It all sounds so good (even though I can't eat a lot of it).

Hope you all have a great day. I'm going to work now and need to get finished up on the editing too. Talk later.

Morning everyone! Yesterday I was not home all day long :mmph: After going to the Dentist I ran home to change my clothes to get ready for our lunch and then off to meet everyone. By the time we finished our lunch and all the chatting it was almost time dinner time and I just made it home about 2 minutes before DH did. Today will be another busy one as I need to go to our Service Provider and straighten out a bill from when we switched from Telus to Shaw. Oh dear, my sister is here for an unannounced visit LOL I better get the door and get going. :sorry: I won't be able to catch up with you all until a bit later today!

It's been a mixed day today. My eldest was presented with a Young People's Award for her music participation in the town last night by the head of the Council, and today on the way to school she was so happy and going to tell everyone. Unfortunately happy didn't last very long. One of her maths teachers died at 5am. TJ was still very upset and crying when she got home and gave me the letter about it. Councillors have been made available for staff and pupils at the school, and I've been given a free phone number for a children's bereavement helpline if we need it over the weekend. To help her settle for bed tonight we watched a romance film together.
I've emailed the school head about her achievement for her, and he's going to make sure she knows how proud he is of her next week.

Hello girls,

I just saw at the newsletter that my friend Karen from Snickerdoodle Designs is become designer here at O. Welcome, Karen! :welcome:

You maybe remember that I was told you about Karen and her son when Rae's B start her rehabilitation, and also Chris, I'm sure you'll like this post in her blog.

It's kind of sad she is here when I'm not able to be better support, but I'm sure that you my friends will make her feel comfortable!

Some personal notes:
Chris, I know that you try to makes me feel better, but actually it's become to looks worse, if not my english was reason to misunderstood all these challenge instructions, that have to mean that I'm dumb enough to can't follow simple instruction ;), see it's even worse. Don't worry, dear, this is only one of four language I'm tried to learn and failed. I don't take it too seriously because of my firm conviction, that life is too short to worth it to lose time improving in something that doesn't comes naturally to you.

Angela, welcome in your chat group! I'm happy to see you and curious to know you well! Sorry that your child have to deal with such a hard moment! I guess it's difficult loss to be explained in young age.

Trudy, knowing how close you are with your sis I'm sure she will give you some fun time! And hope these tasks that you should do to not cost you too much nervous!

Rae, I'm sure that the engagement photos are turn wonderful, you are always so precise in your work!

Nancy, oh good that dogs don't get fight! This is why I get vet to home visit, I know I'm not able to control my dog and don't create risk for others. Irresponsible owners are so annoys. I think your DIL definitely will want these dog videos. Aren't you able to transfer them on flash drive?!

Have a lovely weekend you all!
